As punishment for not recognizing the Ferencvaros first team players, Tom should play an FM challenge with Ferencvaros 🙃 Something easy, like "win UCL and WCC with Ferencsvaros in 10 seasons max"
You should go to Greece for the next round of the UCL, as PAOK are hosting Malmö for the second leg- the atmosphere is going to be insane and you're guaranteed high action and entertaining football as well
Jagiellonia - Bodo, but in Poland (Białystok). The city isn't as unique as Bodo, but Jagiellonia is in the Champions League qualifications for the first time so the stadium will be crowded and the atmosphere on the stands very hot.
Hi Tom it was great meeting you at the TNS game, I was the villa fan. But I suggest you go to the Bodo Glimt game as it would be cool to go to the arctic circle to see a game.
As a Ferencvaros fan I really enjoyed this round of the Cl, next we got FC Midtjylland. By the way we use those high shirt numbers in our club for our best players. Honestly no idea why.
Remember back in the day during Soccer Saturday Jeff Sterling if TNS won he would say. They will be dancing in the streets of Total Network Solutions tonight. So glad to see them getting some love.
That was actually the ground anthem for a while.. lyrics were something like “don’t feel down don’t feel in distress, you’ll be dancing in the streets of TNS”
TNS doesn't really have fans, and are pretty disliked by Welsh football fans. Being the only professional team in the country they completely dominate the league and leaves the Cymru Prem to be completely uncompetitive, with Connah's Quay Nomads being the only real competitor. But, despite this, they are our only team left in Europe and we need them to win a fixture or two in the Europa and Conference Leagues for Wales to not lose a European place. They are essentially a National League North side in terms of quality and probably should be playing there, despite being representatives of Llansantffraid as well as Oswestry, would do a world of good if they could swap places with Merthyr Town who are a fan owned team in the 7th tier of England and are the only viable Welsh team in the English pyramid that can feasabley enter the Welsh pyramid without being a financial disaster. Speaking of finances, the Cymru leagues really need investment by the FAW (Welsh FA) if they are to became a more competitive league on the European stage, removing the financial inequality and allowing for clubs across the top 2 tiers to improve to an extent where more than 100 fans are willing to turn up to games. The Welsh pyramid has lovely fans and teams but there just isn't the incentive for the casual fan to get involved, most football fans in Wales support the top 6 or Midlands teams, or the local football league side and it's rare that the Cymru leagues have any appeal to many of these fans outside of European fixtures like this one.
Welsh FA should try to bring Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and Newport back from England imo. But ofc, they need to pump money to motivate them because they earn alot of money in Championship/L1/L2 than what the welsh league is currently offering. If they bring the cash, i don't think their fans would mind having some european nights rather than 2nd/3rd tier of english pyramid.
For the next round i would recommend going for the jagiellonia białystok - bodo glimt game, the team form Poland is really intresting story - they won the title for the first time in history (on the start od the season they were predicted 13 in the league and season before they were 4 points safe from the relegation zone) and also, they are probably the only polish team playing that attacking football so their games are really fun.
PAOK vs. Malmö sounds like a fun match. Going to Malmö to showcase swedish football sounds like an interesting idea. But the athmosphere in Thessaloniki should be an absolute banger.
Unfortunately, due to regulations, they are not allowed to play in their own historic stadium. Instead they play European games in the stadium of rivals RSC Anderlecht. Atmosphere is guaranteed though, very good beers as well.
@shaneg9081 yes mate. Ive moved to Asia. The price of living and the arrogance of Australia and British people was not a nice place to live. But yes i have become an expert at driving from Sydney to Canberra. If you go to Australia i advise that you fly into Sydney see it for one day and hope its nice weather and then travel to Canberra and then further south and climb Australia biggest mountain (which also is covered in snow and snowfields in winter) Mount Kosciuszko. The beer is amazing there and the stars at night are breathtaking. Also seeing Kangaroos is special. Also ive found Japanese really love travelling to Queensland. Its a bit closer to Japan lol. But its beautifup. Cairns and Townsvlle are very tropical but super far away from anywhere. Tasmania is an amazing place. It has the purest water in the world and YES you can drink directly from the tap. Tasmania also has super delicious fruit (seriously China buys all our best cherries, super big and delicous) Also Tasmania has amazing Salmon. If you go to Australia PLEASE stay out of Sydney and Melbourne Only go to Melbourne if you want sporting events like Australian Open tennis and AFL matches. Melbourne also has the best nightlife. Sydney has possibly the worlds best foreworks show. Spend the $500 and have a boat tour underneath the firworks on the Harbour Bridge on new years eve. Its the most amazing memory ive seen. Be prepared to waste money in unreasonable measures though
Why, when they are representing Llansantffraid (a place in Wales) as much as it’s representing Oswestry (a town with a lot of Welsh connections despite being in England)? Besides, if you did that with TNS, the precedent is set and then all of Berwick Rangers, Newport, Wrexham, Cardiff and Swansea would have to change the which leagues they play in.
And why would TNS get banished to England, they've literally no history in the English Leagues, although Oswestry has some history in England, they also played in Wales...
It's more to do with finances more than anything, I'm pretty sure they're the only pro team in the welsh leagues, they get hundreds of thousands of £s just for qualifying and winning 1 or 2 rounds which puts them at a huge advantage over the rest of the league
@@StogglerThe idea TNS represent Llansantffraid is laughable, like saying Milton Keynes Dons represent Wimbledon. Llansantffraid Village FC represents Llansantffraid. TNS should change their name to Oswestry and be honest. I don't object to cross border sport.
My team Boldmere St Michael's went there a couple of years ago to play former Co tenents FC Oswestry Town in a pre season game. It was three days after TNS had hosted a UEFA Champions League Qualifier and the facilities at Park Hall were a few steps up from what we were mostly used to in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
If Union St Gilloise are allowed to play at their own stadium, I'd suggest that. Otherwise, would probably go for Jagiellonia, since Polish sides tend to bring good atmospheres. Slovan Bratislava is also good, from personal experience
You should go watch Dynamo Kyiv in the UCL, I think it would be interesting to see them play not at their home stadium foe obvious reasons so they are playing at Poland, and also they are playing Rangers so you could continue your English teams campaign.
Hello from sunny Uzbekistan) if you really love hard and interesting challenges in FM, take that: Easy challenge: take two clubs from League One and promote to the Premier League, but your first club HAVE TO stay in PL while you in second team. I really really hope we will get a series like this next year also(even after two episodes I absolutly like it), it is awesome to get to see the stadiums and the different teams around Europe. I really wish that you will have the time and money for it. And that we viewers can show that we are interested in this type of content.n
I would recommend going to APOEL! They’re current champions in Cyprus they’re record league winners with 29 wins. A surprisingly large stadium and ofc Nicosia has some amazing Greek/cypriot food.
I am a fan of Stratford Town FC (level 3 - Southern League Central Prem division. I went to the 1st Road fixture v FC Decic. Never seen Champions League football before, great night but was disappointed they didn’t play the Champions League anthem. Good luck in the Europa Conference.
I was at this game. Me and my mate travel around Europe watching footy. We've been to 3 Ferencváros games and have booked a day trip to Poznan and Prague - you should try it. Super cheap too. We're doing Poznan for under £50 all in
When there is a playoff, Red Star in Belgrade must follow. I think you will be satisfied with the match, the atmosphere at the stadium and of course the food in the city 😁
I don't get it - if my local village team was playing Ferencvaros I'd be organizing a massive party and shouting it from the rooftops. Bigging it up to celebrate playing a team of this magnitude. And the team would be motivated to go and play their game of their lives to try and perform and get a result to celebrate as village legends. But none of this happened here....
Glad to see you diversifying your output man. I often wonder about folk who do gaming videos and what the long term prospects of it are in terms a career. Looks like you've seen there might be an endpoint to FM experiment videos and are trying to build something more sustainable. Best of luck with it and who knows, maybe we'll see you on MOTD in a few years time.
Do Bodo/Glimt, it’s around the arctic circle and it will be a super interesting location to visit. Love these style of videos as a fan of football and geography!
I decided to check how mental the drive from Ferencvaros to Oswestry would be. It's about the same as driving from my home town of Ottawa to Winnipeg, which I have done. 22 hours 45 minutes of driving time over two days is doable, though it is a bit mental. North Americans are used to 5+ hour drives to see their team play - Atletico Ottawa's closest competition is York United in the north end of Toronto. The only closer competition is if we draw a team from Quebec in the Canadian Championship.
Brilliant video Tom! Would love to see you watch FC FCSB take on Sparta Prague. I'm doing a Be A Pro career mode for my character Chris Crumpet (The Crumpet) and his first team that he played for was FCSB! Would be absolutely awesome for ya to take trip down to Romanian and check out Cumpet's old stomping grounds haha! Keep up the great work mate!
As a Feyenoord fan i would recommend going to Twente when they play at Home vs Salzburg They were relegated about 6/7 Years ago but climbed back up where they once were and their fans are pretty good! Thereby i think there will be an unbelievable atmosphere once they play a Champions League game at home. So i'd recommend going there
union st. gilloise vs slavia prague will be an interesting game I believe. Union has only fairly recently joined 1st division in the 2021/2022 season where they immediately were fighting for the championship, and have been doing so for every season since their return. i think also their run last year in the europa league can also be seen as more reasons why this match could be interesting to see some good football
I suggest to go to Apoel-bratislava. If you have never been in Cyprus, Apoel is the biggest team on the island. After 5 years of absence in European Group stages, we already secured a spot in Conference. The atmosphere, the fans, it's a whole another experience. We welcome everyone, you can have a small idea to what to expect from another TH-camr, Thogden. Whichever match you choose, i hope you have a good time.
In these games you don't go to see a nice match. You go for the atmosphere or see how the Lumberjack Welsh experience it in a Champions League match. Great video!
Of those fixtures I would 100% go to Rangers vs Dynamo Kiev. Both storied teams who would rather not be playing at this stage of the competition and of course is known as the Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko derby… Interesting to see where you go with the food ratings as well in this series. 5* for dominoes and some cheesy chips leaves you nowhere to go and food is a LOT better than that at lots of stadiums. Either way, keep up the good work!
Go to Saint-Gilles if they play at their home ground. Despite them crushing us a couple of times during the last seasons: great people and a nice ground. If they play at Leuven just make sure you can go there....their mayor has some issues with tourists...
Hi Tom! Just wanna commend your level of dedication in your videos thank you for touring us around uncommon destinations where there is champions league football.
Hey @TomFM - love your videos as i'm an FM addict since.. since it was Championship Manager and it only had one league :D I think you should go and watch FC Twente play Salzburg in The Grolsch Veste - great atmosphere there.
You shouldve done it where you picked a team in the first qualifying round and watched them till they got knocked out, then move on to the team that knocked them out
Great video! I'm really enjoying the vibez of these stadiums and scenery so far! I would like to see you go to the Malmo and PAOK game either in Greece of Sweden. Keep up with the great work!
There was also FC Oswestry Town of the NWCL who are now defunct who ground shared at TNS. I know this because I travelled on the coach with my team Boldmere St Michaels to play them in a pre season friendly a few seasons ago.
Having a girlfriend who lived down the road at Ardleen I went to several of the old Oswestry Town games back in the day. The local support was pathetic and the stadium was a run-down dump of an old Army training ground. If more local people had actually gone to the ground to see the team play back in the day and if they had cared about the club enough to help maintain its premises, the club would never have found itself in the situation in which it had to cry out for help. I'm no big fan of Mike Harris or his club, but look at the situation now to how it was 25 years ago and just be grateful for what you've got, because nobody else would have given you any of thet..
Silver lining- tomorrow, TNS will play away in moldova vs CS petrocub in the 1st leg of Europa league 3rd round qualifier. Seems like a much more winnable match and possible route into Europa league
Tom I would love you to come to Zagreb for the play-off game on 20th of August (so you can see how bad stadium does best club in Balkan have). I can give you heads up on that + history of the club, maybe I will even come to game. Also you will see great atmosphere (i actually think Bad Blue Boys are best in CL quali games)!
dont think you mentioned that TNS played Liverpool in the 2005-06 CL qualifying, this was caused by the anomoly that CL holders Liverpool finished 5th in the EPL but only 4 English teams had been allowed for so they were squeezed in at the first qualifying round stage beating TNS 6-0 on agg.
I think you should go to Fenerbahçe vs Lille. Two good teams and the Turkish fans are unreal. Also a bonus that you get to see Jose Mourinho's new team
@@KeefGaming1 so I mostly would pick on tns due to them winning the welsh league every year despite not being in wales, Cardiff doesn’t do that and so I don’t have the same want to pick on them since I’m in the champions league by 2030 normally
Well Ferencvaros are a Balon D'or winning club, one of their players won in the 1960's. Would make an interesting FM challenge, getting Hungary another Balon D'or.
The ties that stand out to me is... FC Twente v Salzburg Feberbahce v Lille *Rangers v Dynamo Kyiv* Or if you fancy getting a holiday in at the same time, then head to Cyprus APOEL Nicosia v Slovan Bratislava The Rangers game is probably the stand out tie of the stand out ties
I'd like to see you at the PAOK v Malmo in Greece. My second choice would be Bodo/Glimt v Jagiellonia Białystok in Norway. I'm sure it will be fun whatever you decide.
You should go to the rangers vs Kyiv game for the next round we have amazing atmosphere the scran is brilliant and your wallet will thank you. Bear in mind they may not be playing at ibrox and hampden park instead as they currently are having upgrades done at ibrox.
I think you should come to Turkey for Fenerbahce game if you want a totally different atmosphere. They called the opposing team visiting "Welcome to Hell" for a valid reason.
I always had the idea that if time and money weren't a problem, I would follow my local team in the FA cups earliest round and follow them until they got knocked out. Then, I would follow the new team until they get knocked out. Until the final. Alas, I'm not that rich.
So here are a few good options for Round 3 and my justifications for them 1. Rangers vs Dynamo Kyiv - This should be a close match after the game in Poland, so both teams will probably bring it, on top of you not having to leave the UK and potentially save money on travel, it will make me happy (or sad if Dynamo loose) cause I'm a fan. 2. Fenerbahce vs Lille - It's a bit of a journey, but football in Istanbul always has an atmosphere, it should be close after the 1st leg, and since Mourinho is now the coach of Fenerbahce they have a lot of recognizable names after spending 47 mil. 3. Ferencvaros vs Midtjylland - If you want to follow Ferencvaros, I have no other justifications for this. 4.USG vs Slavia Prague - USG is just a very interesting club, with their rise to prominence in Belgian football.
Best next match to get is APOEL vs Slovan Bratislava, but first match in Bratislava, Slovakia, pls don't get to Cyprus as summer there might there get you heatwave as it might be on 13/08 as per long term weather predictions for Cyprus (about 40°C is predicted for that day)
The fact is that these Ferencváros players are NOT bench-players. The goalkeeper is Dibusz Dénes, one of the best hungarian goalkeeper. ;)
As punishment for not recognizing the Ferencvaros first team players, Tom should play an FM challenge with Ferencvaros 🙃

Going to APOEL vs Slovan Bratislava seems really fun. It’s probably the last or one of the last rounds where you can go to the more obscure countries.
Rangers-Dynamo! That'll be an eye watering experience 😂
Gravy not being over the cheese is criminal
In these games you don't go to see a nice match. You go for the atmosphere or see how the Lumberjack Welsh experience it in a Champions League match. Great video!
Come to Toumba next week for PAOK vs Malmo, it will probably be absolute scenes.
Just a mountain of cold shredded cheese over a basket of chips (fries)? Come on Wales, what are you doing?
Of those fixtures I would 100% go to Rangers vs Dynamo Kiev. Both storied teams who would rather not be playing at this stage of the competition and of course is known as the Oleksiy Mykhaylychenko derby…
Interesting to see where you go with the food ratings as well in this series. 5* for dominoes and some cheesy chips leaves you nowhere to go and food is a LOT better than that at lots of stadiums.
Either way, keep up the good work!
Always enjoyed your FM content but love these actual football vlogs! 🙌 You should come to Bracknell for a game and vlog it 😉
Go to Saint-Gilles if they play at their home ground. Despite them crushing us a couple of times during the last seasons: great people and a nice ground. If they play at Leuven just make sure you can go there....their mayor has some issues with tourists...
Go to the Fenerbahçe - Lille game! I think it will be a great game and Fenerbahçe stadium will have an electric atmosphere.
Hi Tom! Just wanna commend your level of dedication in your videos thank you for touring us around uncommon destinations where there is champions league football.
Hey @TomFM - love your videos as i'm an FM addict since.. since it was Championship Manager and it only had one league :D
I think you should go and watch FC Twente play Salzburg in The Grolsch Veste - great atmosphere there.
You should come to Romania to see Fcsb vs Sparta Prague
So random seeing my home town pop up on youtube. Also Oswestry is pronounced, Oz-wuss-tree with the emphasis on the Oz.
Union has a cool & unique atmosphere, but they play their European competition matches in Anderlecht‘s stadium so you wouldn’t get the real experience
There was also FC Oswestry Town of the NWCL who are now defunct who ground shared at TNS. I know this because I travelled on the coach with my team Boldmere St Michaels to play them in a pre season friendly a few seasons ago.
Its mad you was in my hometown haha, the people of the town arent all too endeared to the club, its a very strange situation
Lol my Swansea to glory save in fm23 I used to schedule friendlies vs tns just to smack them around to show who’s boss of 🏴 😅
What about vs cardiff
@@KeefGaming1 so I mostly would pick on tns due to them winning the welsh league every year despite not being in wales, Cardiff doesn’t do that and so I don’t have the same want to pick on them since I’m in the champions league by 2030 normally
@@mikeavina168 fair 🤣
Love the fact he needs to have a meal per half!
Go to Steaua in Romania, you'll love it in Ghencea! ❤💙
From what little I know about that controversy it seems like a Pandora’s box Tom doesn’t want to open lol
Well Ferencvaros are a Balon D'or winning club, one of their players won in the 1960's. Would make an interesting FM challenge, getting Hungary another Balon D'or.
At the exact same time as you saying The New Saints, I get an offer for one of my players in FM from them haha
The ties that stand out to me is...
FC Twente v Salzburg
Feberbahce v Lille
*Rangers v Dynamo Kyiv*
Or if you fancy getting a holiday in at the same time, then head to Cyprus
APOEL Nicosia v Slovan Bratislava
The Rangers game is probably the stand out tie of the stand out ties
Sometimes it’s a slog going to games. I covered USA v Canada a few years back which was two third string teams and it was rough
union saint gilloise vs slavia prague would be a good game to go to.
I'd like to see you at the PAOK v Malmo in Greece. My second choice would be Bodo/Glimt v Jagiellonia Białystok in Norway. I'm sure it will be fun whatever you decide.
I've never seen anybody report from a Qarabağ match, that would be cool to see
Rangers vs Dynamo Kyiv will be a banger. Hope you cosider it Tom. Cheers
You should go to the rangers vs Kyiv game for the next round we have amazing atmosphere the scran is brilliant and your wallet will thank you. Bear in mind they may not be playing at ibrox and hampden park instead as they currently are having upgrades done at ibrox.
I’m the current manager at llansantffraid . If I had known you were going I would have shown you round the ground and had a chat Tom.
Great video, if you want atmosphere got to watch caernarfon, colwyn bay or bangor, next round go to greece or cyprus
Oswestry is in england for anyone wondering
!
Go to APOEL in Cyprus
Agree 👍
Rangers vs Dynamo (makes most sense)
But Apoel vs Slovan Bratislava would be fun
you gotta go to Fenerbahce vs Lille, that match would be so hype
Nicosia or Bratislava would be interesting to go to.
TNS have Qualified for the League stage of the Conference League
So here are a few good options for Round 3 and my justifications for them
