can you provide a link for where you purchased the motor? I have a 72 CT90 that the Hi / Lo shift Lever is frozen and occ. jumps out of gear. Motor only has 1700mi so I would assume it has plenty of life yet but may be less expensive to buy new motor than tare apart and replace clutch and gears on this one... great video. If I cannot find a new motor, I will be using your videos to help me get mine up and running. Thank you
Yeah Kevin, it’s not a new engine. I just rebuilt it. I’ve seen the shift drum stopper broken quite a bit on these engines, or the shift star screw loose I’ve seen quite a bit as well. Definitely check that if you’re taking yours apart. I’d pull the cover off of your hi low sub trans and check for corrosion inside there and make sure each piece is moving as it should.
@@TynkaTyme got the sub trans off today and it was just the selector lever was rusted below the o-ring. pounded it out sanded and greased. Works GREAT!! so excited. thanks!
Really glad to see that everything has worked out so well. Thank you for your video.
Just got handed down a 1968 honda ct90 in 9.5/10 condition from my grandparents and I've watched your vids repeat like 3 times alr lol
I appreciate that man!! These are fun bikes, you’re going to love it!
