@@reign6of6e6terror Are you talking about a different video where the possum looks unhealthy? It looks neither cross-eyed or fat tailed to me. I'm sure they've fed it a variety of foods but even the best kept possums never live much after 4 years
I love them and their prehensile tails too. That is another one of my favorite things about them. Oh and their pockets, can't forget about the pockets.
Heard you, yes, made smaller bites. Kindness to a line of beings who rarely have gotten to feel and accept love from us, a species who has transgressed against them historically. Sad he left this world but surely the kindness made it's mark on the spirit of our lives and his. The ones I've cared for over the decades usually found some spontaneous way to show affection, usually when you least expect it: An unsolicited kiss. a passing love bite, or a soulful look into our eyes. You just know....and get it.

They can get big. The canine front teeth are very sharp. Some may get injured on roads & could be mama's with babies in pouch. I love these marsupials. Rescue & rehabilitation for release back to the wild is a very kind thing to do.
@eddiereynoza Steven had a whole room for himself to roam and nest in. This spot he chose as his favorite feeding station. He had a sleeping nest in another spot. I am part of a local rescue/rehab group. Thank you for your comment. I appreciate you.
@@Somethingandtheotherthing Ive had two its so heartbreaking when there gone. My Bam Bam and Chu Chu were loose all over the house and had the whole back yard the dogs and cats miss them a lot you can see Bammm in my videos in the car they went with me everywhere.

@@bethwood8067 Hi. Thank you for your nice comment. I create meal kits and make sure that the diet is a variety each mealtime. Sometimes Steven would also get sardines in water as a special treat. There are so many foods that possums eat. I haven't made videos of all the different foods that I have presented them with. That would be a lot of videos. Lol.

@nona glonuzztis. Thank you for the reminder. 👍 yes, I alternate different foods into the possum diet. I create foods using the "Peter's possum diet" plan. Vegetables are the hardest to get possums to eat so I will often make them into smaller bits and create a goulash. I have another non releasable possum rescue currently, a female. She was wounded by a cat when she was a toddler. I love her dearly.

@DesertScorpionKSA It was planned on purpose to be an extreme close up of the opossum's adorable nose, and loud chewing banana sounds for those that may like asmr. The low lighting is for the opossum's benefit.
@reign6of6e6terror Hello. This was just a snack. His dinners included veggies, like kale, steamed broccoli, shredded chicken, mealworms and crickets. He did not have any broken teeth. He was well cared for and loved very much. I appreciate your comments on the reminder not to feed to many sweet fruits to NR opossums. Do you have one yourself or have cared for one. Do you have experience in opossum rehab?
