I just picked up a used/second-hand Rebel Xti (in Canada) with the kit lens 18-55mm, and paid only $50 CAD/Canadian! But I also got a Canon 50mm 1:1.8 prime lens ii for only $60 CAD but as you said, this camera takes great pictures! As for the 10 megapixels, that is more than enough when printing 4x6 to 11x12 picture sizes which will still have great resolution and sharpness (assuming you take good photos) in my opinion. So, I am getting MORE than my money's worth for this setup, strongly recommend it, especially for beginners! Great tutorial and review of this camera "My Photo Journey" and keep up the good work! Oh, and by the way, my main camera is the Canon R8, which I also highly recommend!
Wow that is a good deal, especially as I think Camera gear has gone up in proce recently with everything else. Thanks a lot for watching and your nice comment!!
Hi, thanks for watching and your question. I'll be honest I'm not familiar with tilt-shift lenses and having looked at the cost of them, they are quite expensive and I'm certain they have one that fits this camera.
My girlfriend had a cannon power shot S5 and i started to take photos of anything i learn that i enjoyed it. Just for fun and about a month ago an old lady gave me this camera and book digital field guide for helping her move some furniture around. Some thing i can agree with you is, not having the side screen to look at and just have to use it with your eye. That is plus side i found on the power shot camera. I just hated the eye view was digital. Which is why i found myself loving the rebel XTI 400D. I got one question? What accessories would you recommend.
That's amazing, so cool to be rewarded with a camera. The main thing worth buying is a tripod, if you don't have one, and then a circular polarizer too and when you get good ND filters. Thanks for watching 👍👍
I have a Canon SL2 and Canon M6 mark II. Now that Canon has gone to the RF cameras that cost more than my car, I am thinking about that Olympus from your other video.
Well that was good news 'cause I just got one for £60 with case, no charger though but I've found I can charge via the USB. Only 32gb was a drag. So I'll get a couple spares and an external HDD and tablet, to keep the pictures as I'm going to be doing a lot.
That is awesome, £60, great. Mine didn't have a charger and I bought a super cheap one online. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get super shots - thanks for watching 👍
That's cool that you still have the camera, and sadly I don't have a MacBook and I'm not sure how they work. I guess someone would have posted how to do it online 👍
Thanks for your response. 👍 I’ll figure it out somehow. I still do love that camera and took many great photos with it. I was considering a new one, but don’t have a lot of money to waste. The building quality of the 400D also seems a lot better than today’s cameras within the same price range. Thanks for your video, btw. It made me realize I bought a pretty good camera back in 2007. I hope I can make it compatible with my new MacBook one way or the other and will keep searching.
if i remember correctly the channel LFM (@Meriem1027) has one video (their oldest) that showcases this? ive been in a camera rabbithole over the last 24hrs and that might be a solution for you!:)
Great. I just purchased a refurbished Canon 55-250mm STM lens. I think this will be enough between this and the kit lens of 18-55mm Learned a lot from your tutorials. 😊
Thanks for watching, and remember the most important thing is not to compare your photos with others, and many of the photos you see have been edited a lot. Also it takes a lot of photos to start getting good. Good luck 👍
my 400d is still serving like a king
I bet it is, I really like mine. Thanks for watching and for your comment 👍👍
Mine too!
It was my first DSLR (2nd camera purchases after a compact). Sold it but bought another since they can be found very cheap. My favorite toy
That's cool, I really enjoy using this camera, thanks for watching 👍

After many years of using Olympus SP-590 UZ I just bought (cheaply, very cheaply!) such Canon.
And now I'm learning a whole new world :)
Fantastic, and I'm sure you will learn so much from your canon. Thanks a lot for watching 👍
I remember when my dad bought this camera when I was little. Nowadays it's the one that I use :)
That's great, I use it too. Thanks a lot for watching and for taking your time to comment 👍
Thanks for the video, hi from Colombia.
Hola, gracias por su mensaje y ver lo. 👍
5:34 The 5D Classic’s timer becomes a 2-second timer if you lock up the mirror. See if this one does the same.
Thanks a lot for watching and for your question. I have checked a few times and it definitely only has a 10-second timer. Cheers 👍
Hi there! Could you share your views on which lens to use to achieve the tilt-shift/ miniature effect using this camera?

Thanks for watching and for your comment. You do have nice cameras, and I have noticed recently how much more expensive camera gear is. 👍👍

Does this camera record videos or is it applicable to record vlogging videos and so fourth
Sadly it cannot take video and only does stills. Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment 👍
I still have this camera, just haven’t figured out how to transfer my photos to my MacBook M2, yet. Does anyone have any tips? 😢

Could you give a small tuitoral on how to record videos from this camera
Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment. Sadly the Canon 400d isn't able to shoot video, it doesn't have a video mode, sorry! 👍
@@MyPhotoJourney Oh.. my bad
@@praneeth1113 No worries.
What mode did you take your photos ?
Thanks a lot for watching, I most likely would have been in Manual, because I always use manual, 👍

Learned a lot from your tutorials. 😊
If you enable mirror lockup in Custom Functions menu, the 10 secong timer becomes a two second timer😁
Thanks
I feel my pictures don’t seen good like taked by others… I think is psycological sentiment.
