Always wondered about this movie. The trailer looked interesting for something I had never heard of. But when friends who saw said it was a dud, I skipped. Thanks for giving clarity on this film...always wondered how a Peter Jackson moderated film could flop that badly.
Solo: A Star Wars Story grossed $213.8 million in the United States and Canada, and $179.4 million in other territories, for a total worldwide gross of $393.2 million. With an estimated production budget of $275 million, it was reported that the film needed to gross at least $500 million worldwide to break even. You know jack shit bro. Be quiet and sit aside. 😂
I recall showing the initial concept trailer to friends, and all being excited. The finished movie looked nothing like it. I thought we were going to see a fun historical allegory with Rome devouring the Gauls, but illustrated with novel sci-fi elements. Shame.
Thr reason Solo flopping due to the backlash and the divisiveness of The Last Jedi. TLJ was the last Star Wars movie that me, my family and friends ever gather together to watch in the big screen. The treatment of Luke Skywalker and how out of character he was (as my sister said Mark is just playing himself) was the huge turn off for all of us. On top of that you have jokes thats straigjt out of a Marvel movie. Nothing gels in that movie. When Solo came out, we never even bother to go see it. Star Wars was dead until The Mandalorian revived it for a while. Rise of Skywalker made even less money than TLJ. This shows most Star Wars fans has tuned out. Mortal Engines on the other hand felt like you're watching the last movie of a trilogy that never existed. It's like reading Return of the King first and skip the first two LOTR books.
I don’t care what anyone says, Solo was a great movie
I never say anything bad about movies.
I enjoyed it also far better than ep 7,8 & 9 too at least it tried something different 😊
The main concept of this movie makes no damn sense and the main characters are insufferable.
Solo wasn’t a bomb and was still an entertaining Starwars film. I refuse to be gaslighted about this.
I always talk about financial failures and not trashing the films. There are a lot of good films that failed at box office. Solo failed at box office.
Pretty cool high concept tho...had a pretty solid score

Solo did not bomb. It definitely did not meet expectations. Not even close. But no where near a bomb

I can make video about it.

Shame.
Oh yeah, this movie happened.

The concept of this movie is stupid.
