There is something magical about Jim's delivery. Brian has moments, but Jim can make the most random throw away comment or line into the funniest shit ever. I still randomly bust out laughing from the episode where Jim was quoting a warning from Dusty, "Do not do shit you do not know how to do. DO-NOT-DO-SHIT ... YOU-DO-NOT-KNOW ... HOW-TO-DO!" Just the delivery, with Dusty's accent+lisp, it still haunts me and triggers random laughter, especially when I see people doing shit, they do not know how to do.

Over like fuck everywhere he went, WWF, WCW and ECW. Main events WM against the two biggest names in WM lore in Hogan and Undertaker, and won two World titles in the main company off the two best generational in ring workers in Bret and HBK. That resume alone puts him above a lot of people. Regardless of how good or wasn't. Plus so intense.

If you compare him to the Ultimate Warrior, Warrior is getting way more recognition by WWE and fans. And i'd say their talent was similar. I suppose it doesn't help that Sid was never in a company when they were redhot. During the Hulkamania era and JCP era he was just getting started in the business and not in any of the big two. Once he made it to the big leagues both had cooled off. Then when WCW got hot in 1996 he was in WWF and once WWF got hot, late 97 early 98 he had already left. And when he returned to WCW in 1999 that promotion had cooled off again.

Everything Jim just said is exactly why Sid IS one of the all time greats and unfulfilled potential. If he cared about the business just a little bit more, lord knows how big he could have been.

  • @royalzak2670

Jim is so unbelievably bias at times. Arn Anderson instigated the fight from start to finish. He assaulted Sid first and he initiated the subsequent stabbing match by getting scissors involved.

Sid went to his room looking for a fight instead of staying in his stupid room after been owned by Arn on a discussion. Not to mention that Sid was carrying a weapon himself as well.

Sid was one of my favorite big guys. I was so happy when he came to WWF in 91 but he didn't stay very long. Was happy when he finally won the title at survivor series. Thought it was well deserved. Always liked his intense promos. Ring work wasn't the best ever but was still decent.

Far more people and fans know Sid rather than a Robert Gibson or Ricky Morton.
For that fact alone he should be in the sham WWF HOF.
He probably banged Stephanie too I would assume.

I can see though why the fans would see him as an all-time great even with all those shortcomings - he was pushed as one. He was never an opening match guy, he was always near the top of the card and stayed there even when he bounced back and forth between WWF and WCW. And the fans connected with him for whatever reason so he may not have been great in the ring but I can see why fans would say he is an all-time great.

Sid knew how to stay in an territory as long as he was on top and then leave so he was always an attraction and over wherever he was. He would have been exposed for his limited in ring ability if he didn't go away.
