yeah fuck yeah im from estonia but attended boston college back in the days as interntional student. fuckin great times mate lol we had so much fun it was ridicolous honestly. great fuckin people in boston. hopefully united will be back in league two sometime. would love to come see a game and get hammered downtown
York Street was costing a fortune to rent and was actually in bad repair, the owners wanted to sell the land, so didn't renew the lease. As you saw, they still can't find a buyer. The new stadium when finished will give us a great community club.
Staying at York Street unfortunately was unsustainable. The rent was haemorrhaging our finances and the old facility couldn’t generate any extra revenue. The new stadium provides lots of extra income, attendees are 20% up and its geared for EFL football. In an ideal world I would have loved to stay at York St but we had to evolve and move on.
As a BOSTON UNITED fan this is my first real look at the new stadium as I no longer live there. I mainly attend away matches in the North West as that is where I am now based. Oh the glory days at York Street in my youth. Seeing the last years of the great Kevin Hector. Jimmy Kabia one of the best strikers I ever saw in a Boston shirt. Logans Run v Shrewsbury in the Football league 6-0. Lordy, Lordy in the FA challenge cup semi, and the pitch invasion. Sweet memories !
What a great post, York street had has its day, it’s seen some amazing stories, from manager Gazza to the grizzly body parts found dumped, but the owner of the land was greedy ! The new stadium is amazing, nice bar and food, great atmosphere and fans, (could do with more parking) but lots going on for a community that really needs it right now.
York Street is a much better watch. The new ground, though, brings us much more income, which allows us to return to the level we deserve to be at. The fourth stand will probably start being built next year. Football-wise, I thought we played the better of the two sides, but that red card really cost us the game. Brilliant video. I enjoyed it.
I am a huge Boston fan i was not there on Saturday and i am gutted that i did not see you. The 4th stand is going to be a away fan seating section which should be built soon. Love your videos.
I'm a Halifax Town supporter who lives near Boston(Heckington)The worst thing about York Street away end....the bird shit 🤣 but at least it's only 5 minutes walk from Town centre,The new ground is a bit of a trek 😥
As a Gateshead fan, I’d love a new stadium to be built rather than the current Gateshead international stadium. A stadium like this would be perfect for my club especially if we get promoted to league 2 😁
Pls go to Scarborough Athletic we have a stadium called the flamingo land stadium for god sakes Edit: Boston got some good fans I hope they do well in the National league, maybe if this is the year Scarborough away 25/26
I find it incredibly sad when they take clubs out of central locations and move them out onto soulless industrial estates. I used to support nuneaton borough and our old ground Manor Park ground could generate some serious atmosphere on match days. We moved to a new ground out on an industrial estate and it just killed the club. I go and watch Leicester now so ive experienced some great stadiums and match days but nothing beats some of the old FA cup ties we had at the Borough when we got drew bigger teams.
As a Boston fan the new ground has killed it for me. Massive downgrade. Breaks my heart club leaving character full old school stadiums for the new ‘off the shelf’ grounds. Old grounds should be listed buildings
You should soon go to SC Cambuur Leeuwarden with our brand new stadium, after leaving our beautiful old characteristic stadium from 1936 (that will be demolished and replaced by houses in the beginning of 2025😪). We have not scored in our new stadium after 3 matches (3 missed penalties), which is why we are all talking about the curse of the new Kooi Stadium!
I cycled down the coast last year taking in games, that was the most dismal, banal ground l visited, it's just so dispiritingly dreary. Grimsby's is falling apart but it just oozes British football character, Lincoln's is good too, downright odd & interesting and Kings Lynn's has a classic grandstand in a beautiful location. But Boston's left me cold. Cracking kit though.
Boston moved stadiums because the town centre was to busy in match days because it’s next to one of the most used roads the jcs was better because it’s further out
Yo Josh, Dartfords ground is class aswell and there in like the 7th tier or smth I know cos I’m a Charlton fan and went there when we played against them in pre season
We are quite a self-deprecating nation but we can be proud of our football culture. This is non-league in a shite town (no offence) and the atmosphere and attendance is great.
I perfer a stadium like the stuttgarter kickers have. Oldest still in usw Stadium but getting modernised over the years and combinds the old charme with a more modern one. Ok and i Live new but eco and modern staduims like SC Freiburg too. Depends on teh league they play at ore wich team plays.
As a lincoln fan, I have to say York Street was the better of the two grounds. When we were both In league Two Derby days were epic.

he thinks the fella who got red is an idiot but he prolly got paid niceee for this
As a Boston United supporter I am glad that my club was featured in a TH-cam video

Old ground looks so nostalgic, the new ground has its plus points but the old ground just holds it tradition & feels more like home.

That old stadium has so much character
And in a state of Disrepair.
Well if you want to watch football in Boston in an old stadium. You can watch Liverpool when they play in Fenway Park in Massachusetts!
Love the old stadium but do enjoy visiting the new. Leeds fan but live near by to Boston. Great video

Thats got to be one of the worst floodlights 😂
As someone from Boston it was amazing to see our club mentioned.
so true
Great video mate
Certainly wouldn't call that, 'THE Most modern stadium in non league', Being a York fan, I'm biased but ours is bigger and opened later.
i heard york men have also bigger dix then bostonians?
OMG that's my local team. Great fanbase and atmosphere. UP THE PILGRIMS
The new ground is lovely, though. Same with us at Cambridge City when we (eventually) move into our new ground in Sawston.
I have to say AFC Fylde have a more modern ground not only do they have 4 stands but they also have a hotel. You should definitely go and watch them
I am a huge Boston fan i was not there on Saturday and i am gutted that i did not see you. The 4th stand is going to be a away fan seating section which should be built soon. Love your videos.
Ty for visiting this 😊🟡⚫️
As a Boston united supporter I do like the new stadium more
I'm a Halifax Town supporter who lives near Boston(Heckington)The worst thing about York Street away end....the bird shit 🤣 but at least it's only 5 minutes walk from Town centre,The new ground is a bit of a trek 😥
Great video mate. I’ve got so many great memories of York street but it was falling apart. I was stood about 5 yards to your left yesterday 😂
Up the Pilgrims 💛🖤
Great video 😊
One of the floodlights broke in half due to high winds, think they have just repaired it like that for now until they build that stand.
As a Rochdale fan the facility was good and was a brilliant day out
Great video
Lived near Boston for over 20 years. Don’t recognise the place anymore. The old home had become a worn out dump.
Josh, please go to York City, it’s a great stadium and the team has really improved ❤
As a Gateshead fan, I’d love a new stadium to be built rather than the current Gateshead international stadium. A stadium like this would be perfect for my club especially if we get promoted to league 2 😁
Great video josh
Josh can you go in the Sheffield united home end that would be a class vid
Pls go to Scarborough Athletic we have a stadium called the flamingo land stadium for god sakes
Edit: Boston got some good fans I hope they do well in the National league, maybe if this is the year Scarborough away 25/26
Not about football but just seeing the name flamingo land brings back memories 🥲
I played as Boston in FIFA 04 and Scarborough in fm 20 so they both have a place in my heart
Boston is my team absolutely amazing!
Good to see the grass is still being cut at York street
Love these non league videos Josh

It's all about the Town End in York Street 👍🏻 👏 👏
As a Boston fan the new ground has killed it for me. Massive downgrade. Breaks my heart club leaving character full old school stadiums for the new ‘off the shelf’ grounds.
Old grounds should be listed buildings
I went to the 1st game in Scunthorpe's new stadium, it hasn't aged well and neither will Boston's soulless burger stadium.
I’m a Boston fan up the pilgrims I prefer the new ground bc it’s nicer and it has more things about the club in it
Another great video mate but I've got to say... we need those Lazio vlogs back !
Oh they're back very soon 😅 - Legend for bringing this up :)
@@fusionjosh Can’t wait mate 😀
My husband loves the new ground but I think York street will always be fondly known as home. X

We are quite a self-deprecating nation but we can be proud of our football culture. This is non-league in a shite town (no offence) and the atmosphere and attendance is great.
