Trailhawk Elite comes with heated and ventilated full leather seating as well as the power lift gate and yes, the 9 speed others have mentioned. Great B roll footage and I loved the scenery also. Nice video.

Thanks for the review. Just bought one today (traded in my Compass), especially for my commute from Johnstown to Estes Park and winter driving.

The good news is that even if you are not going to take it off road you are taking advantage of the all-wheel drive plus four wheel drive system every time you drive. It's automatic.. makes a tremendous difference in the rain.
If you put a 2-in lift on these things with 32-in tires you can take on poison spider believe it or not. These are no joke. Super capable off road but they will pick up a wheel.
There are seven skid plates under this thing... It's not going to flex 40 inches like a Wrangler but it's the next best thing and drives a heck of a lot better on Road.
Honestly the tires are big enough that probably all the way down to 26 PSI would hold the weight of the Cherokee just fine so if you wanted to ride even smoother you can drop the tire pressure. Look it up for yourself. Go to the load information tables for tire changes and pretend like you're changing the tire from the non-trail hawk to the Trailhawk... You'll see that 26 PSI will support the vehicle's weight just fine with those big tires. Although if you're on a long trip or your tires could get pretty hot I would say do at least 29.
If you want to use lower pressures like that you'll have to use alpha OBD to keep the warnings from showing up. You can take it all the way down to 22 PSI before it shows warnings with alpha OBD.
I have a tiktok video about it if anybody's interested.

We’re debating trading in our 2019 Trailhawk…is there any point/difference? Everything seems identical to me.

Could you review the 2022 Compass and compare it to that one? I actually am looking at both.

Wait within first few seconds you said it has an 8 speed trans. Is that right? Did they finally ditch the awful 9 speed my 2019 has? And they do come with automatic lift gate. Mine has push button and kick to open.

    • @HighestGearReviews

Hi Jon. Nope they still have the 9 speed. What issues are you having with the transmission. Be great for others to know.

Have a 2018 Trailhawk, nice car for on road,,, as a 35 year Jeep owner,,,3 XJ'S ,3 Gand Cherokees and now our first New Cherokee, we are very disappointed with the truck,,,,terrible 9 speed transmission,,,cannot tow what it says,,,,4500lbs my @$$, this SUV struggles bringing my laundry to the laundromat and my Grand Cherokee has trouble towing my 3500lb trailer with the 8 cylinder, still love the Jeep products just not this one, bring back the XJ. ,,,,nuff said

Are these rear wheel drive or front wheel drive? I love the way they look but if it’s front wheel drive it’ll be a no for me.

Hi there. From what I remember I think the trail hawk is AWD. I believe there is a lower trim available that is FWD. Check with the dealer to be sure on what configuration is in the model you look at. Have fun!

This is a good review. 👍 We have a Grand and a Cherokee. Cherokee with V6 and dual exhaust just purrs. Kinda sporty. My wifes Cherokee might be more comfortable than my Grand.

@@longbluesquid I drove Cherokee today, needed state inspection and oil change. So wife had my Grand TH. Main difference is Grand is a tick quieter. Unibody has foam as insulator in the body panels. Sits higher. I will tell you, I could get a Cherokee and live with it very easily.. Noise level might be 2-3 db difference in Road noise, not much. for me seating is more comfortable in the Cherokee, go figure. I would like to drive TH Cherokee, we have the Latitude Lux. Good value imho. Oh, Cherokee like I said, more sporty feel. Has a slight twin exhaust note pretty peppy with the v6. Slightly better mpgs than Grand. We like both. Grand more room for road trips. 👍👍😎🇺🇸

Looks just like my 2019 just that you no longer have the option for the I4 2.0l turbo.

I’d rather have the V6 than the 2.0. Sounds better and it’s a more reliable engine because it’s not being overworked by a turbocharger.

    • @xdxdxdxd1643
      @xdxdxdxd1643 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@xkcash_238 I have no issues or complaints with the 2.0. The engine is also easier to work on and maintain.

@@xdxdxdxd1643 No it’s not it’s turbocharged Naturally aspirated engines are usually easier to work on for the most part and cheaper if u take it to a mechanic.

Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk has the offroad ability the Blazer RS is missing, but the RS motor is so much sweeter, the Jeep is nice, but could use the airlift system Jeep offers. A nice package overall, but the motor is lacking at 44000 dollar-type range, the old Jeep Cherokee was known for its fast for SUV motor.

I have a 19 trailhawk with the 2.0 turbo engine and I feel like that engine is way better than the v6. Short of a hemi I love my engine and feel like its plenty fast , especially at Colorado mountain elevations. Massive upgrade if they offer it in the model you're looking for
