@@purple4395 Sadly, this is not the case like we thought it would be. While it does give you a short term payoff (as well as allowing you to complete some challenges), the patch notes were worded kind of weirdly, as it actually does reset the relationships of your syndicate- which REALLY hurts your overall profits if you've already taken the time to properly set it up. Trust me, it happened to me the first week of the league, and it sucks. I'd love to see an in-depth series about skill gems, they are very confusing for new players, and sometimes I struggle to understand what effects different linked support gems bring
Well, it seems like a contradiction, but it isn't one. If you don't map, you aren't doing the end game the wrong way, you are just not doing the end game
@@theMagos Yeah but like.....mapping is the core of the end game. You literally can't just go back to acts and find end game content. In fact, I'm struggling to think of any, truly end game content that you can do without mapping. I really don't consider anything that isn't somehow involved with the map device "end game" except for maaaaaaaaaybe delving. Even that, you kinda need to map.
Awesome video, but I have to add something: you forgot my real endgame for Path of Exile, which is "Hideout Editing", it takes more time and dedication to get the favors and the "feel" of a nice edit. I get to maps and just farm master missions to get favor and the hard job that is to unlock High-tier hideout layouts. I encourage everyone to try and make a nice looking Hideout :), there are lots of inspiring creators and websites to download to get a taste of what a real design looks like.
I like your guide nice!But but this is too much for one game, those who made the game they do not know how to play it.it's not at all attractive to new players with a 200000 skill branch, where you don't know what to do at all ... or spend time looking and reading on the internet it's stupid.and if you find a tutorial then alt + tab nonstop to watch the tutorial.Not fun at all!!!
You dont have to master everything from the beginning. It doesnt take a strong character to complete the main story, so you are free to mess around and explore the game on your way to endgame.
One thing that really keeps me from starting is getting a proper build, loot filter and what to pick up ( because I really don't want to miss good items ). I also want to get into crafting so hard but i understand that it takes alot of time and currency. tips to this? Also how much does one need to spend to get a decent starter stash space? I did play for 60 hours the first time and tried it but never got to much into it
I've tried to play this game 4 times already, because it looks really interesting, but not once have I made it through the story-mode.... I just get bored so quickly, because they throw so much shit at you, that you spend half the time either staying in town reading items / quests / instructions / that goddamn mess of a skilltree or even outside of the game watching videos and reading guides... I think this game has become some kind of frankensteins monster, where the arm doesn't know what the leg wants to do. Say what you want about Diablo 3, it may not be as involved as PoE, and it may be simpler, and maybe even become boring quicker, but at least it is fun to play from the first minute and not "well, it becomes fun after like 30 hours of grinding and farming, that's when the actual game starts" "what do you do then?" ".... more grinding and farming." ... nope, thank you.
There are some games that are full of nonsense boring asf.. till you get endgame to finally enjoy. But this POE is not that kind of games. If you dont like it or do you have a bad time enjoying complex games play candycrush or the likes, for your level of IQ.
One guy just gave me a 6 linked chest with blue/red sockets. just what i needed for my molten strike build. He also gave me rings and jewels. He said the chest was worth at least 3 exalted orbs. I have yet to understand how good the chest is. I have to learn the game to honor his gift lol. sometimes i want to quit because the game is really overwhelming and i dont know where to start in end game
ZekeMagnum the game is really overwhelming for new players, i just started 5days ago and theres a ton of shit to learn. Sometimes i really think its not worth my time anymore.
I started playing 3 weeks ago, i am lvl 79 and finished the story part of the game and now i have not touched it for 5 days because i still havent figured out the gear system and that really throws me off from continuing to play anymore. Havent found any decent gear guides either. I think the system is deliberately too hard to make people waste currency due to ignorance. Or maybe a byproduct of the complexity. Too sad cause i enjoyed the gameplay pace.
I have done all of it, except serious delving. Even (currency fliping.) And everything is worth doing. You don't need a ton of currency to make currency in crafting. But you need to know what you are doing and what to go for. Like Energy shield, shields. I usually start a league making 2 or 3 mid tier shields. Costing 1ex for all 3. And then I sell them for 1-2ex each. Unless I get lucky then it is a lot more. Starting after the first week and then getting 6ex is a nice way to start I would say. Great video.
Although I admit that I prefer mapping as my endgame activity, I've also heard that Delving is equally rewarding, both in terms of XP and loot, as well as in terms of fun for some players. Again, I have only gone a few levels deep on Delve, but my understanding is that, just like maps gain tiers, increase in difficulty, and offer more rewards, Delve does the same thing. So as far as action and endgame activity (I recognize that some of the video was less about actually playing the game, and more about exploiting certain features of the game, like crafting), if you don't want to "boss" or replay the campaign/labyrinth content, you can choose mapping and Delving, as both are both viable strategies for XP and loot (again, as far as I understand from others, who do even more Delving than I do mapping).
Thanks so much for this video. All guide I found were either for total beginners or very in-depth. This is exactly the middleground (introduction into endgame) I was missing.

can i just say i love the concept of alva and always did just the idea of going back in time to shift the way an ancient vaal temple is built before finding it in present day and going about it remembering how you had an impact on how it turned out so many years ago
I just do maps for fun, they are Random Dungeon Generators so I have lots of fun since they were released, I am now sitting on more exalted orbs that I can spend. I really don't mind quest or achievements, just fun

PoE endgame is so frustrating nowadays, it requires lots of free time (which Im personally super low on) to “finish” the character progression, also if you have 10-20sec load-screens and waste like 10 minutes to start - it’s just not worth it. I mean, they should really do something about those technical issues
I came back after around 4 years. I'm doomed. That game has become crazy big and deep. A bit too much for a beginner. But i just play through enemies, collect loot and have fun. Maybe the game explains itself after a while :)
I walked into Pit of the Chimera having never been in there, thought my insta delete bosses spectres would carry me... I didn't know about his smoke cloud phase haha. 3 rips later and I got my dumb fragment. I'm checking what the other guardians do before I go into those fights
PoE is the world's easiest game to learn: 1.) Did I just kill this monster? Oh, it's just a different color of the same monster 😑 2.) How much gold do I need to buy this? Oh what? It's feathers and orbs for currency? 😑 That's all there is to know about the game. I have *NEVER* so bored in my life as when I played PoE. It's less entertaining and more hollow than Nox. 😑
After 2 year playing i still dont understand how To spawn bosses. This is a shame..poor explanation in game make it almost impossible To understand the atlas and what we are supose to do..im buying boss map until they explain it in-game ..shame
by the way only 1% of the population of exile reaches the level i am at, fun equals you will suck more then me :P dont worry sucking and feeling like a loser is fine because your having fun at being a loser. Crafting is math, math is not fun for most people. So instead make friends in poe with people that love math and gambling, but the smart kind of gambling. Because what is paying an extra exalt for someone that is awesome at math. C students rule the world
If it’s not too much to ask, being a bit of a newbie myself, is there a possibility you could make an in-depth guide to maps? It’s such a large part of the endgame and can easily consume days at a time doing just that, without focusing on masters or ulab/fragmented portals. Cheers!

I don't get "endgame" at all. Playing the finished game for a year or more :D I always go through the whole plot and quests with every single hero and thab BYE BYE game xD
I have played this game on and off for probably 8 years now. I have never reached 90% of endgame content. I have never even gotten lucky and scored a high end unique. Its not like this is a skill based game? All the good content is hidden behind a 1000 hour farming firewall. That's lame. I thought diablo 2 was bad, this game is far worse
I only play ssf and I don't understand crafting. It's a delightful combination. If my build can finish a red map without me dying I'm calling that a win for the league lol.
Good info mate :) Just got into endgame and started mapping (well, still trying to find tier 3's xD) Definitly gonna keep doing that for a while before I try any of the others, but good to know that what the options are :D Im running 2h slayer cyclone, any advice as to what NOT to do with such a build? Mapping and delving seemed interesting to me and cyclone seemed a good build for it imo, definitly during delirium league.
I am also interested in mapping and delving. I haven't played since October 2017 though! How has your experience been since you posted your comment? Any tips for beginner build? Or should I wait for the next league? Isn't it pointless for me to play relatively close to the end of a league?
This game is too loot farming/number crunching focused. The casual/Co-op mechanics are severely lacking which would make farming hard maps and bosses much more fun and adventurous. You just mow down shit tons of monsters and sift through crap loot for the odd currency item barely worth the effort needed to click on it most of the time. I like loot farming but that's all this game is about. You just mindlessly farm to find loot to mindlessly farm even more only to eventually have good look that doesn't mean anything. It takes the adventure out of the game and makes the items less cool.
Old gamer here that’s frustrated. This game has so many things to do, which is cool. I’m just not understanding how to use orbs appropriately and crafting?? Where do I craft? Uggh!
This needs to be made more clear to average players. you dont NEED to do everything, in fact, specializing in one kind of content can be much more profitable. If you're really good at killing uber bosses, great, buy invites and farm uber bosses or sell carries. If your build can kill mobs super fast, great, focus on farming maps and sell your uber boss invites. Want to delve? Great, just focus on smashing delves. Trying to do too much just ends up with you not being able to do anything! Pick a build, stick with it, then roll more characters if you MUST do ALL the content. Specialized tools are much better at their job than generalized tools.
Way more straightforward for an endgame BEGINNER than Zizeran's "beginner" guides that only leave you more confused because he uses terms and talks like you've already played the game for 500+ hours. Appreciate you unconfusing me. Lol
Who is Zana? I already finished Kirac's quests and unlock the skill tree but nowhere did I see a Zana NPC. I'm also on the same boat as you. Seeing every other guide and they just start rambling about systems I've never heard of, ESPECIALLY Zizeran with his 2 hour "Beginner" guides that don't make sense to 100% of beginners. Edit: Ok I'm dumb, I need to do higher maps to unlock her. I was just spamming all the tier 1-2 maps I picked up during the campaign.
uber lab is pretty much the only activity I truly dislike in poe. Sure, was cool and exciting to complete 1'st time, but after several leagues I got enough of it. Now there are upgraded offerings and the possibility to enchant belts, but after 2 runs of those I don't think I'll touch uber lab anytime soon. Hope they remove it in poe 2.0
I actually wrote a song about POE's endgame. It went like this... "Grind. Grind. Grind. Fa-Maps! Gri-Gri-Gri-Gri-Grind. Fa-Maps!" It's sorta just keeps repeating after that.
Unfortunately the game became unplayable I have decent internet and now the game just crashes or it lags so hard I can't even tell you when I begin to get hit and I'm dead before it shows I'm losing HP like I accidentally walk into fire and I don't realize I'm standing on it because the game hasn't load it in yet except my HP already 0 by the time I see fire on the ground I'm not sure if it's the servers or I have so many minions that its just unplayable sucks cause was really fun game while it lasted 😟 nothing will compare to u exile rip . 😭
PoE for Dummies: Still too much for me 🤣 🤣 🤣 nah i have only 9h and a lv20 duellist in PoE and started with friends and my brother. But no one likes ARPG as i do and quitted this game :-( Now i plan to start a new character, a pet related build and in need of build, making money, leveling solo faster, etc. tipps. Your videos are very helpful :-)
Are you supposed to replay the story every challenge league? Or do you just ignore the quests and try and get to the act 10 map immediately? I don't see how you're suppose to do this.
maybe this is my elitism talking, but i wouldnt consider mapping to be endgame. it's more of a midgame. it's a stepping stone for delving, syndicates, temple, elder, and sextant/map shaping, which is generally what id consider to be endgame. also, i disagree about running harbinger so infrequently. literally run harbinger on every alch'd map. it's free currency.

Sounds like you just need a better computer. Also "endgame" is called endgame for a reason it requires time and knowledge.

I walked into Pit of the Chimera having never been in there, thought my insta delete bosses spectres would carry me... I didn't know about his smoke cloud phase haha. 3 rips later and I got my dumb fragment. I'm checking what the other guardians do before I go into those fights

PoE is the world's easiest game to learn:
1.) Did I just kill this monster? Oh, it's just a different color of the same monster 😑
2.) How much gold do I need to buy this? Oh what? It's feathers and orbs for currency? 😑
That's all there is to know about the game.

After 2 year playing i still dont understand how To spawn bosses. This is a shame..poor explanation in game make it almost impossible To understand the atlas and what we are supose to do..im buying boss map until they explain it in-game ..shame

Meh ill just pass the storyline. I have no time to learn shit ton of uneccessary stuff like 100 crafting types, missions and whatnot.
Why is it so damn confusing? I enjoyed the campaign but the end game doesn’t look any fun to me.
Jacob Garcia same here, the campaign is fun and enjoyable, but the end game content is just too much of a clusterfuck
by the way only 1% of the population of exile reaches the level i am at, fun equals you will suck more then me :P dont worry sucking and feeling like a loser is fine because your having fun at being a loser. Crafting is math, math is not fun for most people. So instead make friends in poe with people that love math and gambling, but the smart kind of gambling. Because what is paying an extra exalt for someone that is awesome at math. C students rule the world
If it’s not too much to ask, being a bit of a newbie myself, is there a possibility you could make an in-depth guide to maps? It’s such a large part of the endgame and can easily consume days at a time doing just that, without focusing on masters or ulab/fragmented portals. Cheers!

The absolute worst part about bulk buying maps is NO ONE answers your PMs. everyone who isnt charging 15c for even a t5 map doesnt answer. Its BS
I don't get "endgame" at all. Playing the finished game for a year or more :D I always go through the whole plot and quests with every single hero and thab BYE BYE game xD
I have played this game on and off for probably 8 years now. I have never reached 90% of endgame content. I have never even gotten lucky and scored a high end unique.
Its not like this is a skill based game? All the good content is hidden behind a 1000 hour farming firewall. That's lame. I thought diablo 2 was bad, this game is far worse

Mapping and delving seemed interesting to me and cyclone seemed a good build for it imo, definitly during delirium league.
I am also interested in mapping and delving. I haven't played since October 2017 though! How has your experience been since you posted your comment? Any tips for beginner build? Or should I wait for the next league? Isn't it pointless for me to play relatively close to the end of a league?

This game is too loot farming/number crunching focused. The casual/Co-op mechanics are severely lacking which would make farming hard maps and bosses much more fun and adventurous. You just mow down shit tons of monsters and sift through crap loot for the odd currency item barely worth the effort needed to click on it most of the time. I like loot farming but that's all this game is about. You just mindlessly farm to find loot to mindlessly farm even more only to eventually have good look that doesn't mean anything. It takes the adventure out of the game and makes the items less cool.
Old gamer here that’s frustrated. This game has so many things to do, which is cool. I’m just not understanding how to use orbs appropriately and crafting?? Where do I craft? Uggh!

This needs to be made more clear to average players. you dont NEED to do everything, in fact, specializing in one kind of content can be much more profitable. If you're really good at killing uber bosses, great, buy invites and farm uber bosses or sell carries. If your build can kill mobs super fast, great, focus on farming maps and sell your uber boss invites. Want to delve? Great, just focus on smashing delves. Trying to do too much just ends up with you not being able to do anything! Pick a build, stick with it, then roll more characters if you MUST do ALL the content. Specialized tools are much better at their job than generalized tools.
Way more straightforward for an endgame BEGINNER than Zizeran's "beginner" guides that only leave you more confused because he uses terms and talks like you've already played the game for 500+ hours.

Who is Zana? I already finished Kirac's quests and unlock the skill tree but nowhere did I see a Zana NPC.
I'm also on the same boat as you. Seeing every other guide and they just start rambling about systems I've never heard of, ESPECIALLY Zizeran with his 2 hour "Beginner" guides that don't make sense to 100% of beginners.
Edit: Ok I'm dumb, I need to do higher maps to unlock her. I was just spamming all the tier 1-2 maps I picked up during the campaign.
uber lab is pretty much the only activity I truly dislike in poe. Sure, was cool and exciting to complete 1'st time, but after several leagues I got enough of it. Now there are upgraded offerings and the possibility to enchant belts, but after 2 runs of those I don't think I'll touch uber lab anytime soon. Hope they remove it in poe 2.0

I actually wrote a song about POE's endgame. It went like this... "Grind. Grind. Grind. Fa-Maps! Gri-Gri-Gri-Gri-Grind. Fa-Maps!" It's sorta just keeps repeating after that.

Unfortunately the game became unplayable I have decent internet and now the game just crashes or it lags so hard I can't even tell you when I begin to get hit and I'm dead before it shows I'm losing HP like I accidentally walk into fire and I don't realize I'm standing on it because the game hasn't load it in yet except my HP already 0 by the time I see fire on the ground I'm not sure if it's the servers or I have so many minions that its just unplayable sucks cause was really fun game while it lasted 😟 nothing will compare to u exile rip . 😭

maybe this is my elitism talking, but i wouldnt consider mapping to be endgame. it's more of a midgame. it's a stepping stone for delving, syndicates, temple, elder, and sextant/map shaping, which is generally what id consider to be endgame. also, i disagree about running harbinger so infrequently. literally run harbinger on every alch'd map. it's free currency.
Been no lifeing this game like mad recently. Makes diablo 3 look like shit.
