This is a load of rubbish. Just purchased this piece and im blown away by the fit, the dial and the colourway. This is a one a done. Got rid of all my rolex pieces as ticks all the boxes imo from diving 200 metres, ant magnetic metas certified.this channel never mentioned that so i thinking hell be running back to shop he returned it.. Honestly this piece is a one and done and ive finally found it. Dont get brain washed by all the channels online talking about gilt dial etc. Its absolutely stunning. See it in person. Try it. This blends a yactmaster rose gold dial with a gmt coke. Imo the gmt coke is brighter and more bland. This burgundy dial pops and perfectly executed. My advice get it quick before it you cant!
@gongkia2000 I know pal. Strong statement. See it in person, wasn't a fan of any of their stuff before, especially when considering value retention. Check it out though. This is a piece for the future. The dial and colour combination are on the nail. Its a 126610 in a 39mm case without the cyclops and ceramic ball bearing clasp. Making the dial smaller imo gives it a more refined look. Rolex maxi dial cases on the new models imo are too large, hour markers I mean and ceramic bezel is too blingly shiny and looks bland. Why had one, sold it, never looked back. Arguably this is rolexs version on the new sub 126610ln in a 39 case without cyclops, a glit dial, gmt function, diving 200metres water resistant and anti magnetic to 15,000 gauss. On paper it's a one stop shop and done, then I saw it, bought it and now realise this is a piece. Remove all the influencing on line, where everyone has the same script, regurgitating it out like sheep...bah bah! go in try it on! Over and out.

I have a similar experience with Tudor. I had the BB GMT - found it too heavy. Tried the new 41 on jubilee a whim (like you, my wife liked it). Sold it a year later. I just got a Rolex Explorer 2, black dial. Fits my 7inch wrist beautifully, and it gets noticed by people into watches. I love it, slimmer than the BB GMT was, but great presence. Tudor is a bit of an odd brand, as every model has something more iconic in the level up brother Rolex.
@@mkyhou1160 I have a DJ and YM Rolex watches, a Tudor BB GMT that I will swap for the 58 GMT for better fitment. Rolex is the most uncool watch, it is a high end fashion watch. I will be happy to offload my Rolex, I will keep my vintage DJ and Tudor GMT 58 if I can get one. Everybody owns a Rolex either real of fake making it super uncool for people who want to be noticed, it attracts the wrong attention. I think IMO Tudor is the better brand albeit not the better watch.
I agree - my BB GMT hasn't been on my wrist since i got the smaller, thinner, and lighter BB 58 GMT. The BB GMT is just a bit too heavy and a bit too thick now.
I bought this watch about 6 weeks ago. My first Tudor and was quite impressed. Bought the rubber strap from my AD 2 weeks ago, so now have the versatility of using both. Fits my 6" wrist perfectly.
Hi @KC14109 if you don't mind me asking how much was the rubber strap and is your AD a strictly Tudor Boutique? I am looking to get the rubber strap as well for mine. Thanks
@kayodekehinde1131 Hey. The rubber strap and deployment clasp was AU$1100. The AD sells 6 different brands. I've been very lucky and only waited 3 months for my Explorer ll and my Snoopy I got just by walking in and asking for it. Luckily they had just got one in. Just waiting on a Batman atm.
I bought the original GMT 3 years ago (brand new on bracelet) and still love it. Everything works perfectly and it’s in almost perfect condition. I tried the BB 58 GMT 2 months ago and I prefer the original. Fits better on my big wrist and I prefer the silver on hands and markers and the red on GMT hand. Also I like more the Matt blue and red bezel than the black and red, but I hate shiny bezels.I know it’s Metas certified and it has the T-Fit clasp, but despite that and as I said before, I prefer the original one. Thanks for the video.
Agreed. If they had launched the new 58 GMT with the same ‘Pepsi’ colour way of the original 41 & added a 5-link bracelet option it would sell like hot cakes!
Have this watch for 4 months now. Off about 1 second a week. Usaually wear 41 - 44 on my 7 1/4 inch wrists. This is a perfect one. Could be a one and only. T- fit fantastic.
I love my bLack bay pro and I think this also looks great. That said I think one gmt is more than enough and the Seiko is fantastic, as a bonus it’s quartz so it’s a watch that does not require messing with to wear. I assumed I would have a lot off grief if I had tried to take my Tudor back as they had taken all the stickers off and there was nothing wrong with it.
So many great things that they could have done with the first bb58 gmt, and they chose a weird dressy colorway. Also, how did you return a sized watch?
I have done exactly that a few times. It is such a relief to return to a normal equillibrium again. The dark side comes when you buy one, soon realize it has no place in the collection and sell it for a sizeable loss. I have done that too. Ouch.😊
My authorized dealer contacted me twice, first to offer the BB58 GMT and then, months later, the Tudor Chronograph Blue. Initially, I was impressed by the press releases and videos, and I really liked it. However, in person, it felt underwhelming to me. Maybe it's just my perception. Surprisingly, while passing by a Seiko boutique, I came across a Seiko Prospex LX model that I had previously overlooked online. I instantly fell in love with it. It might sound crazy and irrational, but that’s how I felt about the purchase, and I have no regrets.
I know what you mean - the same thing happened to me with an Oris and a Longines. If it doesn't fit in your lineup then it's better to part with it. BB 58 GMT is an excellent watch (and would make a good candidate for a one or two watch collection), but if you have watches you actually prefer to wear which perform the same function then there's little point in having it. We are not going to live forever so it makes sense to get maximum enjoyment from our favourite possessions while we can.
It was way better looking when I got it in person. I get what you’re saying about leveling up though. For me this fits when I would like to wear the Rolex GMT II but going somewhere I wouldn’t want to risk it. What are the one or two next for you?
I get the point about levelling up with your collection. I went from Seiko-Tag-Oris-Tudor-Omega and while I’m tempted by plenty of watches a part of me feels like I should keep moving upwards. I had my eye on the Longines Silver Arrow for a while and it’s on sale now for a good price, but I wonder how much the initial buzz will last and how much wrist time it will get in months to come.
Ohi really understand, buyers remorse is a very real thing ,your lucky you got your money back I removed the stickers on my seiko speedtimer , I lost 30 percent of the retail lesson learnt
I still believe the BB58 GMT is still one of the best Tudors in the catalog right now but seems like most of your reasons for returning the watch are more... personal. Completely understandable of course if a watch doesn't simply click or have no place in your current collection. Like for me, I could never get this watch because I already own a Pepsi so it would be too redundant to own two GMTs that have very similar colors.
Was going to buy one on the rubber. But the AD offered me a stupid offer on my Tudor 36 blue, tried to steal it. So never bought,it’s a very nice watch for all that. 🇬🇧
You are most definitely a collector. There are many multi-themed collections out there. Even 1 watch per brand is a type of collection... Good vid BTW. 👌
At least you tried it Andy, you might have walked away and pondered the what if you didn't find one again. A great watch without doubt but sometimes we need to have a little time with a watch before we decide if it's a keeper or not. I have the 41 GMT for some years now and I think it's OK on my 7" wrist, it's thicker than the new 58 GMT but also a larger diameter so the proportions may not be too different. I guess aesthetically I prefer my 41 over the new one as the guilt bits over power it a tad compared to my old one. I certainly cannot justify both in my collection. If I didn't have my 41 I would certainly give it a try though.
I have the original GMT 41 and love it. Swapped out bracelet and put it on a Rubber B. Can’t imagine not having the red GMT hand for a quick glance to see your home time. The original is thick but I’m ok with it. Perfect low key travel watch that doesn’t attract unwanted attention with the way I have it set up now.
It's interesting to say that I had almost the same experience as you last year. I bought BLACK BAY RED because the suggestion of my wife. After wearing it for a while, I felt that the polishing of the watch's not very good, so I didn’t keep the black bay red at the end.
I've been wearing my 41mm BBGMT a lot since my daughter went to Australia. Today whilst twiddling the bezel it fell off in my hand! It's never been the same since it went back to Tudor for the date issue. It went back again because they the smudged the minute hand, then again when they failed to line the bezel up properly. After that the bezel action was very muted and dull. Time to find someone to do it properly.
Don't you think that this watch was released too late? Some 2 or 3 years late, after the possible audience moved on from the idea of a thinner black bay GMT.. curious to hear your opinion about this schedule. Thank you!
I think you nailed it. It's a great watch, but it's definitely - and I say this without negativity - an entry point to the "luxury" side of watch collecting. If you're a young man or woman looking with a few grand saved up and wanting to get a new watch with a ton of features from a decent brand... Tudor is here for you. But if you are established with a large or growing collection of higher end brands, then it doesn't always work - it's too expensive to be a no-thought purchase (like a moonswatch or something might be).
Andy, always enjoy your thought process and your delivery. Last week my Rolex AD offered me the new gold/steel GMT on the two tone jubilee. I never thought I would buy a two tone and this watch was not on my radar. Wife comes over and says it looks great, it’s different from anything you have and you should get it. I did and I don’t regret it. It’s really a stunning watch when you see it in the metal .
I saw one in the shop window last weekend and tried it on for size. I have the Tudor Blackbay GMT and was considering replacing this if Tudor bring out a similar colour scheme, I'm not a fan of the gilt finish. Anyway... the only thing that put me off was the bezel action - it felt quite loose compared with my Blackbay GMT. Not read any reviews mentioning this - so wonder if this was one-off or if I'm being ultra picky.
Good on you for making a decision that you had to make. I really like the Tudor Black Bay series of watches. The one thing that I’m not attracted to is the guilt versions. On any watch. Each to their own. Keep up the great vids.
Great video, and I totally relate to your reason for not liking it. But I'm staggered that they took it back. Does that now make it a 2nd hand watch, as the warranty card is now dated? I'd like to understand how that works from the dealer's perspective.
Watch collection needs purpose for your needs and rotation, I understand. Not just for the sake of collecting or hoarding. Fair call and well said. I have five watches in my collection, one quartz, two divers, vintage piece and a Speedy. Anymore and it’s too much.
I had a similar although opposite feeling for a Rolex Explorer 2 ‘polar’ that I bought. I realized I hadn’t done enough to earn the watch, it was more expensive than I should spend in my current situation, it would make me nervous to wear it, and I wanted to have a significant watch mark a significant occasion. Just buying for the sake of buying felt like it cheated or cheapened the experience.
You may have just saved me from myself .... the gloss bezel just seems wrong. I didn't notice until you pointed it out. I think I'll keep my BB58. I was going to trade it in against the 58GMT
I ended up pulling the trigger on this watch ..... and bloody love it. The gloss bezel really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It looks very classy on a tan/brown strap
Ironically, when I spend this kind of money on myself, I always show the watch to my wife. This makes her feel part of the decision, and she has never said "no". Hopefully your wife will get that you love to collect watches and be part of your hobby. I also buy her an expensive watch to celebrate her life achievements.
I can understand that you returned it, totally. I have collected watches now for over 30 years, it took off the last 4-5 years really. I have now come to a point that I get easily bored with most new models that arrive, they are just a slight variation of something I know very well. What interests me now is generally vintage watches, great models which also has developed some kind of personality, all it patina, maybe an interesting story behind it, whatever. Also of course I am looking at more traditional brands like Breguet, JLC, Patek, Lange, but also older Speedmaster, Heuer from 60’s and 70’s, plus obscure watches from for example Zodiac, Perrelet etc. Still a vintage Rolex with the right vibes is always interesting! When I look in the window I often find myself looking at Tudor as they DO have quality watches and they DO have interesting designs, still I never get that feeling that “I want one”. Not often do with new watches anyway but…
I am sorry that over the pond people will criticize the prompt return of an item within the return policy. I would love a hands-on with the 58 GMT, but since I have my 58 already I doubt I would buy either.
"Your tastes have moved towards smaller pieces". You are one of the few people who will admit that bigger watches are a bit of a fad and just do not look good on average wrists. I will stick with my Watch Dives BB54 copy with its gilt embellishments, brilliant quartz movement, superb accuracy and excellent price...
Gosh I can relate to two parts so much. The tfit being no use as I'm between link sizes (41 diver), and the desire to 'aspire' as I have an almost there collection, killing me to save and wait for pieces that will really add something.
The other observation is that my first impression of this guy's personality is he doesn't seem to have an enthusiastic personality -- even while talking about why he "like" the watch.
I have a small collection. One in one out method. The mainstays are the Submariner 41mm 124060 and a Speedy 3590.50 1994. So far its been tough trying to add a new piece. The more time in the hobby the more I am becoming a one watch guy. Returning that Tudor is not shocking to me. Great video btw
Hmm. Interesting. My BB 58 GMT and the BB 54 are by far my two most worn watches. In fact i don't plan on buying another watch for quite some time now that I have those two in my watch box. Too bad it didn't work for you.
I fast forwarded to the reason you took the watch back because I was intrigued. I thought this is going to be a load of rubbish - I’m very surprised to say I have to agree with you. I now own this watch, but I did some weeks ago before I was bought the bb58 gmt try on the sekio Quartz GMT you have, if I had chosen to get the sekio I would not be interested in also owning the Tudor. if you like something you like it and you should go with that not something else because it’s popular. I don’t particularly care for the Rolex Daytona if I had to choose between that watch and the zenith equivalent I would take the Zenith all day long.
Sorry to hear this watch didn't work out for you! I would love to get my hands on the 'Captain Picard' someday! Would have been amazing if they launched this with a 5-link bracelet...
It’s not the watch, it’s you and it is called watch fatigue. After a number of years and a fair amount of thousands of GBP, the excitement coming from the latest watch no longer is the same as when you bought your first SKX 10 years ago.
Each their own but I think the Tudor offers more/something diff to the GS GMT: Colour, guilt, rotating bezel plus a mechanical movement etc. Buying on a whim then returning is a rookie mistake for someone advising others on their ‘watch journey ‘ tbh. Ps. I do agree with you on text at bottom of dial though & same colour GMT hand. It’s a nice piece, sure, but not a buy.
Nothing wrong with that Tudor, but honestly, if one wanted a really nice GMT watch, they could do a lot worst than picking a second hand IWC 3251 UTC, which can be found for GBP 3k or less. It's also a lot less conspicuous than any of these Rolex GMT Master based designs, so you can actually wear it while traveling (or walking down the streets of London).
I respect your decision, you'll always be right about your own collection but I can almost hear it your voice as you're comparing it to a quartz Seiko that you're regretting returning this GMT.
hmmm.. i kinda understand where you're coming from. You are at a point in your journey where the watches you would like to wear/collect are off a certain standard. So lets just use brands as an example. You are past the Longines, christopher ward, tudor, oris type and currently in the Omega, IWC, JLC phase. I myself have a 10 watch rule and i can only wear so many of my watches, so I'd like each watch that take a slot in my watch box to have a meaning and purpose. In that sense, I can understand your perspective. But.i do leave 2 slots to fun pieces (such as my studio underd0g watermelon and my Zerootime M1). I don't think its a good idea to be too rigid with your watch collection. Some exceptions can be made, because sometimes we might just love how a watch looks despite the brand equity. I think the Longines spirit zulutime 39 is one of the best watches out there right now. Amazing design and value, But from how you are describing your watch collecting journey, that piece is not going to be up for consideration for you. Which is fine but I think it can limit your choice alot going forward. Then again there are plenty of choices too in the JLCs, IWCs and Omegas. Love the video and always look forward to your videos.
@@TheEnglishWatch I would highly suggest checking out the Longines flagship moon phase and the Longines spirit Zulutime 39. Unbelievable value for what you’re getting. When I got hands on with it(Zulutime 39), it was a no brainer. Perhaps the lower cost might even sweeten the deal considering how much watch you’re getting for your money. Also on the yema, I have seen videos of it, it does look really cool and I’d love to get hands on with it. Micro rotors are rare to get at an affordable price.
@@ahmadghufran8117I went to the LONGINES boutique in London was not impressed at all with the quality of watches but the designs were nice however I then thought there is no design coherence. Every single one of their watches is lacking something
Fantastic watch and looks great on your wrist! Sporty and elegant at the same time imo. But if it doesn’t fit your needs based on the current state of your collection then you certainly did the right thing. Even though going against your wife’s suggestions it will never be the right thing😅
Hi Andy, what a story. I would not know what my local watch supplier would say if I would take a watch back after 48 hrs. Does yours have some kind of return policy? I wonder where your ambitions are going up the scale. Time will tell. Cheers Udo
I’ve been offered this 3 times by the boutique at Gatwick but I want to see it in real life first. I think most people wanted the original Tudor Pepsi GMT in a 39mm rather than this gilt version 🤔
Us collectors frequently over intellucualise the hobby during our journey through time. The problem being, for me anyway, is that the parameters are constantly evolving, hindering objectivity. As a resolution, I try and return to basics in that does the piece make you smile? I would have kept that watch. For me, it's exquisiteness at a very reasonable price. I respect your views however.....
Haha. Had a similar experience recently Andy. Mine was with the Tudor Chronograph Panda (white dial). I took it home and the damned thing just looked huge on me. Looked fine in the shop. Anyway, I took it back and bought a Grand Seiko Shunbun, which is a really nice watch, a keeper (for now, LOL). I also have the 6.75 inch left wrist and I'm tending towards 39mm's. Recent purchases are the Tag Glass Box Panda (39mm...great watch), and several IWCs (Mark XVI and Mark XX) along with a couple of Rolexes that were offered. But I'm changing the way I do things as well. I just have too many watches that are never worn. What a waste. Someone could be enjoying them and I could buy a Lange One or even something more interesting if I got rid of the extraneous ones. I'll continue to buy from the AD when they have something Rolex as I consider that a good habit. I've sold a few off over the years as they became old. Always made money unlike other brands. Anyway I have considered this watch that you returned and for some reason I'm shying away. I've been offered one and just did not respond (blast text so not discourteous of me). Enjoying your journey. Thanks for sharing. Jim in St Louis, Missouri.
This was the watch I wanted forever. After having a 58’and wanting a gmt version, I went it to try it on expecting to walk out with it. What put me off? There is too much gold IMO.
Owned a few Tudor’s and they always leave me feeling a bit hollow and like I’ve bought a homage rather than the real thing. The marketing and the David Beckham connection is really cringy and off putting for me too. I do like them and they’re making progress unlike Omega who seem to be going backwards if anything and I’m sure a new Black bay 58 is coming out next year and that’s going to be very interesting. My AD has two 58 GMT’s in the window and the colours and gilt bits along with the sheen bezel all looks a bit over the top for me but it’s Tudor so they will milk this model to death with various colours in the future.
I would one as they do look nice , but I want a Rolex GMT and I know I would look at the Tudor and just regret it every time I looked at it as it would delay my getting the watch I really want
I've sold 4 Tudors for the same reason. They never have a use case in my collection, and there's never a reason I'd wear it over one of my others. Though I'm consolidating too, and there's always a more interesting version of whatever Tudor produces. Hope you're well Andy👍
I bought this watch lightly used at just under retail and then sold it 1 month later. At first, I had a hard time pinpointing what exactly motivated me to sell it. Then I realized why: Next to my Grand Seiko collection, the Tudor felt crude in comparison and I don’t mean in a tool watch sort of way. I mean in regards to level of finishing for the same price. See, I buy preowned GS’s for less than 5k and I truly feet that GS in this price bracket offers the best ROI. It took me 10 years of watch collecting to finally realize this. I even sold my 3 Rolex watches. I now have 4 hand picked GS’s (including the Shunbun) that I absolutely adore.
@@jamesminshall4601 I buy them in mint condition, so they have no scratches when I buy them. Admittedly, I baby the watches after purchase, so they still look new.
I like the Tudor watches in general, but two things really annoy me, well maybe three. The first is the jungle of models that is very similar but with small differences that I never get my head around to understand, with Rolex the differences between the models are much more logical and easier to recognise. Second there is the snowflake hands, I find them awkward and not sleek and elegant like they should be, thirdly I also find that many of them are too thick. I have had several Tudors, now I only have two I think, they are older models, one from 1962 and another from 1999, they don’t have the dreaded snow flake hands and they look elegant, not too thick either.
Selling on eBay for £3300 new or best offer. I love a grand Seiko but your sells less than £1900 on the secondary market and I think the price is reflective of the difference in the watches. While the gmt is not for you, I don’t think you can compare both watches. I once spent £15k on a root beer gmt Rolex and ended up taking it back. I tried to justify it to myself by saying it was too flashy and I had other watches. The truth is, it was a large amount of money that I could do better things with.
“Cheapened my collection” reminds me of the archieluxury black bay burgundy moment of shame in a restaurant when a guy walked in with a Patek and a lady the pootiph fancied. Everyone picked on him when he confessed, but now I sort of see the point too. I have 2 Tudors and 36 other watches (I just buy what I like too…so not a systematic collector). To be honest, the Tudors are definitely at the low end of the spectrum, cost wise. Normal people mistake them for Rolex watches (normal people don’t know watches much) so the shame of wearing a lowly Tudor is just in the wearer’s mind (if the wearer knows too much for his own good).
😄 I know what you mean by taking your wife shopping the last couple of watch purchases have been due to the wife encouraging me, I take my wife with me to hold me back. Never mind I would've bought them at some time. Sorry to hear the Tudor didn't fit in with your collection. The GMT Tudor is on my radar but not just yet. Great video by the way.
I thought this watch was so beautiful on all the pictures/videos I saw but then tried it on at an AD when I was ready to purchase and thought it looked ugly in person.
Everyone has criticized Rolex and Tudor for having too much dial text and you want more? I agree that it’s a little imbalanced, but we need a concise message
Having tried both watches on and owning one of them watches I don’t really think the difference is enormous. the sekio is as well finished as anything that Rolex make but the bracelet and clasp is not as good.
I think you were wise to return it, just too slab sided. I do think if one is to get a GMT the Rolex is the way to go. Yes it's more expensive but it's so much more of a watch - and as you say you want to level up, it was not the right watch for you.
This video could have been 15 minutes shorter.
How does this "not offer anything above" the GS GMT?
- A rotating two tone GMT bezel to track a 3rd time zone
- A METAS certified automatic mvmt, vs a ticking quartz mvmt (not even spring drive). THIS cheapens the collection way more IMO
- Enough lime to actually read the correct time in the dark instead of an approximation
- A comfortable, solid bracelet with fantastic T-Fit micro adjustment
- Decent residual value
Seems like an absolute no brainer to keep the BB58 GMT and ditch the GS, but ymmv.

@ballplayer7373 totally agree.
Tudor doesn't have jiu-jitsu polishing! End of.

Watch is great bought it but returned it because I didn’t plan properly. Wow.
Just got my mine, it's a beautiful watch. I love it. Gold isn't too much and rivet bracelet with TFit gives it a more depth that a smooth Rolex band.
Bought this last month, absolutely love it. Gold edged hands and hour markers make it really stand out against the mat dial.
Bought mine when it came out, i love it, the colors are spot on for me. Been a perfect travel watch this whole summer :)
Ouch.😊
@@michaeledwardlenzi same with me
My authorized dealer contacted me twice, first to offer the BB58 GMT and then, months later, the Tudor Chronograph Blue.
I tried one on and found the bezel too shiny. Hopefully Tudor will make one with the same colourway as the 41mm GMT or make a thinner 41mm GMT.
It was way better looking when I got it in person. I get what you’re saying about leveling up though. For me this fits when I would like to wear the Rolex GMT II but going somewhere I wouldn’t want to risk it. What are the one or two next for you?
Best tudor is blackbay 41mm burgundy on jubilee.. 🎉
I've got the 41 gmt and love it I just can't believe you give it back
He tends to give back or sell his best watches…
In my opinion 41 looks better as long as your wrist is wide enough.
You are most definitely a collector. There are many multi-themed collections out there. Even 1 watch per brand is a type of collection...
Good vid BTW. 👌
So is that piece a pre owned product now.
I agree with you Andy - if you are looking to go up a level for the next purchase, you don't need the Tudor, especially as you already have the GS
Thank you!
Possibly, but Tudor is still evolving. I guess there would have been a donor movement out there at the time, but their plan was to do more in house.
The smaller crown looks a bit odd on video at least. A halfway point between this size and the old would be the sweet spot for me I think?
Andy, always enjoy your thought process and your delivery. Last week my Rolex AD offered me the new gold/steel GMT on the two tone jubilee. I never thought I would buy a two tone and this watch was not on my radar. Wife comes over and says it looks great, it’s different from anything you have and you should get it. I did and I don’t regret it. It’s really a stunning watch when you see it in the metal .
I may save for the root beer. I fancy a bit of gold now. It’s time.
If the root beer was on a jubilee I would be interested. The jubilee sold me on the two tone yellow gold and the black/grey bezel.
what do you think about the Longines new 39mm Zulu Time Titanium? love to hear whats your take on that Andy 🙂
Not seen one in person. Maybe I'll let my son run this as a potential first watch.
I prefer an 8 ml crown ,thick crown all day long .
TBH, I didn't want to hang around and ask. I suspect they can get a new warranty card as the watch is back in the window as new.
Did you actually wear it before you returned it? That’s impressive from Tudor if so.
I might have done the same thing mate. One thing’s for sure though, my wife would NEVER encourage me to “just buy the watch”. 😅
Watch Dives doing some cool pieces- I wouldn't be surprised if they are San Martin's secret budget spin off.
Gosh I can relate to two parts so much. The tfit being no use as I'm between link sizes (41 diver), and the desire to 'aspire' as I have an almost there collection, killing me to save and wait for pieces that will really add something.
Why not also do the review of SEIKO SPB 453 SIR❤😊
"It's a quartz"... continues to compare on price... give me a break
I also prefer the older crown, 12 o'clock triangle and 6 o'clock text
Sorry to hear this watch didn't work out for you! I would love to get my hands on the 'Captain Picard' someday! Would have been amazing if they launched this with a 5-link bracelet...
so you bought it, reviewed and returned it? quite interesting hehe
Didn't you return a GS?
A great story from a gent who was honest with himself!!
I am eyeing up a Yema as I’m drawn to micro rotors. Agree on the fun aspect to.
Cheers Udo
Big thank you for side by side comparison.
It was 50:50, but it was the right thing to return it. I did like it in the shop, it just lost its lustre when I got it home. One of those things.
They took it back with no issues?
No issues. I guess they can obtain a new warranty card.
This was the watch I wanted forever. After having a 58’and wanting a gmt version, I went it to try it on expecting to walk out with it. What put me off? There is too much gold IMO.
You have a special lady Andy...... I agree with your sentiments.... The bb58 gmt is a beautiful watch.... But it's also not for me
Owned a few Tudor’s and they always leave me feeling a bit hollow and like I’ve bought a homage rather than the real thing.
I tried this watch, like it a lot. But, I'm still hoping a pepsi version and don't plan to buy any new watch this year.
my problem with this watch is 1) the color combo 2) the bezel action feels like a diver bezel not gmt.
I would one as they do look nice , but I want a Rolex GMT and I know I would look at the Tudor and just regret it every time I looked at it as it would delay my getting the watch I really want
I think the indices look smaller too
Too gold toned for my taste. Lovely that they have the return policy.
Congrats! You've finally reached the next level of watch collecting.
I assumed if you buy a grand Seiko, even lightly used it would look quite scratched due to the polishing. Is this not the case?
@@jamesminshall4601 I buy them in mint condition, so they have no scratches when I buy them. Admittedly, I baby the watches after purchase, so they still look new.
@@sensible202 lol
I like the Tudor watches in general, but two things really annoy me, well maybe three. The first is the jungle of models that is very similar but with small differences that I never get my head around to understand, with Rolex the differences between the models are much more logical and easier to recognise. Second there is the snowflake hands, I find them awkward and not sleek and elegant like they should be, thirdly I also find that many of them are too thick. I have had several Tudors, now I only have two I think, they are older models, one from 1962 and another from 1999, they don’t have the dreaded snow flake hands and they look elegant, not too thick either.
This is a new low😵💫
Selling on eBay for £3300 new or best offer. I love a grand Seiko but your sells less than £1900 on the secondary market and I think the price is reflective of the difference in the watches. While the gmt is not for you, I don’t think you can compare both watches. I once spent £15k on a root beer gmt Rolex and ended up taking it back. I tried to justify it to myself by saying it was too flashy and I had other watches. The truth is, it was a large amount of money that I could do better things with.
wish they made the GMT hand red
It suited you, better than your other watches
lucky Man! My wife told me if i bought another watch she would stab me!
😅
@@stevesmith7997 Haha, remember wounds does heal!

Average size wrist is actually 7.5 inch, I know I was surprised too.
So buyers remorse then.
Bit off returning it as you had second thoughts.
Stick a jubilee on it, swap the horrible Matt black (grey) dial for gloss, remove all the gold gilt and you have a winner
😂
And get rid of the ugly colors on the insert. Blue and red or black and red or whatever will work. Not whatever that burnt red color is.
The black bay 58 GMT didn’t offer anything above the GS quartz GMT?😂 right…
Having tried both watches on and owning one of them watches I don’t really think the difference is enormous. the sekio is as well finished as anything that Rolex make but the bracelet and clasp is not as good.
I bought a bag of popcorn from walmart. i didnt like it so i returned it.
I think you were wise to return it, just too slab sided. I do think if one is to get a GMT the Rolex is the way to go. Yes it's more expensive but it's so much more of a watch - and as you say you want to level up, it was not the right watch for you.
When I first saw that you gave it back, I thought you were bonkers, it is an amazing watch! But I get your explanation. A bit.😅
Ich finde die Uhr wunderbar. Aus diesem Grund habe ich sie mir auch gekauft. Und ich musste nicht meine Frau um Erlaubnis fragen...
