Love this scen! "Pardon me Miss, May I? " "help yourself" "I'm Cinderella the second" And of course "Most of the time I slap it!" Oh Jack Lemon, you were amazing!
Joe E Brown's face when he sees "Daphne" for the first time, haha! "What kind of a girl do you think I am Mr Fielding?!?" And then slaps his face. This scene is so funny!
Casting for the entire movie is just incredible. And using Joe E. Brown and George Raft (literally playing to type) was genius. I never tire of this movie. It is sensational. And the writing is just out of this world. Fabulous!!!!
And i just love the shot of him from behind, he has a slender neck and looks really good in that hat.. he turns his head a certain way, it's quite graceful!
The comic timing from a pro like Joe E Brown is fun to watch. "Doesn't approve of girls who smoke." Then a pause for the laugh. Honed from years on the stage...
Jack Lemmon was just a such a cute and attractive man he really brought Daphne alive that big beautiful smile cute petite lips the blond hair the personality just everything about Daphne was perfect.
*-* RAUL JULIA AND I WERE INTIMATE FRIENDS AND WE WATCHED THIS ONE NIGHT AND RAUL SAID ONE DAY HE HOPED HE WOULD BE IN A COMEDY HALF AS GOOD AS THIS !!
Growing up I would love watching this movie. And it wasnt until just recently that I knew that marliyn monroe was in it.. I just alwasy thought it was a women that was supposed to look like her
Something's Got To Give, a decade earlier remaining unfinished. 12 years before that the movie star is TV AD broadcasted selling Royal Triton. Around a half minute on the air she fondly refers to her very first car, Cynthia. 1971 when I was 15 going on 16, driver's permit DMV folded paper in my wallet, on my street legal dirt-bike, with Cynthia holding me, her preteens are all gone. Cynthia is being taken to the horse-stall where her teenage fantasy begins, riding her very own horse.
"you must be quite a girl..."
"WANNA BET?" hahaha
I Always join their laughter in that moment, it's so stupid :D
I know this movie was supposed to be a vehicle for Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis, but this is Jack Lemmon's movie. :)
Tony Curtis was simply amazing in this film as well as Marilyn
They were all brilliant. Everyone in the cast. Im
@@lepetitchat123 yes , including that old man who looked like a frog.
Lemmon could do anything: comedy, drama and in-between (the Apartment). We, the viewers, have sure felt his loss since he passed away in 2001.
@Randy White I stand corrected and have adjusted my comment.
No matter how down I am, Jack Lemmon always brings a smile to my face. The world is a better place because he was in it!
Daphne is just perfection. :D
Totally agree. He made the world a funnier place. I adore him in this movie.
This movie is loaded with the energy of a continuous humor!
i could not agree more Daphne was just cutest jack really brought her alive x
“You must be quite a girl.”
“Wanna bet?” And then Lemmon's laugh
This movie is hilarious ❤️ 🤣
"You're barking up the wrong fish" makes me laugh harder than it should. Lemmon's line delivery is amazing.
Honestly, the delivery from these actors make even the worst lines in this funny. That’s how great the direction is!
Brown makes that work though. He's perfect as Osgood Fielding iii.
Nothing will beat „Most of the time I SLAP it“ 😄😄😄
Love this scen!
"Pardon me Miss, May I? " "help yourself"
"I'm Cinderella the second"
And of course
"Most of the time I slap it!"
Oh Jack Lemon, you were amazing!
"I'm Cinderella the second"
One of the best scenes xD
First saw it 60 years ago and it's still the funniest film I've ever seen.
“ I’ve been married seven or eight times “
“ You’re not sure?”
“ Ma-ma is keeping the score “ 😆😆😆
"Frankly she's getting rather annoyed at me."
"Wouldn't wonder."
"Bye, bye Mr. Fielding. This is where I get off!" That line always cracks me up
omg those eyes when he said "most of the time i slap it" lol
That's my mom's favorite line!
This movie is in my top 10 for sure. Joe E Brown and Jack Lemon together were a riot.
Jack is amazing here, but Joe E Brown is hilarious as well.
My favorite movie in the entire world. It's got the best last line ever.
The best sequence of the film. From Cinderella the 2nd to Wanna bet? Jack Lemmon is over the top with this. What a creation he made. Love him always.
This year makes 60 years since this movie's release and it never gets any less funnier.
"Wanna bet" and then "you're barking up the wrong fish" with Jack Lemmon always makes me laugh!
This movie is loaded with such fun stuff! This is pretty clever dialog, and just love how they ran that blood type o gag all through the movie!
Everyone goes on about Tarantino's dialogue, but Billy Wilder, man... Billy Wilder.
Best film ever made.
all the innuendos! bet they had a blast filming it...always one of my favorites, thanks!
Joe E Brown's face when he sees "Daphne" for the first time, haha!
"What kind of a girl do you think I am Mr Fielding?!?" And then slaps his face. This scene is so funny!
I love it.
It won't happen again
I'll say, I'll walk thank you

Casting for the entire movie is just incredible. And using Joe E. Brown and George Raft (literally playing to type) was genius. I never tire of this movie. It is sensational. And the writing is just out of this world. Fabulous!!!!
I just love this movie. I could be so sad or down and it will make me laugh!! Zauweeee! Jack Lemmon was amazing!!
Jack was so good at both comedy and drama...He belongs in the top 5 of all actors.
"Im Cinderella the second " 😂😂😂
Daphne was soooooo cute!
The arrow on the elevator dial... I'm surprised they got away with this movie.
Stacey Stakeley it's a metaphor for his erection. he got hit and didn't get any farther
I am surprised that they can get away with the whole movie in the 1950s lol
I mean, this movie was pretty much the final nail in the hayes code.
@@matthewwelsh294 It was quite risque for the 50s.
What did it mean?
This film never fails to cheer me up
And i just love the shot of him from behind, he has a slender neck and looks really good in that hat.. he turns his head a certain way, it's quite graceful!
What kind of a girl do you think I am MR FIELDING...
HAHAHA PERFECT
This movie is a remake of Fanfaren Der liebe , a great movie on its own and a lot was copied outright...
Love this movie! I think it is a great masterpiece of old good Hollywood and one of the best parts of Monroe!!!
"Most of the time l slap it" l will die🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jack is brilliant here....the best actor ever 👑👑👑👑
Zowie! Got to love Osgood.
Потрясающий актер, и сцена великолепна! Spasibo
Jack Lemmon honestly had fantastic legs.
1:30 probably the greatest reaction shot in film history! Jack Lemmon owned this role!
Joe E Brown.. a national treasure. The world was made a better place because of his kindness and patriotism. 🇺🇸♥️
Reminds me of Bea Arthur
I'm Cinderella the second. 😄

This is a Jack Lemmon movie - just SUPERB
And I'm Cinderella the 2nd 😆
“I’m Osgood Fielding the Third.”
“I’m Cinderella the Second.”
The comic timing from a pro like Joe E Brown is fun to watch. "Doesn't approve of girls who smoke." Then a pause for the laugh. Honed from years on the stage...
I just noticed that Osgood's fedora is on backwards, LOL
This performance and The Apartment….Lemon’s range was astonishing. This is comedy gold.
the best movie ever!
Pretty Daphne
Joe does his trademark grin in this film...and Jack's eyes are threatening.
Love it :D
Daphne’s reaction to “she doesn’t approve of girls who smoke” after the story he just said. 😂

Osgood: You must be quite a girl.
Daphne: Wanna bet? 🤣🤣
BTW, does anyone know the name of the mountain behind the splendid Hotel del Coronado?
Joe's Osgood just can't take Jack's hint to make like a fly and buzz off.
I’ve been married 7 or 8 times. You’re not sure??
Sometimes i like to slap it .....
What are the other blood type "o" references???
Tom in Atlanta
