- Our twelth mountain of twelve months of mountains and it was a hard one. We headed back to where we started twelve months ago in the Ogwen valley to climb Y Garn.
The rain didn't stop our fun but we soon realised the wind was just too high to continue safely.

Good call! Risking injury and even just not enjoying the experience is never worth it. As my mother always said, the best climbers don't always reach the summit, but they always make it back home.
Great advice from your mother. We always listen to our gut and the group. Thanks for watching
Thank God everyone is safe and not injured especially coming down from that wet and icy rocky slope.
We were very careful and the spikes were a must on any winter walk. Thanks for watching.
Think I would have bailed at Llyn Idwal see the waves crashing in, 😂
Yeah we were thinking the same but thought we would see. Some people that made it further than us said they had to go on all fours. Thanks for watching
Great vid 👏 We abandoned a summit of Moel Siabod yesterday, no point risking anything and ended up having a really enjoyable (albeit wet!!) camp half way down. Our pooch wasn’t impressed with the weather either 😂
You're right, what's the point in taking the risk I'm sure you had a great evening minus the wet and moaning pooch. Thanks for watching hope you get back up there soon.
That was superb Gaz. I do love a good storm or weather that blows right through you. I reckon you did the right thing - wet, cold and wind is a proper mix that can be dangerous for to long. But wow do we ever het back down buzzing. the mountains were looking wild. Good going. Mark
We were definitely buzzing on the way back down. Thanks Mark
@@outdoorgaz5 Good to hear of the day. A pleasure.
Always better to be safe than end up as a statistic!
Yeah we knew from the start we may not complete the walk. Thanks for watching.
Good video glad to see you’re still enjoying making them
Thanks Cam. Yeah just need to get out and film a bit more.
Do dogs need to be leashed in that area?
I'd say yes, some sheep and goats in the area. But you'll know your dog best and how they will react.
Wet & Wild.
It was so different form our nice walk in the snow.
@@outdoorgaz5 I'd rather walk it in the freezing snow and ice than wind and rain any time.
If ever proof were needed that "Mad dogs and Englishmen" don't just go out in the midday sun, this was it.
I think you're right although summer (dog?) Didn't have a choice. Thanks for watching
Hi did the quechua mh500 keep you dry😊
Yes this jacket is so good. It's still keeping me dry.
