Kyle Milford When you get used to the game you can get to maps in about 6 hours. Don't worry if you have to remake your character one or two times since your accumulated wealth makes it go exponentially faster. Also, even if you don't plan on speed running, watching speed runners will give you some good tips on how smoothly go through the game and what maps to run for more mob density.
Kyle Milford dude without sounding rude you must be literally doing everything wrong. It shouldn’t take you more than a few days and that’s if your running around with a white wand and a 3linked skill. Maybe look at some in depth beginner build guides and work on that first, or go to global 820 see if someone will level with you maybe?
For me I had 3 methods of creating currency once I have at least 40C: breach farming using red maps, crafting using fossils or essence, and delving deeper, all while doing gem levelling, and keeping my prophecies always full. There’s also syndicate safehouse farming using Ossuary, but I got bored doing it, since it’s repetitive, it’s worth it though, once you get Jorgin, Cameria, Rin in Intervention and they are all captain, then raid it for 3 expensive scarabs.
last patch they made an update on currency farming. The method is now: - 1) alch and go until bored/dead/ultra lucky. If you are a cool kid you sextant your maps and corrupt them. - 2) if you drop/beastcraft/div card/rmt a headhunter go to 1 - 3) if a new league starts, speedrun a trickster then go to 1 On a more serious note, it hard justifying playing without sextants. Honestly if you can't afford awakened sextants, it can be better playing lower tier maps with sextants.
PSA for new players. Depending on the tier of content you are doing, ex shard recipe can either be your best friend or a way to lose out on tons of currency, at least in a trade league. ilvl on the item matters. high ilvl rings and amulets often sell for 20-80c in SC trade leagues just because they can roll specific mods. ALWAYS know the ilvl that you should and shouldn't vendor for ex shards. This depends on the league and the mechanics, but it is generally 77, 81, 84 or 86, though 84 and 86 are from tier:16 maps (Or +level chests) and from shaper/elder respectively.
4:11 don't forget about the 6% to Quality of Socketed Support Gems you can get by buying a weapon from Haku! That means that you can level support gems much quicker. I'd go for empower or enlighten
Should have included id and unid chaos recipe. its easy to pick up some bad tier rare items when you're done with the map and still have inventory space. and if you dont have enough jewellery, delve has nodes you can target while getting some fossils. it's passive income once you get the hang of it.
Ventor's Gamble can be worth a lot with the right rolls, but if you get one with negative rolls it will be worthless. Oh, and if the quantity roll isn't high enough, even if it has all other good rolls, you will only get a few chaos for it.
@@robertglade5799 cheapest ventos currently is 17c so selling a ventors for loreweave isn't a good idea right now (except you're ssf) Also Ventors is one of the best targets for divines...Extrem high potential of gain money (not high chance)
Quick correction: Skill gems gain exp before the application of level penalties. Monster level doesn't really matter as long as you are killing things quickly enough.
@AA Sharp "Socketed gems gain 10% of the experience your character earns, calculated *before* any level penalties." Directly from the wiki. I think Ziggy or pohx actually documented their extensive testing. It's actually more efficient to run low level content while leveling gems depending on your character's ability to clear mobs quickly. If you can't speed clear a t16, you'll actually get better gem exp from running t10 maps where you can speed clear. Considering the fact that people use gem leveling as a source of side income, most of them are not likely to be able to speed clear t16s.
thank you! i'm really new to the game (haven't finished the campaign yet, have no experience with "maps" yet) and this vid can really help me to know how to earn currencies! just maybe later xD
Single biggest hint for all new players and currency -> Check all shops every often for RGB 3+links and pick up RGB links on ground. They each sell for 1 Chroma and as of 3 days ago 9 chroma = 1 chaos on poetrade for the public market. You can quickly farm up 10 chaos worth in a night to trade in for immediate gear and gem upgrades
The Vinktar Square map always cost like 50c every league, but you just can buy the 4 Agnerod for 1 or 2c each and you have the same map with less than 8c.
I am a recent new player. I did try a few of these. The exalted shard one is really hard to do when you need the rings and amulets. I mostly do the chaos recipe which is easy with a quad tab which you left out. And the gem leveling is ok once you can do t10 maps and up. But man once i started doing low level fossil farming omg!!! I have already capped out my currency with 5k chaos and turned fusings into about 18 exalts and all of this in less than a week. Roughly took me about 4-5 days just low level fossil farming. Delve is the best and easiest way to make currency in the game. Should have included it
@@dbrowdy i believe ziggyd has made a video explaining how fossil farm works on delve league. Its not diferent from betrayal, actaully is better now cause u can get more fossils per node.
I think I heard someone in global that some people aren’t even playing...that’s because they had a lot of currency, they craft, they sell and craft for more if they can profit from it. I crafted an stygian vise yesterday that costs around 1-2 ex in trade.
Best paying work is the work no one else is willing to do... Because if you're the only one doing the work, you decide the rates. ... Basically: Do what you'd do in real life. ;) (Or scam people, that seems to be popular in real life too, lmao.)
i'm a bit disappointed that delving isnt mentioned at all. considering how easy it is to just do some low delves and grab some fossils for decent gains. not saying it's something to do all day, since you kinda need the sulphite, but lots of people propably dont delve as much as they should. its rather consistent income and doesnt require buying tons of stuff from others to do it (altho having an extra char thats tailored for delving does help ofc)
people seem to think running the most profitable "map" or whatever is the best way, it really isn't if you arent having fun you wont be doing it for a long time or even as efficiently as you would when you are having fun
Thanks for the tips, didn't know about the exalted one, felt so noob :) About the unique's tip, well, you do lose time doing the prophecy and collecting stuff, so have to keep that in mind. My favorite tip you gave though, was mapping, so truth, just play the game and currency will come. Just one question, with the upcoming 3.9, is there any info on the renew exalted recipe or we can still get shaper/elder items? (or will we use the new bosses influenced stuff) Thanks.
When I start league, all I do while going through acts, till 8 or 9 act, I do chromatic recipes, so when you start your mapping, I have a lot chroms to sell for chaoses
Even rings if they get lvl 75 elder they sell for a decent amount and you can roll yourself and just get the curse on hit and sell it before even regaling it.
Leveling a gem twice is generally a terrible way to do it if you aren't gambling on corrupting. Most 20% Quality level 20 gems don't go for 2x the price of 0% level 20s, so you make more just selling two 0% quality in the same time period. And if a 20% gem is going for more than double it's usually cheaper to just use 19 more GCP to take it to 20% and do two like this in the same time period. Also you say to go to Act 6 or 10 to buy gems... but if you buy them from the original vendor you can usually buy them pre-leveled to 11-12ish already cutting down on time.
Important info about trading: (close to) perfect uniques are worth a fair bit! Even if the unique is worth 1 alc on average, if its something a build uses, people will go buy perfect ones for 20-30c or more. (for weapons dps rolls are most important, for armor usually life or whatever special the unique provides you with that can't be normally aquired in that slot) (Enable advanced item descriptions in UI options to easily check whats max roll). So if you happen to find a good rolled unique, do bother pricechecking it before you throw it at the vendor. Over time you'll learn which uniques are worth picking up, and which aren't.
...You can sell a max level gem with a gemcutter to max it's quality? My three hundred hours of PoE and not once did I seem to come across this vital information. Think I might need to exile myself now.
What level character do you need to start with one of these? I've never traded and just played like it was diablo 2 single player basically. I usually get bored and quit before I get to 60.
That's a good question! Technically, you can do any of these (except mapping, of course) at any level, but you will have maximum flexibility as to what uniques you can target as well as more efficiency for leveling gems if you are at least level 70ish+.
6:50 nice example "you probably seen streamer like zizaran with 30 Quad tabs and 40 Premium tabs" and have you heard his slogan "try to offer more things like I do"
A tip that you forgot, fliping. Some people are wiling to pay up to 5c just for not searching for a trade, check some Scarabs on currency.poe.trade, people are selling for 4c, but others are buying for 9c, so by buying it and reseling you make profit without risk and very fast.
Chaos recipe rules. Exalt shard recipe is a waste of time cause the trading system to gather the ingredients is ridiculously clunky. Faithing uniques is a good idea since some of them can be completed in the storyline but the market can make this endeavour barely break even. Leveling gems is a total must but some support gems can only be carried from level 31 or 38.
You should have spent a bit of time talking about public stashes and poe.trade. Paying real money to make a public stash is not cheap, so inventory slots are "expensive". This favors maps, rings... rather than 2-handed axes.
2 same support gems ??? can you set 2 of the same support gems into a liked soket with an aktive skill? for example: cast zombie (aktive gem) ---> 2x creature damage +30% (support gems). Does that mean the zombies have now 60% more damage?
Was hoping for some kind of checklist what to pickup when mapping. Cause all the pros i see playing rarely pickup something.. so how they make money then?
Does the propecy quest work while youre holding the weapon in the secondary slot? I got the quest where i have to wear the sword while killing the bone queen? Im a ranger so my skills dont work with a sword
like 10 mins of time, since lower levels of gems are made in like 1/5 of a dried lake area and even faster in maps? if you want to invest so much time, get the gems in 20% or 23% quality from start at poe.trade. Would be only worth it, if gems would start with level 14+
Yeah, not kidding. He even says he is going to keep this simple for new people to understands and 70% of the stuff in this video is still ancient Greek >.< I wish there were some proper noob resources that don't just yell at you for ruining a character but explain what is good practice, especially with this game being as ludicrously complex as it is
@@ainumahtar Good practice would be to start the game worrying for nothing as just looting items and getting a touch of what enemies awaits, enjoying the story, seeing some enemies, to get "base" knowledge of the game, but if you want to make it complicated try to delve and use any kind of mechanic the game could offer at once, so you know yourself it is far to much and getting depressed or overwhelmed and quit cause it doesn't work like it should,..... easy as that. Maybe check one or 2 builds which look interesting but don't bother for their items, just look for the tree to get a touch of what you would maybe need, since your items are mostly depending on your luck and from looking what the dude's skilling you can guess what kind of weapons or items he would like to use (basic: if he skills two handed weapons, hem ight want to use a two-handed weapon // if he skills staff's he might want to use a staff and so on). if you go directly from the start with the builds most valuable items you will mostly fuck up your char, cause a "Voidforge" with 6L could be nice, but with 1k life at level 85 or Tier 14 maps and without resistances you will not have fun, except you love to getting one shot. The resistances are self-descriptive if you just once played the game and got to act 6+, cause you will feel any % of not capped resistances on your char as a huge more multiplier for the damage of your enemies..... And actually, if you feel fine with your char and someday there comes an enemy which makes you problems or which you cannot pass, I for example would check what kinf of damage it does or how my defences look like and there you can see "evasion", "Armour", "Resistances", etc. in numeric and perccentage values you can pretty easily assume which the problem is. if you own no armour and no evasion + no resistances, you shouldn't wonder and having like 300-500 armour/evasion cannot be much if you don't get a percentage value showed, it doesn't mean you are OP if it doesn't show anything for it, the more if you think of the fact that 1 armor part in early game gives already like 50 evasion..... there are body armors with 2k+ evasion or 5k+ armor and you don't need to know that to assume that you need at least something around 7-9k of one of these to feel something, if you then considering there are flasks which grant 3k armour at once which drop like smarties and which you get offered for completing quests, you could assume further that you may need value's of 10-15k to make it worth it for later encounters and if you then randomly get a mod on a flask which grants 70-100% increased armour/evasion you could assume further,.... if I already have 10-15k armour/evasion and I can boost it for 70-100%, a bigger boss could need at least 35k+ or even more,...... or you just try to make several layers of defences. All of that just from playing the game actually sounds pretty dope to me :D
Wow, most New Players are way more advanced than me. I didn't understand this at all.

Here's Ultimate tip for currency making. TH-camrs will hate me for that! Best you can do is to play the game! Learn mechanics, do not spend your wealth, accumulate it until you know what to to with it. Why would you want to earn money, if you don't know what to do with it!
Mapping is cool and all but Problem is how do we know what to pick up? Every single rare item? Or no rare items and just chao orbs, orb of alchemy, unique items... and What about regular equipment items? Which ones of those do we pick up?
even with an item filter you don't loot everything it shows you, you select what you wanna do and therefore collecting items. DOing anything at once is to much and just hinders you and your game experience. To loot currency is kinda abvious, cause they only need 1 item slot, 6 socket items are worth it cause you get at least 1 chaos out of them if you vendor em for 7 jewellers,..... you could read about "vendor recipe's" at the homepage to know what to loot and to think of what is realistic, but that would mean work for at least once,....
If you mean his attack, he's using 'Infernal Blow' Infernal Blow causes a debuff to all enemies hit to explode when killed dealing a percentage as damage and giving the same debuff to all enemies hit by the explosion which causes the chain reaction. If you're wondering what the big red overwhelming explosions are, that's Herald of Fire with the Automaton Herald Effect from the Microtransactions store. Hope I answered your question :)
Pretty sure you mean the MTX for his herald.... it's a effect you can buy to change the effect of your "spell" to make it look like more fenzy, but it should be the "herald of ash"- spell/aura effect
sadly it seems you need to do pretty high maps to get currency from mapping be worth it did about 2 hours of mapping though low tier which should be what new players do at the beginning and got about 4-5 chaos not really that great unless you got hours each day

- 3) if a new league starts, speedrun a trickster then go to 1
On a more serious note, it hard justifying playing without sextants. Honestly if you can't afford awakened sextants, it can be better playing lower tier maps with sextants.
Really appreciate the practicality of your advice.
Hope to apply these currency strategies 👍
Haku and the other masters except Zana went into the Immortal Syndicate in 3.5 (Betrayal).
Can't buy stuff from them anymore.
400 hours in, every tip still showed me something new
God, the beginner friendly guide word thing was spot on, every beginner friendly guide made no sense to me 2 months ago.
Should have included id and unid chaos recipe. its easy to pick up some bad tier rare items when you're done with the map and still have inventory space. and if you dont have enough jewellery, delve has nodes you can target while getting some fossils. it's passive income once you get the hang of it.
Now hold on, 11:06 someone vendoring a Ventor's Gamble for a Loreweave...
Worst rolls possible and he is just done with it
Admittedly just the first image from google when you search "Loreweave" lol
Ventor's Gamble can be worth a lot with the right rolls, but if you get one with negative rolls it will be worthless. Oh, and if the quantity roll isn't high enough, even if it has all other good rolls, you will only get a few chaos for it.
@@robertglade5799 cheapest ventos currently is 17c
so selling a ventors for loreweave isn't a good idea right now (except you're ssf)
Also Ventors is one of the best targets for divines...Extrem high potential of gain money (not high chance)
@@Xeratas yea bad rolls are vendor worthy definetly. best rolls are multiple multiple exalteds///
whoa i didn't even know about the exalt shard recipe, thanks!
Whats rgb?
@@clownindan red+green+blue. Items with all 3 socket colors sell to a vendor for a chromatic orb each
Alch and go is my way, and low lvl delving for easy money with fossils.
The Vinktar Square map always cost like 50c every league, but you just can buy the 4 Agnerod for 1 or 2c each and you have the same map with less than 8c.
Lol, playing the game is unironically the most appealing one to me
I am a recent new player. Should have included it
Yes I agree, low level fossil farming is crazy currency, I think it could have been a good replacement for the vendor recipe unique one!
@@nathanbrotherbob yeah all in all good video!
Can you recommend any resources on how to do fossil farming?
@@dbrowdy i believe ziggyd has made a video explaining how fossil farm works on delve league. Its not diferent from betrayal, actaully is better now cause u can get more fossils per node.
5000c.??? You don't sleep
I think I heard someone in global that some people aren’t even playing...that’s because they had a lot of currency, they craft, they sell and craft for more if they can profit from it. I crafted an stygian vise yesterday that costs around 1-2 ex in trade.
How to make money? By spending time doing the hard work few cares to do. Yeah, pretty solid advice.
Same as real life.
Best paying work is the work no one else is willing to do... Because if you're the only one doing the work, you decide the rates.
... Basically: Do what you'd do in real life. ;) (Or scam people, that seems to be popular in real life too, lmao.)
wait, so u need to vendor a headhunter for the exalted shard recipe? cool
I have over 1500 hours into the game now, but I hadn't heard about any of these except vendor recipes and even those I haven't done much with yet.
wtf have you been doing then
i'm a bit disappointed that delving isnt mentioned at all. considering how easy it is to just do some low delves and grab some fossils for decent gains. not saying it's something to do all day, since you kinda need the sulphite, but lots of people propably dont delve as much as they should. its rather consistent income and doesnt require buying tons of stuff from others to do it (altho having an extra char thats tailored for delving does help ofc)
Yes, you aren't the first person to comment this, and I actually regret not including low level delving.
top 5 money making tips
1. find map
2. run map
3. sell items found in map
4. run more maps
5. actually playing the game makes u money :^)
people seem to think running the most profitable "map" or whatever is the best way, it really isn't if you arent having fun you wont be doing it for a long time or even as efficiently as you would when you are having fun
Thanks for the tips, didn't know about the exalted one, felt so noob :)
About the unique's tip, well, you do lose time doing the prophecy and collecting stuff, so have to keep that in mind.
My favorite tip you gave though, was mapping, so truth, just play the game and currency will come.
Just one question, with the upcoming 3.9, is there any info on the renew exalted recipe or we can still get shaper/elder items? (or will we use the new bosses influenced stuff)
Thanks.
The best advice is to start off with the most meta chad spell build so you can steamroll the act content.
AKA Arc
Half the words on your 'beginner friendly guide' don't make sense at all - so true!!
Thanks. Downloading poe on ps4 right now
Thanks for this video. Is there a better option now or is it still the same?
When I start league, all I do while going through acts, till 8 or 9 act, I do chromatic recipes, so when you start your mapping, I have a lot chroms to sell for chaoses
Great info, thank you! And the build looks really fun too!
Great video!
and the Michael Bay explosions... Jesus, AUtomaton Herald its the best microtransation. really cool.
FYI: gems do not get an experience penalty on the level of mobs you're fighting like your character does.
Brilliant guide. Thank you so much!!!
nice! i will make 2 exalt shards using my ilvl 86 elder leather belt!
Even rings if they get lvl 75 elder they sell for a decent amount and you can roll yourself and just get the curse on hit and sell it before even regaling it.

Buddy , your videos are amazing. God bless your voice with strength and your skill with speed.
Also you say to go to Act 6 or 10 to buy gems... but if you buy them from the original vendor you can usually buy them pre-leveled to 11-12ish already cutting down on time.
the only one suits my English. Thank you
I just cannot bear watching CuteDog's videos; his reskinned flasks flasks drive me berserk!
Hello, thanks for your video.
About loreweave recepe does it still work in 3.1 Delirium league ? Can the rings be any lvl ?
Thanks for your help 🙂.
Great guide!
i want to know this build do you have any video for this build
i like it that you mentioned global chat xD
I turned that off when Betrayal launched. Been wonderfully peaceful.
Yeah on That 40 Minute video.... i could have been mapping
...You can sell a max level gem with a gemcutter to max it's quality?
My three hundred hours of PoE and not once did I seem to come across this vital information.
Think I might need to exile myself now.
I just found out about this as well. I should have watched this video months ago. So many wasted gemcutters
6:50 nice example
"you probably seen streamer like zizaran with 30 Quad tabs and 40 Premium tabs"
and have you heard his slogan "try to offer more things like I do"
Insta like for that poe summed in a few entrances intro
A tip that you forgot, fliping.
Some people are wiling to pay up to 5c just for not searching for a trade, check some Scarabs on currency.poe.trade, people are selling for 4c, but others are buying for 9c, so by buying it and reseling you make profit without risk and very fast.
That's true. From the right scarabs you can make a quick profit really fast.
And you can just throw your fun ingame completely away if you start to flip, except you are a workaholic and love to work :D
What's elder or shaper influence? I am just at chapter 10 for the first time, have seen what you are talking about but not sure how they work
It isn't a Nathan Walker video without a bit of memery!
I just watch the entire video, i have 400hours on poe and barely knew any of these tips
same
What is this red shining thing? Is it weapon or weapon cosmetic? I just started playing few days ago and its AWESOME
OH NO NO NO HE DOESN'T KNOW
You should have spent a bit of time talking about public stashes and poe.trade. Paying real money to make a public stash is not cheap, so inventory slots are "expensive". This favors maps, rings... rather than 2-handed axes.
SIR HOW MANY CHAOS ORB TO EXCHANGE FOR EXALTED ORB??
2 same support gems ???
can you set 2 of the same support gems into a liked soket with an aktive skill? for example: cast zombie (aktive gem) ---> 2x creature damage +30% (support gems). Does that mean the zombies have now 60% more damage?
Was hoping for some kind of checklist what to pickup when mapping. Cause all the pros i see playing rarely pickup something.. so how they make money then?
Can't believe I didnt know about the loreweave reciepe
i made like 30ex in a day by buying molten strike jewels for 1c, vaaling them and selling the ones with good corruptions for several exalted...
500 chance orbs and 500 scour orbs for a pair of skyforths? Where do i sign?
very helpful thank you
Does the propecy quest work while youre holding the weapon in the secondary slot? I got the quest where i have to wear the sword while killing the bone queen? Im a ranger so my skills dont work with a sword
You can have the item in your inventory.
Thank you for the video.
What do you mean by elder or shaper influence with the full set ?
"Let's say you buy your rings and amulet for 2 chaos a piece"
Yeah good luck with that, more like 10 chaos a piece.
Shaped amulets probably cost about 3c each, but shaped rings are easily 2c tops. You don't need a high ilvl or good base.
Great vid Nathat! Keep it up. Gonna join your doscord also.
Currency, meaning in game currency, or meaning real money used to buy cosmetics ect??
super casual player since 2013. know only chaos recipe and alc-and-go. i probably try the gem tips next seasons lol
ARGH I wish I knew of the shard recipe yesterday. I had a ton of these I would have been mostly there. :\
You sir, earned a sub
been playing for over a year , a bunch of these were news to me :D thx for sharing the knowledge .
I would check if you can buy the gem somewhere else before going to lily as you save time if you can get one already levelled from another vendor
like 10 mins of time, since lower levels of gems are made in like 1/5 of a dried lake area and even faster in maps? if you want to invest so much time, get the gems in 20% or 23% quality from start at poe.trade. Would be only worth it, if gems would start with level 14+
love it thank you! Subed!
I did not even start playing this game, and now I'm so confused that I'll go to sleep xD
Is it possible to track items for the current league in poe.ninja? I only see standard and hardcore options
Mapping is cool and all but Problem is how do we know what to pick up? Every single rare item? Or no rare items and just chao orbs, orb of alchemy, unique items... and What about regular equipment items? Which ones of those do we pick up?
Idk if you already have this but you should get an item filter. Something like www.filterblade.xyz/
even with an item filter you don't loot everything it shows you, you select what you wanna do and therefore collecting items.
Came in looking for get-rich-quick... damn. I knew deep down inside I was hopeless. feelsbad.
What gem are you using that causes all that red effect to enemies?
If you mean his attack, he's using 'Infernal Blow'
Infernal Blow causes a debuff to all enemies hit to explode when killed dealing a percentage
as damage and giving the same debuff to all enemies hit by the explosion which causes the chain reaction.
If you're wondering what the big red overwhelming explosions are,
that's Herald of Fire with the Automaton Herald Effect from the Microtransactions store.
Hope I answered your question :)
Pretty sure you mean the MTX for his herald.... it's a effect you can buy to change the effect of your "spell" to make it look like more fenzy, but it should be the "herald of ash"- spell/aura effect
what item level msut be 60 unique rings ? and the must be unidentified or no

Nope, you are right. You can level up gems on your second weapon set without even using it.

sadly it seems you need to do pretty high maps to get currency from mapping be worth it
did about 2 hours of mapping though low tier which should be what new players do at the beginning
and got about 4-5 chaos
not really that great unless you got hours each day
were you alching the maps?
