      @teslaandhumanity7383 You can't claim PIP once getting your state pension, but if you are on PIP at the time of starting to get your state Pension you will remain on PIP. Your award automatically switches to "indefinite" too from what I gather!

    The problem is that PIP will be adjusted by Labour so that certain conditions then dont qualify to get access to it. We heard this from Sunak and now sadly it seems Labour will do the same. They will seek to turn a blind eye to certain conditions or remove PIP IF they can find a way to say your fit for work. We have all been lied to and sadly many will suffer even tougher times under Labour until we can remove Starmer and his Tory cronies posing as Labour MP's

    At the end of the day nobody will know better than yourself how you’re complex conditions affect you everyday in regards to daily living and mobility. Just tell the assessors how you’re condition affects you with these 12 activities. Be honest and just tell it like it is on the majority of days, you’re worse days and make sure you have medical evidence and a diary to back it up. The assessors aren’t monsters. Well, at least the ones I had wasn’t. They were patient and kind and listened to my problems. And my last assessor told me she had PTSD herself which made me feel at ease and less on edge like they’re human and less like uncaring people we come to expect. Don’t give up! That’s what I say.

    My son when born his brain was damage during birth, i applied when my son was 5 for DLA no issues, now 29 years the DWP have not made it hard to apply, the 72 pages that I have filled out for 24 years of my sons life these forms are simple to fill out, i have completed 2 for my neighbours who are elderly so i help them with Attendance allowance. Personally, i wouldn't dream of charging to help someone fill ou these forms. You seem to charging an hell of alot, when most of the form filling is common sense. There are many companies like fight back for justice who charge a small fee or the benefits at work website who again charge such an small amount. People do your research on who you want to help you.

      If you've been filling out forms for 24 yrs then of course You find it easy!!
      Charlie is trying to help people that are 1st or 2nd time applicants, plus people who have been turned down for PIP. I'd venture to say She actually has a lot more experience with different conditions which are eligible for a PIP award.
      On the issue of payment, you don't charge 3 people anything, and that's great👍but Charlie is dealing with many more than that on a Daily basis - for her it's a Full-time job, so it's a bit naive to think that she ought to do that for Free!
      On top of that, Charlie also makes these multiple videos and uploads them to TH-cam for Free! No money - she doesn't even Monetise them in any way, but still has to Upload & Update regularly to meet the YT algorithm requirements, otherwise No Channel! - which means; No 'Up To Date' information to Help the majority of people who just Watch Charlie's videos on "How To Get PIP When You Have ..x, y or z !" Or "What You Need To Do When Filling Out The PIP Form " etc
      So All of those are Free to Watch, Use or Help Folks Understand the Very Unhelpful, Badly Worded, Contradictory Interrogation Form that is Every PIP Form, going back to DLA!! (Which was a Time when one's own GP - backed up by a Consultant's Report - was Believed when they reported on your Health Conditions!!
      Since DLA was changed to PIP, the Govts. (Tory & Labour) have basically said they Don't even Trust the Consultants and/or Specialists Reports that one provides and instead farmed Health Assessments out to a Private Company - which btw has had numerous problems complaints and investigations into many of its Services, much more than Any equivalent Govt. Department Ever Did!
      So, on a purely Value For Money basis, I doubt I'm the Only One that thinks Charlie (who has her own serious Health issues don't forget!) is doing a Great Job for Anyone & Everyone who desperately needs Advice And A Calming Voice to help them with the High Stress that comes with trying to fill out the PIP Interrogation Form - especially the 1st Time, or if one is Re-applying!
      So, for me, it's🙏 Thank You Charlie for Everything that you've done/are doing to Help folks on a Daily Basis!
      👍👍👍👏👏👏

  • @robertjordon1984
    @robertjordon1984 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Charlie thank you. I don't think its entirely correct to say you dont need to have any condition to be able to claim PIP, that would mean a non-disabled person could make up some condition and proceed to answer the questions as per some made-up condition.
    You need to have a specific diagnosed condition to be able to validate why you cant move your arm or tie your shoes or bend over and wash yourself etc. For example if you have been diagnosed with scoliosis or arthritus or some similar condition you can then go onto write how these conditions negatively affect daily-living and the assesors can't really refute your claim if you have a valid condition that is degenerative; as opposed to not having one of said conditions but writing you can't do some normal things like walk 200m in 5 mins and many others'. How would you validate that you cant walk such a short distance within the alotted time and be believed if you dont have a medical diagnosis by your GP or consultant.
    My gf sufferes from MH but she also has neck and back pain but she lost her DLA after not being able to show a diagnosis of back and neck pain and her MH disability didn't give her enough points, not even for the normal rate. So she promptly was migrated to some UC benefit.
    Not trying to create a dispute here but having a degenerative medical condition is fundamentally required so you can backup all your answers to the questions, no?

    • @emmacodski
      @emmacodski 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You do NOT Need a Diagnosis at All!

    • @robertjordon1984
      @robertjordon1984 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@emmacodski er then how would someone who has problems walking be able to give a valid medical diagnosis about why they can't walk. For example someone who has problems walking who has a diagnosis of arthritus can successfully argue their claim. But if there is no medical diagnosis of why one can not walk or has dexterity problems opr whatever...then the assessors can't refute the claimants issues. Please explain why you think you dont need a diagnosis, I believe your wrong and even if you are right I think the way this PIP is assessed, according to you and Charlie, should be so easy for anyone to be able to get PIP, but we hear its not easy to claim PIP.
      So anyway please explain why you made the comment, it makes no sense, no offence.

    Charlie, a lot of your info is very helpful, but I find the title to this video is misleading. As you know, it's not medical conditions that entitle a person to PIP, but HOW their medical condition/ conditions affect them. I am so naffed off with PIP. I don't go, I have Ataxia, I explain how it affects me. I went to tribunal (video link) and judge person had 1 piece of paper. Well I have over 50 pages, sent to me from appeals??!! I have been trying for 20 months to get PIP. I don't have physio, and OT for fun.
    I am in Northern Ireland, so Capita does our assessments. I have a lady who filled in my last appeal (2nd), this it what she does.
    I am a very patient person, and I am not going to go into how my condition affects. But PIP here has been very
    awful. My social worker was here with me for the video link. So anyway it got adjourned.

      Hi, I've had experience of owning pets (2 Guinea pigs) being used against me, for an ESA review..(ESA is a means tested benefit)..The assessor's view was I could care for them, therefore was not as bad as had stated... Nothing about how pets actually bring so much joy if you have mental health issues & it's encouraged to have a pet... She actually scored me zero points on my whole form, so did a Manual Reconsideration, & won...If you have a dog, they will ask how you walk it, that means you are able to go out, walk your dog etc - so, you can't be that ill, sort of thing.... It's all down to the assessor you see, unless you're lucky to get a paper based assessment & decision is made based on your form & supplied evidence.

    While PIP etc are obviously needed for those who need them, you DO realise you are also preparing cheats on how to 'correctly' answer these questions? I assume there is thorough validation before decisions are made.

    • @cheezetoasty3573
      @cheezetoasty3573 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The "cheats" as you call them would also need evidence reports from doctors, psychiatrists or heart doctors etc. They don't just give it willy nilly. The biggest cheats are the gruberment for their 3 houses, nobody ever mentions that though!

      So she shouldn't help people who need help because it might help people who are gaming the system? That would leave a lot of unwell and deserving people in a very difficult circumstances. Is that what you are advocating for? PIP is a tough system to game, purely because of the medical evidence you require. Unfortunately a hell of a lot of alcoholics and drug addicts get PIP and I have a real issue with that. Firstly are those actually disabilities? Second should self inflicted disability even count? The money should be paying for rehab, not subsiding the ongoing substance abuse.
