- The 1st of hopefully many? A fantastic day out at Rustival. Special thanks to @PeteAndHisBus for the introduction 😊 @HubNut @idriveaclassic @furiousdriving for organising and everyone who said hello! Look out for a bit more footage inside the museum in the next video. If you enjoyed this video please consider subscribing 👍
I too had a mk4 cortina s reg, 2.0 ghia. Loved it. And lots of Granadas . You do right - French cars are awful in my humble opinion. ( Twatgo rather than Twingo in my house )Loads of civic estates round here 🤔Thanks for the walk round.Lots of interesting stuff.
No problem thanks for the comment 👍
Thanks for filming this, broke down on the A34 on my way up to the show and didn't make it unfortunately, so it's great having your video so I can still see the show :)
Ahh nooo! But glad to help! What car did you have?
@@AgathaAndAnything I was coming in my new-to-me Triumph Dolomite. Unfortunately the tyranny of Lucas electrics struck and I lost spark just as I came off the M4 and joined the A34.
@RUNDEN_ ahhh I worked at Lucas 13 years so it’s probably my fault 😂
Great to see you today! Love the video 😂
Legend! Lovely to finally meet you too even briefly 😊
The Prinz is an NSU, had an aircooled four cylinder engine.
Gotcha!
Thanks for taking the trouble over his Rick not able to be there myself .
No problem glad to help 😊
Didn't make it unfortunately Rick, great chilled out video as always...I've never seen so many videos covering 1 event so I've seen it all in various ways 🤣, yours was first off the block...Still got it 👌
If you’re not fast with a car show one it’s pointless unless you’re a big channel, us conference league TH-camrs are always fighting for viewers
Thanks for sharing this, much appreciated it. I'm green with envy, because I would have loved to attend with my Morris Minor, but I live in New Zealand. 😊👍
That’s some commute! Glad you liked thanks for watching 😊
Really enjoy your videos Rick, these and your campervan ones. You pull no punches, you show the cars you like, which is good, alot of the ordinary undog base cars are far rarer, thus more interesting and ones that we can relate to, than the upmarket stuff. Wow though listening to you, and all the cars you've owned, barring in mind your aged, you must have averaged more vehicles per year than I've ever owned in my life, I'm 12 years older and continualy owned a car since I was 17, if you count the CV camper I've owned only owned 13 vehicles in total. Lol
I’ve had over 60 cars, I averaged 3 a year at one point 🤣 cars and women cost me dearly😊
Thanks for the tour Rick, I would have liked to go, but I wouldn't make it round without a seat to sit in ... I wonder if a drive through car show is possible (and whether that would be the show cars driving passed the viewers (boring!) or the viewers driving passed the show cars (bit like a safari park) ... shall I get my coat! :-)
Well at least you got a glimpse from me 😊 take care!
Thanks for filming Rick, much appreciated, wonderful selection of cars & what a great turnout for the 1st Rustival
Agreed a good show that will no doubt grow! Glad you enjoyed
At 23:05 is my almond Rover P6 (Mr. Blue Sky) Thanks for catching a glimpse lol .. (Phil)
Glad to almost give you a bit of footage 🤣
Great selection of cars there, it’s good that the weather stayed dry for you.
A few mk1 Mondeos there, great cars, had an N reg 1.8 Diesel hatchback in silver, it had really good handling.
Looked a good day out mate, thanks for sharing the vid.👍
Cheers, the weather was very pleasant bar the cold wind, I was glad to get home by the end. Lovely to see so many old cars including the Mondeos
Well done with the video. You are the same vintage as me, not sure I'd have seen everything there as i would probably end up chatting to various people along the way. You got the same weather we got here, the wind chill 🥶👍🇮🇪
I’d love to see Ireland one day can I book a dry day? 1968 was a good year 😊
hi rick got most your unsure cars correct. only got 2 wrong lol - the copper fiesta was a mk1, the cavalier was a mk3.
I do say I’m no expert 🤣
if you had looked closer at the hyundai stellar next to the pale blue mk4 tina you may have spotted a rover v8!😉
The mini with the Nissan engine was cool shame I didn’t notice that!
i wait all this time for Charlie the Cavalier to be famous (16:00) and you call her a mark 2!
Good walk round mate
Ahh sorry yeah mk3? I’m not a Vauxhall guy but at least you got a mention 🤣 great day though wasn’t it?
A pretty comprehensive tour, thanks!🙂
Best I could do! I enjoyed looking without the camera too 😊 thanks for watching appreciate it
Nice to see Badger Lodge Garage got there in the tricycle van. DVLA really are useless!
I hope they sort my van soon but yes usual for dvla!
I’m in this , twice! 😂. And my kadjar too
Famous 🤣
Nice bunch of motors. Looks like it was a good day too.
Very enjoyable although cold, a bit early in the year for a show but it stayed dry!
Would have gone to this if I'd known about it, you forget half these cars until you see them again and it reminded me I bought a very low milage 3 yr old Daewoo Lanos for next to nothing from an auction. The car was very boring but brilliant. then Px'd it for a 307. Cheers K.
Great video guys. Thanks for the mention ❤
No worries I’m sure I’ve seen your car before at Statfold?
@@AgathaAndAnything yes been to statfold a few times over the years with it 👍
Really enjoyed this thank you
Thanks for watching and the comment 👍
Thanks. The 68 Bay is mine.😊
Nice! Lovely bus 😊
The Prinz was an NSU
Yeah someone else said, still non the wiser 🤣
nice one rick
Cheers Chris 😊
Great one Rick...gutted couldn't get there but at least I have now seen a good selection of cars, love the "appeals to me" thats the right way, even with that I would have made a video way to long...this was spot on, loved it cheers 😊
Cheers buddy hopefully you’ll get sorted and reliable soon. Agatha took a good 12 months to behave
Mk3 cav
My bad! Not a Vauxhall man….
some interesting cars in there, but far too many modern cars, doesnt look as good as i was expecting.
Yes I skate past the modern…. Festival of the Unexceptional is probably better for no modern but it was a great show if you just looked at what you liked 👍
The show is about people, irrelevant what they bring as I'm sure they love what they've got. Really annoying to hear moaning about what turns up at shows, if you want ancient stuff go to a museum, me personally, I prefer to interact with whoever is up for a chat as we are all car enthusiast's and meeting at shows is a highlight after all the work that we put into keeping our contraptions on the road.
Well said!
@@terryatkinson899 theres no work to put a 15 16 17 19 plate car on the road. Hence 'modern'. Its up to you what you want in a show, but i dont want to see what i saw last monday in morrisons car park, thats my preference and ive voiced it.
@eagle50043 true to a point but this particular show was for anything and everything, I chose to ignore the modern but it didn’t stop my enjoyment
It was my 1st Gen Civic :)
Loved that car, one of my faves of the day 👍
Nice to see!
Not seen one in years
@@BobM925 Thank you means a lot, nearly chucked the towel in with it last year
@@AgathaAndAnything Thank you
Great show i was there myself.
It was great wasn’t it?
@AgathaAndAnything yes it was, would of be good meeting you as well.
@@stuartball9507I was walking round loads! You all have the advantage on me….
Never pay to enter a car show it’s lining pockets !!
Things cost money to organise surely? It’s only the same as going to a concert for example?
So glad I went to b & q instead
Did you get a new mower or just paint?
