    Your video is the best I’ve seen since TH-cam came out. In the mid 70,s I spent three years in Olongapo, PI training twice a day six days a week with Ross Dizon in Arnis de Mano. Your basic strikes, thrusts , hand and foot positions are exactly what we use and you do it very well IMHO. Closing your hand while holding your bastón is something that most westerners don’t do. Kudos to you. Also very few people seem to call the short 18” stick a tanbo or doubles being the Nitanbo. Good Form Sir.

    In Karate we taught the students all of the body targets. And what weapon to use, foot, hand, elbow, knee.
    You should teach a class of the target areas and what strikes to use. That would put your training of strikes to body targets. So when your out in the streets you know what to aim for and what technique to use.

    I decided to switch it up from the bo and try this. I have three foot dowels from Home Depot. My arms are definitely feeling it. I already am getting blisters. Is that normal? I think I should get shorter sticks so I may look up those palm sticks you had mentioned.

    • @xazoart1689

      The rattan escrima are much lighter-it might help lengthen your training time (you won't fatigue as quickly) and will most certainly help with the blisters.

    Great video. Thank you.
    Just a comment about heaven.
    Most Christians don’t realize this even though it comes from the Bible.
    And it is a universal truth in fact.
    Bible says there are 3 heavens.
    The one you see during the day ie the sky.
    The one you see at night. Beyond the sky. Planets and stars etc.
    The 3rd being the Spiritual Realm. “Above” and beyond the stars.
    Just like stick fighting it’s all about the details!
    Great workout. I’m gonna use it!

      I disagree 100%. Make every move 10.000 times with each hand, and then you will see some progress. After 100.000 times you will be even better. Eventually after some years you gonna master it. There is no easy way, only the hard way. You can find tips and knowledge on internet, but it's all about muscle memory. When you struggle on a move just listen again and again what he says or capture yourself and see the video to find any mistakes on your technique.

  • @robertrodriguez4858
    @robertrodriguez4858 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Me again.
    Will you hurt yourself if you don't warm up. Yea in training you do warm up.
    But in real life you just go for it and defend. Remember "this not tournament, it's for real". In other word you don't tell your thug wait until I'm warmed up.
    Just fight.

    • @pasquinilli
      @pasquinilli  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point. But you warm up when you train so you can grow stronger and faster for when you need it. The warmup keeps you safe from injury when you train.
