- A few years ago, Sam Horn was considered the next big thing for Mizzou and was arguably the highest ranking QB commit in school history, but flash forward a few years, not only has he not lived up to the hype on the field, but he also may have just given up on the sport entirely. Horn has sort of gotten screwed over at Mizzou and today we will take a look at his rise, his fall and what is next for him, enjoy!

This was a video that was never supposed to be released but what topic should I do next? (I have a lot of unreleased videos)
Scott! MIZ my brother
How did he get screwed over? He couldn't make up his mind and that cost him, but he wasn't screwed over
He chose baseball over football, he wasn’t screwed over at all
He didn't choose baseball for football he just got injuries and as Cook got better he would have to sit and wait, then the tj surgery so the staff has to keep looking elsewhere
I played football and baseball for 4 years at Mizzou from 2001-2005. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done! It’s almost impossible for your body not to break down at first because of the physical demand from each sports. Unfortunately, each sport kinda takes away from the other. Spring football is major as its the time you get bigger, faster, stronger and compete for starting positions for the coming season. Equally, the fall season for baseball is major for coaches to build their teams for the spring. So because you miss essential chunks of each sport, you’re seen as not being fully committed to either sport. That’s why you hardly see kids playing two sports at major universities anymore. I tore my ACL in the last practice headed into the Independence Bowl game my junior year. But I truly hope he gets back healthy and confident in his abilities!🙏🏽🙏🏽… MIZ!!!
That’s a cool story about you. What position did you play?
Didnt u play for pattonville in high school?
@@ThoughtsSoRandom yessir!
@trobe25 MY cousin was in the band so I was at all the games even state, you was a straight DAWG

He wasn’t screwed over Brady Cook earned it over him..The majority of Mizzou fans including myself didn’t have much faith in Brady Cook going in to the start of last year and then he proved himself and outplayed Horn..No one was screwed
Yep.
Sat Cook against SD last Season
Results speak for themselves.
Cook was the right guy for the job
I went to HS with sam horn and although I didnt know him personally, some mutuals told me he liked baseball more than football
Can we do Mitch Mustain? Former #1 ranked QB coming out of high school back in the 2000s
He plays baseball too so it dosent matter
I'm still holding out hope that he might come back in 2025. Cook will be gone, and the only other experienced QB on the roster will be the transfer Drew Pyne, so there is an opportunity for him. There's a lot of talk about Matt Zollers, but he will be a true freshman in 2025. You also have Aidan Glover, a high three-star in the 2024 class, who didn't look even remotely ready for college football in the spring game.
It will be interesting to see. It certainly is a shame that Horn's injuries have kind of screwed him over. Ultimately, that was a risk he decided to take by playing both sports, and if I recall correctly, one of the big reasons he chose Mizzou was because Mizzou was one of the few schools willing to let him play both.
Whatever he chooses to do with his athletic career, I wish him the best.
Matt Zollers is next up there
Agreed but it’s Cooks team right now
Pyne is next up if needed.
Zollers is the likely future
Cook goes off if healthy through the Season.
He'll get a Heisman invite.
Underrated QB and leader
Not as a freshman
@@kevinornduff3363 Right. Drew Pyne is presumptive QB2
I ont think Sam Horn got a fair chance at the job yes. But he's going to be just fine with his future baseball career.
MIZ
Sam didnt get screwed over. He chose baseball over football and he got hurt playing baseballl. If he really wants to he could compete for the starting spot next year/
He’s a RS SO and will get medical redshirt this season and have a really good shot to start in 2025.
Please explain! How the hell did he get screwed? And he’s hurt his arm again.
I had this guy in one of my classes, pretty chill guy
Yeahhh the title is SOOO miss leading.. He hurt his arm playing baseball and the kid is still getting NIL money..
Best units of all time (LB,WR,QB, RB etc) like how they did in college and in the nfl
Is that how you view the world, when someone beats you out for a job fair and square you “got screwed over”? Uncle Rico level take
I agree this is very misleading. Sam is hurt and will still have a shot if he wants. He will get a medical redshirt and have to beat out the competition. Again, if he wants. Being injured happens to a lot of athletes. That is not being screwed over by anyone or the team. It is just something that happens.
Horn didn't get screwed over. This is a team sport that is about doing the best thing for the TEAM. In addition, each player has to earn their way through depth chart. Injuries happen. Teams rarely guarantee the starting role to a player. Horn did not get screwed over.
He is going to focus on baseball. Dude he is still young and will be a pro baseball player
My dawg and Brother Brady Cook was simply better. Shout out Austyn Carta Samuels and LockedIn for getting Brady ready for these big moments we knew he was capable of being successful in. Brady is a dawg
Tough kid
Good QB, great leader
Team first and no excuses.
I think he's going to NY this year
Damn lucky to have him playing for the Home Team.
Appreciate the young Man
Respect from the South Side (StL)
MIZ
Horn wasn’t screwed over, at all. Cook won the QB job and Horn got hurt. Besides, if he got “screwed over” then he wouldn’t have been allowed to pitch for the baseball team.
You know both Garcia and Johnson both hit the portal?
yes, lol
Assuming this is Travis Hunters old Hs and he wears #12 I’m assuming that’s who he was throwing to this whole video 😂😂
Yes you are correct
I was excited to watch Sam play, unfortunately he probably never will. He's out this entire year for injury and he'll have to win the job in 2025 against some very talented dudes who all like football more than he does.
At this point i think he should quit football and focus on baseball. The football team needs more from him than he's willing to contribute.
What happened to Ex North Carolina top rated quarterback Chris Keldorf
Unless your name is Bo Jackson you would be wise to pick one sport to focus on. He only screwed himself.
Dion Sanders, Micheal Jordan that said I don't think it will happen again b/c the risk of injury is to high for a modern-day pro team to allow it.
But it still happens in college James Winston, Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray are a few football/baseball players that come to mind. Tony Gonzalez Julius Peppers Antonio Gates for football/basketball.
Kendre Harrison is a two sport superstar playing right now.
Misleading.
Couldn't watch. Music has never aided dialog. Thanks for trying
Tragedy? Nope.
You can’t play two sports
This is such a terrible video wtf
Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels.
He didn't get screwed over. He just didn't have the brain power to pick a sport .if u think he got screwed then u not that smart either
