- Today we take a look at Paul Smith Ltd, Lenton, Nottingham NG7 2PW.
This was another unsigned building but we was immediately informed of what it is, by a member of staff leaving.
Once we found out it was the global clothing brand Paul Smith we decided to take a closer look.
We speak to the security in the gatehouse about where we can walk, but its his first day, so we was directed to reception, where we met the nicest receptionist to date.
We see the Paul Smith Signature Stripe Mini, which has only just arrived apparently.
Once we let the receptionist know that we will be outside making a video with the drone, we go and start flying.
We are then spoke to by many people who then call the Police.
The Police arrive and provide the education.

Why does it get this far? When the people call the police - the operator should immediately say 'no, filming from public is fine, leave them alone".
The Police would be terrified of any liability issues to a business, as businesses can afford expensive lawyers !

@@bluenose7984 because the store security say they have detained someone who is fighting them and because if a house has been burgled, then the offence has happened and a police officer driving on blues and twos won't change the fact that the burglar has left and no one is at risk.
Gary probably told them his life was in danger.
Because they are idiots too. Top and bottom of it, I've phoned 101 about fifteen times the past week, even explained the law to them.
They still don't get it or wish to be ignorant as well as arrogant, so now I'm suing them. It's the only way they change their behaviour, they are corrupt and not fit for purpose from the top down.

Speaking as a receptionist myself, I really hope that lovely lady didn't get into trouble for being so nice.

Can you imagine if you had done what Mr Brown Coat had sent an email saying "Hi, you don't know me, can I have a guided tour and you answer my questions, all the while I film it?" They would just delete the email and move on.

DJ I loved it when you reminded them the big boss is due to visit soon, the cogs in their brains started moving and they were thinking 'yes he is!'. At that point the conversation turned more friendly I would love to know what Paul Smith made of it all.
Nice to see a police officer on one of these videos who knows the law and calms things down rather than inflating thd situation and issuing threats. He should be snapped up and promoted to a position of senior leadership.

In addition to the fact that DJ had an answer for each and every one of their questions, despite the fact that they tried to twist it and repeat themselves in order to make him guilty in some way, I loved the look of despair on their faces when the police arrived and essentially confirmed what DJ had been saying the entire time. I sincerely hope they learned their lesson after receiving the education, and it's been 11 months since this video has been uploaded, so even if they tried to take it down it clearly didn't work 😂

Very crafty of Joe to keep you talking whilst the police were en route 😮 Gary is by far the most tedious character I’ve seen yet on this channel 😂
Joe was really using all his skills to keep you there. After your first attempt to leave I instantly thought "The cops are on their way!". This was a very long video, but it was quite different from a lot of them, and whether it was to delay your leaving site, or genuine interest, it was refreshing to see just how much the situation turned around once they calmed down and engaged a little more with you. We have to remember, that we are all used to auditing, but most people are not, so of course they are going to be a bit defensive.
These people desperately want there to be something wrong with what you do & get more and more frustrated when they finally realise that there is nothing they can do

The receptionist was brilliant. That's the type of interaction everyone should have!! The no SIA badge security guy needs retraining, orange vest guy needs retraining. Copper was great as you've obviously dealt with him before. Brightest part though, was the receptionist and her attitude and her welcoming demenour.

You can see the brown coat guy as the interaction progresses, he realises the power of TH-cam & the fact that this vid will be seen by the masses. The whole point of these audits are the good, the bad & the ugly & the most important the announced. It turned out to be a decent audit in the end. And you could see Gary creeping back into shot as he wanted to hear everything as the vid came to an end. Very very interesting interaction indeed! You’ll be smashing that 100k mark before you know it broski.

Another fascinating video from the King of Audits. I’d imagine that Sir Paul Smith would be unhappy that two of his senior management team brought his company into disrepute with their actions and wasted an hour that they should have been more productive with improving the business on. Odd that Gary and Joseph were keen not to be put on social media when both have LinkedIn accounts telling the world about them and their roles at Paul Smith.
