Another great post with practical useful advice that people can use. Unlike some channels I could mention that talk utter garbage and completely delusional with lie upon lie. Answers like “I don’t know” and “I’m not sure” doesn’t cut it either. One channel in particular is extremely negative and seriously bad for your health. They’re not very bright, full of hot air and broken promises. All the gear and no idea…ha ha ha. Regurgitated news anyone can find. The problem is that PIP will be adjusted by Labour so that certain conditions then dont qualify to get access to it. We heard this from Sunak and now sadly it seems Labour will do the same. They will seek to turn a blind eye to certain conditions or remove PIP IF they can find a way to say your fit for work. We have all been lied to and sadly many will suffer even tougher times under Labour until we can remove Starmer and his Tory cronies posing as Labour MP's

What they are planning to do it use what Sunak and Co said and thats to say certain conditions dont class as an excuse for sickness benefits. They are changing the rules to once again make it even harder to be eligible for PIP or UC.

I agree... It's not the time to be shy (which I understand how difficult or embarrassing it is to write about your difficulties)... You have to tell them everything & how your condition, etc, impacts on your daily life.
I got awarded pip for 10 years from 2015 to 2025 . I’m 62 now due another assessment before retirement age , not sure if you can get pip after retirement age . I never leave the house unless hospital appts . Have so many health issues and diagnosis’s , they seem to snowball after one .
@teslaandhumanity7383 You can't claim PIP once getting your state pension, but if you are on PIP at the time of starting to get your state Pension you will remain on PIP. Your award automatically switches to "indefinite" too from what I gather!
At the end of the day nobody will know better than yourself how you’re complex conditions affect you everyday in regards to daily living and mobility. Just tell the assessors how you’re condition affects you with these 12 activities. Be honest and just tell it like it is on the majority of days, you’re worse days and make sure you have medical evidence and a diary to back it up. The assessors aren’t monsters. Well, at least the ones I had wasn’t. They were patient and kind and listened to my problems. And my last assessor told me she had PTSD herself which made me feel at ease and less on edge like they’re human and less like uncaring people we come to expect. Don’t give up! That’s what I say.
My son when born his brain was damage during birth, i applied when my son was 5 for DLA no issues, now 29 years the DWP have not made it hard to apply, the 72 pages that I have filled out for 24 years of my sons life these forms are simple to fill out, i have completed 2 for my neighbours who are elderly so i help them with Attendance allowance. Personally, i wouldn't dream of charging to help someone fill ou these forms. You seem to charging an hell of alot, when most of the form filling is common sense. There are many companies like fight back for justice who charge a small fee or the benefits at work website who again charge such an small amount. People do your research on who you want to help you.

@@micheccccyour medical evidence means ZERO it’s literally about how you word the application. But send everything you can get your hands on. I know people with no medical condition = no medical proof of condition= no medication= and got pip for 10 years without issue. I know a person who has really serious medical ts health issues, serious mobility issues all confirmed with medical evidence, reports from multiple parts of the nhs all in their favour plus scans and lists of medications that leave the person sedated 24/7 and they did not get pip. Madness

I do agree it is a lot of money but it is up to you what you want to charge. I am struggling to get money together for a dyslexia diagnosis so will be one of those who can’t afford you. Charlie thank you. I don't think its entirely correct to say you dont need to have any condition to be able to claim PIP, that would mean a non-disabled person could make up some condition and proceed to answer the questions as per some made-up condition. You need to have a specific diagnosed condition to be able to validate why you cant move your arm or tie your shoes or bend over and wash yourself etc. For example if you have been diagnosed with scoliosis or arthritus or some similar condition you can then go onto write how these conditions negatively affect daily-living and the assesors can't really refute your claim if you have a valid condition that is degenerative; as opposed to not having one of said conditions but writing you can't do some normal things like walk 200m in 5 mins and many others'. How would you validate that you cant walk such a short distance within the alotted time and be believed if you dont have a medical diagnosis by your GP or consultant. My gf sufferes from MH but she also has neck and back pain but she lost her DLA after not being able to show a diagnosis of back and neck pain and her MH disability didn't give her enough points, not even for the normal rate. So she promptly was migrated to some UC benefit. Not trying to create a dispute here but having a degenerative medical condition is fundamentally required so you can backup all your answers to the questions, no?

Not true. I have a mortgage, and my husband works full time as well as doing everything for me. I receive both elements of PIP at the higher rate. PIP is not means-tested
Charlie my wife has been diagnosed with carpal tunnel,nodes and osteoporosis in her hands and knees.She no longer can be trusted to cook a meal as she has dropped some pans and plates in the kitchen as it’s not safe.I have had to take control of all cooking duties,and I have changed my hours of work.Do I have to make them aware of this I also administer her cream for her as she cannot reach the back of her knees and the back of her hands.
Your wife applies for PIP and under each descriptor she explains how her conditions affect her doing those tasks and the fact she cannot progress them safely. She should concentrate on her case, but could mention she needs help or needs somebody else to do the tasks.

That they are allowing you to have it for a year, then you'll need to start the dreaded process of trying to get it again after the year is up. Theyll contact you a month before.
Charlie, a lot of your info is very helpful, but I find the title to this video is misleading. As you know, it's not medical conditions that entitle a person to PIP, but HOW their medical condition/ conditions affect them. Example, one person with arthritis could be crippled, and another person be able to cope just fine. I have arthritis . I am awarded PIP, but for something else. I didn't claim for the arthritis cos it doesn't really affect my daily life just yet. Dunno if your heading is an attempt to draw more folk to your video, but it could attract interest from benefit fraudsters. Just saying ......
A friend of mine works at a gp’s surgery and she said people who have animals, a mortgage or a partner who earns a good salary are declined. She sees this every day. She said I will waste my time applying even if I have ME/Fibromyalgia/ADHD/undiagnosed dyslexia since my husband works…. She says she sees 100s of application a denied etc….
Hi, I've had experience of owning pets (2 Guinea pigs) being used against me, for an ESA review..(ESA is a means tested benefit)..The assessor's view was I could care for them, therefore was not as bad as had stated... Nothing about how pets actually bring so much joy if you have mental health issues & it's encouraged to have a pet... She actually scored me zero points on my whole form, so did a Manual Reconsideration, & won...If you have a dog, they will ask how you walk it, that means you are able to go out, walk your dog etc - so, you can't be that ill, sort of thing.... It's all down to the assessor you see, unless you're lucky to get a paper based assessment & decision is made based on your form & supplied evidence.
Is this was a review, you continue to the Mandatory Reconsideration, explaining why you think you you should have got those points. Write to the DWP do not call them. If the Mandatory Reconsideration fails you appeal through a tribunal!
She spends a lot of time with them and fills the form out in great detail. It's a horrible process. One of the worst official document based processes I've ever been through. It's hard to get people to help you with it and she knows the process so well. Also a lot of organisations will charge you for it and not do a good a job as she has done.

I am so naffed off with PIP. I don't go, I have Ataxia, I explain how it affects me. I went to tribunal (video link) and judge person had 1 piece of paper. Well I have over 50 pages, sent to me from appeals??!! I have been trying for 20 months to get PIP. I don't have physio, and OT for fun. I am in Northern Ireland, so Capita does our assessments. I have a lady who filled in my last appeal (2nd), this it what she does. I am a very patient person, and I am not going to go into how my condition affects. But PIP here has been very awful. My social worker was here with me for the video link. So anyway it got adjourned.
While PIP etc are obviously needed for those who need them, you DO realise you are also preparing cheats on how to 'correctly' answer these questions? I assume there is thorough validation before decisions are made.
The "cheats" as you call them would also need evidence reports from doctors, psychiatrists or heart doctors etc. They don't just give it willy nilly. The biggest cheats are the gruberment for their 3 houses, nobody ever mentions that though!
So she shouldn't help people who need help because it might help people who are gaming the system? That would leave a lot of unwell and deserving people in a very difficult circumstances. Is that what you are advocating for? PIP is a tough system to game, purely because of the medical evidence you require. Unfortunately a hell of a lot of alcoholics and drug addicts get PIP and I have a real issue with that. Firstly are those actually disabilities? Second should self inflicted disability even count? The money should be paying for rehab, not subsiding the ongoing substance abuse.
@@TheChodax One issue does not nullify another! Plain fact - in every video intro, this channel owner proudly stated how "very, very, VERY good I am at filling out these forms...I have rarely LOST" !!! --> So yes, she is 100% happy to encourage watchers to game/fake this system.

You would have to have a screw loose to try and get PIP as a cheat! It's had enough for genuine people! In addition, the DWP like evidence from Doctors/Consultants and a health care professional can turn up at your house....!

1: Be brutally Honest
2: Explain how it affects every part of your life.

So she shouldn't help people who need help because it might help people who are gaming the system? That would leave a lot of unwell and deserving people in a very difficult circumstances. Is that what you are advocating for? PIP is a tough system to game, purely because of the medical evidence you require. Unfortunately a hell of a lot of alcoholics and drug addicts get PIP and I have a real issue with that. Firstly are those actually disabilities? Second should self inflicted disability even count? The money should be paying for rehab, not subsiding the ongoing substance abuse.

You would have to have a screw loose to try and get PIP as a cheat! It's had enough for genuine people! In addition, the DWP like evidence from Doctors/Consultants and a health care professional can turn up at your house....!
