- New for 2024!
The SansAmp XB Driver integrates key elements from our most popular bass products -the SansAmp Bass Driver DI, Para Driver DI, Q\Strip and the dUg Pinnick Ultra Bass 1000-and condensed them into a single sleek machine. And just like that, you can go from traditional to diabolical.
The 100% analog, dual-channel SansAmp XB Driver is a veritable vault of treasured bass tones. It is a sophisticated dual-amp, bi-amp, DI toolbox with 15 knobs and 3 switches. Intuitively arranged, like familiar amplifier controls, you can craft a broad range of bass tones without a PhD.

Tech21 is really taking good care of us bassists!!! Tim, you're the perfect bassist to demonstrate the new XB gear!!!
The moment I saw the first announcement of this unit, my first thought was “Tim is all over this and has at least a few videos ready to go giving us the rundown”
And of course… I was right. Tim has us covered
That thing sounds insanely good, nice work Tim!
Sounds great! The first precision you play clean sounds like a jazzbass, nice!
The mix, crossover mode was another level of bass bottom goodness. Thanks for the demo!
The bi-amp sound is incredibly good.
Sounds excellent
I play guitar and but I play bass as well. What guitar player does not love bass. My RBI + Black Lion Bluey comp with mix knob = Bass Heaven. My Q-Strip is a handy tool. When sending bass or guitar tracks to a customer, etc this hardware gets it done. ✌️.
Much love from Bronx new York! I love my geddy pedal and I would love the pedal of this device!
This is why Tech21 SansAmp is the best - made right here in America. Happy 4th of July!
Can you explain how send and return work? Does this go before or after the preamp? Is the signal still on when bypassed? thanks
Sounds amazing 😎🤘!!
Cool, sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. Just a little more grind that I can tweak for inline recording. / I trust Tim
I would love to see that paired with the 2112 DI… I bet that would be a FIERCE combination, although probably not even necessary
OMG, this sounds killer. I just dumped a shit ton of money on an Ampeg SGT-DI. Damn. I think I backed the wrong horse.
Bi amp sounds very nice
Sounds awesome!!
Would love if you guys could come out with a rack version
Hi Tim, sounds great. Quick one: LPF & HPF are active only in the Mix mode? So, when you use a clean or drive tone the filters are deactivated even if the crossover switch is engaged, right? Thanks in advance and thanks for the great videos.
Correct! The filters are only engaged in Mix Mode
@@TimStarace Perfect! Thanks a lot
Soon I hope!!❤
Sounds fucking amazing
🤘🤘🤘
Has a lot of dUg Pedal as its DNA, but doesn't seem to have that characteristic Sans Amp, or Geddy pedal mids. I do like the almost everything in one box solution though
UHHHHH THIS! mini the hell outta it into a flyrig housing and it's perfect!!!
Hi Tim, given that the XB Driver shares a lot of features with the DP-3X, does it also share the same drive circuit?
Only think missing for me to make it a one pedal carry is a tuner…
Yeah.. was so disappointed on that point too!
I really like the bi-amp sound. However, I have a Dug Pinnick pedal (like a bi-amp) and I have found that in a live setting, I get lost in the mix...
Hey Tim,
How would you compare the xb driver to the Bello Street Driver?
I am very interested in picking one of them up but having problems deciding…
Great demo!
Can't wait until they're available here in Europe on Thomann or something.
Hi Tim! When this beast will come to Indonesia?
This sounds better to me than the Ampeg SGT-DI. Can anyone compare the two?
You can get the dug sound too!
I really like that they have that dug sound on this one!!
Well such a great Idea, but really these days with so many people playing at home and wanting an all in one rig, they really F'ed up by not having a Stereo AUX input and a headphone out. that alone is a no brainer and I have really been waiting for Tech 21 to put something out that can do that as well, to bad.......I was really hoping with this one
Sounds nice, the real test will be whether it replaces your Geddy pedals is future videos....
haha… towards the end he says “Be at NAMM”… but in my mind, I heard it as “Bietnam”…
back in the NAMM… Charlie was EVERYWHERE… it was Biet Cong and North Bietnamess coming at us from out of nowhere wanting us to try out their stuff, man!!! KNOWING that once we did… we would be wanting to BUY IT!!!
Life in the NAMM is HELL boys… 😂
I looked and could not find the Tech21 booth at 4000, did it get moved?
Seems ok, but can it make fry's?
👍👌
Oh I want this... #timstaraceismyspiritanimal
This is a bass a$$ pedal which ALMOST solves my bi-amp problems. So close!
The main issue is combining it with other drive and distortion pedals. I could certainly put them before the XB, but then I'd lose the benefit of the clean lows. An FX loop before the drive channel, with a defeatable buffer (simple internal y-split for fuzz pedals), would be immensely helpful.
Also, a way to then disable th drive channel and another post fx loop just for the drive channel and way to bypass the cab sim circuitry on both channels separately.
This would beat almost every challenge for every user.
Unbalanced XLR? Really?
