This HP 15-r014tx Notebook is very complicated model from HP and directly the RAM couldn't be opened up and the whole laptop has to be dissembled, so here is an effort to make things clear on how to open this Notebook.
Hi.. I have HP 15-r006TU , I want to add another ram of 8 Gb. Now my questions are 1)can we just detchach the bottom pannel without opening the keyboard to upgrade the ram? 2)And secondly I want to purhase crucial DDR3 8 Gb with 1600 mhz frequency, will that work with the pre-installed 800 Mhz ram? If not please suggest any branded ram of your choice.. Thanks

Using you ATM card is a bad option as it will damage your card, but till now am unable to find an alternate way instead of using the card, if u have a spare card which is out of use then it's perfectly fine. Else we should think for alternate option that doesn't scratch our laptops's body
Try a variety of plastic guitar picks/plectrums if you don't have the correct tool. Cheap enough to buy if you can find a music/guitar shop and vary in thickness and hardness.
If that doesn't work try to remove your adapter and battery and any other usb device from your laptop and then press power button for 15 seconds it will surely make windows to recognize drivers and make sure keyboard and mouse and other flex cable are attached properly try reinstalling them and then follow this procedure i am sure it will work

to install second additional ram, any brand ram is ok or we need to use only hp brand. please specify some company(medium cost of 4gb)ram which are compatiable with hp15r006tx
RAM is not about brand, it's about compatibility of system. like DDR3 DDR4 also we havr to check base clock frequency of it. Install CPU Z software on your laptop... check existing RAM specifications and then purchase a new one!
What will be the procedure if i have to instal a SSD? Can i remove the hdd and install ssd in the same place or this motherboard have nvme slot? Please help
Brother i have same Laptop 15r 001ne model....and the problem is that when i turn on my laptop after few minute it automatically shut down and i try to turn on it back ....it won't turn on and only F12 button yellow light blink......after 2-3 hour it turn on....but the condition remain same.....so can u tell me what is the problem in my laptop......I showed to technician...they repaired it once....but after 1 month again the problem remained same...so plz help me out of ths...
Sushil Joshi hey, I had the same problem...so I replaced the thermal compound between fan and processor. It happens due to excessive heating but the thermal compound makes the gap negligible so that heat tramsfer can happen with ease.
VaM Works Brother i show to technician they said....your motherboard is damaged and they said i need to change motherboard .....So can you tell me the model no of motherboard...does vary part no matter....And can u tell me which model no motherboard is used in this 15series laptop like....HP 15 g la a996p is suitable for my laptop or not...my Lapy model no is HP r15 001ne.....
first try changing the thermal compound...also known as processor paste, you can buy it in Rs.20. At-least try. Motherboard can be only replaced in authorised service center.
Sanjeev Kumar i dont know the specific size as of now, but it was the screwdriver from the screwdriver set, which comes to open small things like mobile and laptops.
@@VaMWorks @VaM Works No it is not fixed yet, I did windows reinstallation ,removed wire and connected it . Nothing helped ,LED light of camera is working but couldn't capture image,showing nothing.

Then I removed power cable and the battery press and hold power button for few secs (to remove any remaining charge which I learned as part of dell troubleshooting). Now laptop is unable to start even when I plugin the power supply lids at power plug in laptop also not getting on. Not sure what is the issue. Let me know if any one have idea about the issue and how can we fix this, can't go to service center I guess they will ask more than the current cost of my laptop (3 yrs old) as they asked me for almost 7K just to replace keyboard. However this video helped me to get my data on an external HDD so I can continue my work with another laptop. thanks for that.
Vivek Singh If laptop is not booting up, I mean the power is not getting in, then in my opinion it must have power source issue and it should be checked first. In your case battery conmections are to be checked...then only we can further interrogate.
Hi , Thanks for your reply. After few tests I observed that the faulty keyboard was causing this failure. I removed that and it's working now. Anyways thanks for helping :).

CPU-Z and model number of your laptop in Google search will tell the actual number of RAM slots

Remove any wireless keyboard dongle first and then try reinstalling your keyboard i have the same issue today and i fixed it by this

You can place the Ssd in place of your Cd drive too
