Well done Dad! Did it with my daughter last week. Went up the cool chute with scree and wild flowers all the way to the left side. Had a blast. She was a little spooked at the last move to the top. I guess you’d call it a class 3 move.
The way we did it (we were dropped off at Hurricane Ridge and then had our car parked at the bottom of the switchback trail) It ends up being about 6 and a quarter miles and 1250' of gain. It's all pretty darn easy except the last scramble up to the top. www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/mount-angeles

Did you folks have to rope up for the descent at all? Or was it pretty straightforward?
Roping up is not at all necessary, but we did because Ryan was still pretty little and it helped him feel more comfortable.
