I love the retro black-gilt combinations, amd this one is one of my grials. I own a Maen Hudson Honeycomb and I´m in love with it, always looking to my wrist.
Early July '24, I saw this watch in the window of a random AD in Germany I never visited before, I entered the store, I bought it, left the store with the watch on my wrist a Tudor "Born to dare" cap, all in less than 15 minutes. I never felt so good and lucky ever before. I'll visit that AD again.
I think it looks great, I'd spend $2500 on a used BB Pro or GMT, enjoy it for a year or 2 and flip it for one of these when their sub 3k a year or 2 from now. Get to try both and avoid the 2k depreciation hit.
Yesterday i walked in to my local AD. They told me they got 2 BB58 GMT in the night before and sold one same day. They brought out the 2nd one they had in stock and i ended up buying it. I had no problem trying to buy it. In fact he convinced me to buy this over the pelagos 39. Mind you this was my first purchase at this AD. (Also my first luxury watch purchase) Did i get lucky that they sold me this wihe no previous purchase history?
It looks nice enough, there's been no moaning about thickness among reviewers, the date window works, the T-fit clasp is a clear winner. However the monochrome is the one that stands out for me, or an Pelagos FXD if we're sticking with Tudor. Overall, not top of my shopping list but a very respectable watch. Thanks Jody.
Cant believe i purchased a 39mm watch. Usaually where ny 43 mm Seadweller with a 18,5 cm wrist. This is a great Tudor off 1 second a week. Wears fantastic. Not many getting delivered to the AD's yet though.
Awesome video video Jody! I received my burgundy bezel Black Bay 41 with the five link bracelet (wink wink) this past September on holiday in NYC. I remember when these were the new hot item. When I looked on Chrono24 recently, most of these are selling for about $800 less than retail. This was a graduation gift from my amazing wife for earning my masters degree so I don't care about the drop in price. Just wanted to point out that you regardless of price; you should get the watch that speaks to you.
Been wearing this a few weeks now. Just love the clasp. So nice to easily adjust it thru out the hot summer day. The gilt looks better and less loud in person. Coke color bezel also looks fantastic in person. Not red not burgundy. Blood red maybe?
I love this watch! Think it is almost perfect, almost... just imagine how good this watch would look on the five link bracelet... and can we dream about a full gold Concorde version of this?
Picked this up at an AD in Bath a couple of weeks ago, definitely an elective sale on their part at this stage, and I do have a good spend history there, but I still had to nudge them to “check” they had one out back. All sized & wrapped up for Christmas.

Love Tudor but I'm not really a GMT person. My Tudor preference is the Black Bay M79230B-0008 41mm with the white hand set, and matt blue anodised aluminium Bezel insert for a little color. I Prefer the slightly bigger size. Considering at the moment my daily is a Duro. STILL has the retro signed crown with the Tudor rose, Domed sapphire crystal, and Rivet bracelet... A modern / retro look(LoL), the best of both worlds. Although I have to admit I do like the jubilee bracelet on their newest BB of the same size(41mm)
My AD texted me this week and I bought this watch. The features are nice for the price. I normally don’t like gold, but it looks great on this watch. It’s a little thicker than my blue bb 58, but the little extra height really shows the dial and bezel nicely. People don’t like the rivets on the bracelet, but when you wear the watch you don’t see them at all. Tudor would save a little money by not putting this feature on the links. Go figure.
Good video, I’ve had it on wrist at a Tudor event ran by my AD, I preferred it on the rubber. Regarding the T fit it does not have the same adjustment as the Rolex Glidelock. I have a BB pro and a Sub, the sub has double the range of adjustment. Nearly 2cm
BB Pro owner with no plans to swap for this, although it is beautiful. I’m aware that the thickness difference between models is due to the movement, and I know that thinner movements are less robust, is that the case here? Is the BB Pro movement more robust? I’ve no idea but wonder what a watchmaker would say. All the best.
Tried on this watch yesterday for the first time. Agree with everything you said, wears great but the colour choices (and also the gloss bezel) are not my cup of tea. I'll be sticking with my BB58 blue and BBPro for now, unless they release an opaline dial pepsi in the same size 👀
I love this watch, but I prefer the Root Beer color. I still have no use for a GMT. My Seiko Astron remains the best travel watch, and it has the best finished titanium I have seen outside of Grand Seiko. I would love if you reviewed the Seiko SPB240. I bought one recently, and I cannot stop wearing it. The watch is stunning.
That sounds more like a Rolex GMT master II Pepsi. Would be too similar to it and would put Tudor as a brand more in the direction of poor man’s Rolex again. Which they aren’t anymore, they are their own thing and have their own designs and color combinations.
I think it’s an incredible watch. I’ve owned it for about 3 weeks but if I’m honestly im not absolutely in love with it. It is a near perfect watch but I’m still getting used to the gilt. It’s the only thing that makes me second guess the purchase.
I've been slow to get back on the Tudor GMT train after my original one had the dreaded date issue, but this one is definitely gonna be on my wrist. If the nightmare Aussie supply ever picks up, that is..
I was dead set on the Pro until this released. Was initially quite put off by the gilt but it's growing on me. That being said I still want to see what other colours Tudor cooks up.

Lovely watches, would be hard to decide between that, the BB58 and Pelagos 39. I don't have a need for GMT generally and like the simplicity of no date (ease of setting automatics). So the BB58 for a more luxury heritage look but probably go for the titanium Pelagos, for a nononsense modern tooly look, excellent at a glance legibility and the t-fit clasp. Glad they aren't any thicker, already on the limit. I think a near new one down the track for $4k would be nice.
Finally got a video of this watch from you jody! Been trying to get one of these but have been very difficult! . Looks really good! Would you choose this or the zulu time 39mm?
I love the size of this one. Fortunately for my wallet, I don't love the coke bezel and gilt accents and handset; I'm a big fan of the clean Pepsi bezel with stainless steel hands and accents, which isn't available in this form factor for now. Which means I'll stick with my original Black Bay GMT. Awesome piece though, I'm glad to see it from Tudor!
When you move the bezel it just doesn’t making that beautiful click the regular 58 41 mm Tuder makes. It was a hard no for me, also I just could not get use to it being a 39 mm. It looks amazing, just could not get use to it.
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!

I had one on order as soon as I saw it released but didn't take it when I tried it on. Wears way too small for me. I have a BB Pro that I unexpectedly still prefer.

Available in windows now, to the chagrin of the flippers and hype merchants. I can see prices of the former darling watches used to gouge and rip from actual collectors are collapsing too. Oh no!
If they make a blue one I’ll be buying it. I’m not a huge fan of the gold accents. Definitely my favorite Tudor in the lineup along with the submariner. Thank goodness they fixed that thick case.
Great Review, stunning watch. Cheers Jody
Available in windows now, to the chagrin of the flippers and hype merchants. I can see prices of the former darling watches used to gouge and rip from actual collectors are collapsing too. Oh no!
MaMaCoo watch are the best, I say this from experience.
If they make a blue one I’ll be buying it. I’m not a huge fan of the gold accents. And I wish they did the GMT master chronometer typography differently, the contrast between the very short GMT and very long master chronometer text is unbalanced
Right now I’ve seen this watch in a few stores waiting to be sold, so they are available.
If I didn’t have the hydroconquest gmt I would buy this. I may still buy one anyway.
Damn man you just created a new meme with tyrion lanister
