The bits are called burr bits and mainly used with a die grinder. The ugly welds we always call gorilla welds. Strong and ugly. Have you seen the exhaust manifold from Luke Dale at DieselPumpUK? He just did a TH-cam video on it a couple days ago.
From the exhaust and intake manifolds to their turbo flange they're doing some next level stuff for sure. And that's not to minimize what was done here at all because I thought it was definitely a bang up job!
You know if the 603 and the 606 patterns are the same? I would ve interested in making my own 603 manifold myself. Also would be interested in the file
@@CZSMotorsport dayum, but did you ever talk to a tüv guy? I would build an om606 in a w124 chasis only if it would be tüv-able 😅 i'm concerned about the exhaust gas regulations in germany
I always have a set of links in the video description with helpful tools and engine parts for your build.
Do you still have the file for the manifold flange? would love to se it
Thanks for sharing, subscribed. At my current skill level I feel confident now that I can build a manifold for my 606.

Very nice job

Hello Mate
Thanks for the generous output of info and description.

Minute 6:00 you were measuring 53 mm ?
Good job man
Do you weld with gas? Also do you purge?
Very impressive. So there are no other modification or calibration coming up with the add of a Turbo on that non Turbo engine????
Very good job.....
Hey! can I have the 3d model for the manifold ? tyvm
Hello, what was the cost of making the exhaust manifold for w202 oh 605, such as the movie

@@CZurkyy Im guessing a german shop wont help you much. Try to search for pipe reduction piece or something like that

No.

At one point we were all crappy welders. Just takes practice. Manifold looks very capable.
