This video was incredibly detailed! I had no idea how much goes into growing and harvesting potatoes. The curing and storage process was especially fascinating - it really shows how much care is involved in ensuring the potatoes stay fresh.
This brings backs a-lot of memories growing up on a farm in Texas, my grandfather owned around 5000 Acres of farmland, where we grew everything from Cotton, Corn, Grain, and Wheat. Every harvest time I would sit in the extra seat and watch the equipment work!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's amazing how educational content can make a big difference in understanding everyday processes. What aspects of the video do you think would be most valuable for kids to learn about? And do you have any ideas on how to incorporate such content into school programs effectively?
The journey of potatoes from seed to finished product is vividly and detailedly described. This video is truly a valuable document for anyone interested in growing and processing agricultural products.
Potatoes, with their humble appearance, hold great value. As a familiar food, they offer a variety of ways to be prepared and enjoyed. Not only do they nourish us, but they also bring communities together around shared meals. Potatoes are a testament to the power of simplicity, showing that the most unassuming things can have a profound impact.
Thank you for sharing and explaining clearly, so I know how to grow and step by step planting potatoes. It also tells the usefulness of technology that is developing in today's era that can make work easier.
As much as I dream of having a huge farm but I swear I never dream of such machines, they are amazing... these are meant for the mafias of the industry, the cartels for sure.
It's fascinating, isn't it? The level of technology used in modern farming is incredible and definitely makes the whole process look almost futuristic. Those machines really do seem like they belong to the giants of the industry! If you had the chance to own a farm, would you be more drawn to using traditional methods or incorporating advanced machinery like these?
@@QProcessHD I would love to have some but this requires a huuuuuuuge land to start with. Personally I am looking at hydroponics farming more than field farming. With this type of a farm you honestly need bodyguards, you are the target from those who hate you already for having such a huge land. But it’s a beautiful thing, food security for the country😍😏.
this video is really interesting and informative, great job! however, i can't help but think that the emphasis on large-scale farming might overshadow the struggles of small farmers. it's a bit concerning how much focus is put on industrial processes rather than supporting local, sustainable practices. what do you all think?
It's interesting to see the potato's journey from being grown in the field to becoming familiar products like chips or snacks! Watching makes us appreciate the efforts of farmers and factories even more. If you have your favorite potato dish, please share it, I'm craving it!
As an ex large scale potato farmer in the UK, they missed out 2 crucial steps in the growing of potatoes. 1) Control of tuber blight disease which can rot away the entire crop as in the Irish Potato Blight Famine, 2) Irrigation: potatoes need large amounts of water to prevent common scab disease and for the highest yields and quality. Otherwise a useful summary of the steps in commercial potato production.
Wow, this video was really informative and I appreciate the effort that went into it! That said, I can't help but feel like the conventional methods shown here might not be the most sustainable option for the long term. I think we should be exploring more eco-friendly practices in farming, even if it takes more time to adopt. What do you all think?
Great video, one correction though, potatoes are not ready to harvest at flowering stage (8 to 12 weeks). Depending on the growing season it is more around 17 to 24 weeks
The process is very different here in Denmark from preparing the soil, planting, harvesting and storing. If you have never had new potatoes you are missing out.
Potato farming and processing involves a detailed journey from planting to packaging. First, quality potato seeds are selected and planted in nutrient-rich soil, where they are carefully irrigated and monitored. Once matured, the potatoes are harvested using machinery, sorted, and transported to processing facilities. At the facility, potatoes are cleaned, peeled, and processed into various products like fries, chips, and flakes. Quality control ensures consistency, and packaging extends freshness. Finally, they’re distributed to markets and restaurants, completing the journey from farm to table. This cycle supports a huge industry, meeting the high demand for potato-based foods worldwide.
They gotta be cloning patatoes . Grows best in cooler climates but u can get chips , French fries etc all year round . I think there farming them like fish that’s just my opinion

Funny the spraying part. Why didn't use footage from ur own country? I would have like to see what kind of sprayers they use over there
I used what I could find, youtube is a huge source of footage, but it's not infinite and does not have footage from every country
