Where im from, not paying for overtime is not legal, and it will cost more not to pay for overtime than to pay for overtime.

That's why I get everything in writing beforehand. These bosses today have little to no integrity

It’s very true. Don’t let them fear you into giving them free work.

You put in hrs from home and they expect you to work for free!!! Um Noooooo! That is called gaslighting. She deserves that pay. Corporations don't see as a person. I wouldn't even answer my phone when im off work.

No, that's called taking advantage of. Gaslighting is literally a form of psychological abuse or manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind to convince the victim that they are the one at fault for something that they aren't.

Corporations? Maybe not. Smaller companies? Don’t do this lmao.
My dad spent 10 years working hard for a small mortgage company and yeah he’s made it😂

Hey Veronica there are lots of people who would like to have your job who would be glad to put those extra two hours in so I think the next question will be where are you going to work after you get fired here

Wow, like how do you know she is not someone highly trained and hard to replace? and no its not easy to get someone who knows the ins and outs of the job and is up to speed on what needs to be done, any projects she might be working on, any contacts she might have for vendors and other companies you need to work with?

clearly you dont own a business, some people are just worth keeping.

@sleu752343 why would you be looking for new employment? Doesn't your current employer value you and all the free work you do for them?

Regardless of whether it's right or wrong, or how the commenters feel, Veronica would be fired. Reality sucks some times and your feelings on the matter are moot.

True. Most likely, the management would just find a way or something to get rid of Veronica. There.are some worth keeping like others would say but thats only for now. Once they spot someone to replace you, youre nothing to them.
