I've recently incorporated the Lions main mushroom extract into my morning coffee. It's neat to see the mushroom that's responsible for the extract I'm consuming each day!

Just today I actually found a handful of medium sized Lions Mane mushrooms growing at my house! 4 mediums, and one baby to be precise.
They're growing on a tree we felled last year, and just haven't done anything with the huge part of the trunk. Which is really large, it was a red Oak, probably about 300 yrs old, and very hard to move.
    Yay for procrastination!
    Anyway, I am SOOOO EXCITED!
I'm mostly excited just to know they are here growing!!
I don't live way far out in the country, but in a small town that is far away from large city limits, so it surprises me that they are growing here - AT MY HOUSE!!
But I'm a believer that nature brings us what we need.
And I just stopped purchasing the dried mushrooms I've been taking the past year for my health, only bcuz of financial reasons. And then here they are! At my doorstep!!
I've never had any beneficial mushrooms growing at my house!!
    Anyway-
    There's only one bummer...
Which is - they're already turning yellow to kinda brown, which is a bummer.
    I'm too late! 😪
But I knew it when I saw them, but still! So happy!!
Now I'm wondering if any more will come? I read they will.
But I don't know if it will be soon, or next year at this time, or what?
    I don't know their habit.
    I have so many questions!!
Should I cut the older ones off to promote new ones coming?
Should I leave the older ones there to promote new ones coming?
Should I look for a mushroom expert to come over and properly ID them?
If I just want to powder them, can I still use them in their old state?
Or maybe that's not worth it?
    I dunno!
    What to DO!?!
    WHAT TO DO!!!

      I have yet another question...
There is another type of mushroom growing on this same trunk, but on the other side.
I'm wondering if that matters in any way to the Lions Mane perhaps being tainted by sharing a "space", or should I say host?
If anyone reading has any tips, or ideas I all 👂 ears!!
I sure could use some tips!
      I'm LOVING this channel btw!!
So glad Jessica from Roots and Refuge steered me over here!!
      ❤ I'm a Sub for life!! ❤

This was a really fun video. One of the best. Really enjoyed watching you harvest and process the lions mane. Love seeing your freeze dryer in action. The colors and freshness always gets me.

You would not believe it . I found a big lion mushroom. Like you showed in your video . I was so tickled, because I’m totally new to all of this. It was a big one I cleaned it when we got home , cut it up and put it in the freezer dryer. We are developing our land and I have seen so many of them here and there . Got me book and app on my phone . If you need some I can send you some if you like I’m in Tennessee. God bless thank you for you sharing and teaching like you I’m also a student.

Always leave the sports when you cut mushrooms so they grow back

They're not hard to grow I used to grow them in my basement with several other types. I know Asheville funghi has spawn, 1lb for 11.00 or something like that.
There's another place that has like 10 or 12 lb of Spawn for 40 bucks but depends on where you get it. I still have some culture on a petri dish in my fridge should all do it several years old I don't know how viable it is but I'm waiting up for some supplies and then I'm start back up again but this time not in my basement actually in a closet. It doesn't take too much to grow Gourmet mushrooms that's for sure I found some in the upper peninsula once, lion's mane is actually quite tasty.

Since when is dehydrated apples not good for you??? I dehydrate them all the time. I don't have the means for a freeze dryer so dehydrating it is. I love that you have the option to freeze dry as you have the machine but dehydrating is still good and yes it's not as great as the freeze dryer. I love your channel and what you do and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Dehydrating does take away some components but it's not bad. If you can clarify what you meant by bad that would be great.
