    Thanks Kieren. We are in the Higher Level Stewardship scheme so get some funding towards projects like this. So far we have restored 3 ponds under this scheme. There is a small amount of video on here of a digger cleaning out one pond. I will post some more when i get round to it

    I like your plow , it turns the dirt over and breaks it up really well. Take less to work it up with the disc. I have a 4.16's Massey Ferguson bottom plow. It turns the dirt over good. I pull the plow with a 1990 Massey Ferguson 3070 92hp. I enjoy watching your videos

    lovely to see that you make allowance for the wild life, you should make a video on how to build a pond as i wouldnt mind building one on our land really 10 Out of 10 :)

    the funkyfarmer i liked your vid ,liked the dog setting beside the driver enjoing the ride tòo. and also would like to ask about the grass in the field if we should to collect it awy or just leave it in place as no proplem to grow the corn after word. i have a field full of grass which make me wounder what to do with it after plughing it.
    please need your suggestion.

      This grass was sprayed with weedkiller before ploughing so it will die off and rot down

    I've never seen them in the USA. What is the reason for the slotted moldboards over there?

    Where i live we need atleast 200 hp to get a 5 furrow plough to move

    • @thefunkyfarmer

      Heavy soil, clay?

    • @woutvandenbossche6004
      @woutvandenbossche6004 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +AgriC7624 Yeah, we have a 105 hp MF 3085 that could pull a 4-furrow easily. However, there are some part of our country where you would need at least 160 hp to pull a 4-furrow, where there is heavy clay soil.

    Why doesn't he just drive in a circle doing laps toward the centre? Just curious as I'm not a farmer!

    did you build the pond you're self? Down here in hallen (bristol) We have LSDB who i expect you have aswell, and if we need any digging or anything we slip them £20 and they do it.

    I must say Terry ain't realy good at ploughing. He has the plough set wrong, last moldboard is going way too shallow in compartion to first one. Anyway great vid.

      its being ploughed so that we can grow Maize (corn) in it

  • @scania774

    Its not that impressive all ploughs have a turning function now. The wheel stops the plough from digging into the ground too much. The slats mean less horse power is required to pull it.

      +Schelmbock HD if you watch close, you will notice the tires are spinning faster than the tractor is moving forward. He's getting a fair amount of slipage from the field conditions

      @Brooke_RS197 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +William Copp please stop bragging youre not an expert and i dont believe the stuff youre saying.. that tractor is more than suitable for 5 furrows.. in fact it could easily take 7 with the right counterweights on it..

    • @Brooke_RS197
      @Brooke_RS197 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      im talking about youre other comments. and no its not a fact, our contractor uses the same tractors as this and manages 7 furrows on heavy clay loam just fine, im an agriculture student, i dont need to research anything.. tell me how many horsepower do you require per furrow? i already know im just testing you..
