Hi Ryan, thanks for taking one for the team and glad that you didn't cut your toe! Agree with your view a out the place. I'm sure your hubby had a better stay...take care and looking forward to your next and last chapter of this series!
I’m glad you stayed here so we don’t have to 😂. Appreciate the time taken to film and review. I think we’ll give this one a miss if we are ever in that area of Sweden
im literally just heard about this hotel a day or two ago. The novelty of staying on board would definitely be enough for me! Although it is a bit rough at the edges as you showed. in fact im planning next years strip and suddenly am considering a one night detour to Arlanda just to stay a night in it. I would prefer to fly a 747 and review the flight but I just can't find a flight on one that will fit the itinerary - great review as always sir!
Who else is still flying the 747 besides LH in Europe? Yeah I'm not in a hurry to return to this hotel though. Been there done that, box ticked. Moving on. 😂
@@ryansofly I think it's just, world wide, Lufthansa, Air China, Mahan Air and I think Korean Air that fly 747. No wait - Air Max in Nigeria and Saudia both have 747s reserved for Hajj pilgrims. i was actually looking at flying via Beijing with Air China because they fly Beijing to HK with a 747. however when i got on the site I couldnt find a single flight using the the 747, so perhaps thats discountinued. in Europe its Lufthansa or nuttin. must make a trip to longreach one day i think Qantas have one their in a museum...
i stayed there almost 15 years ago or so. it was to kick off a big trip and went to arlanda to reposition. stayed there a night and shared the room with 2 or 3 people or so. it was.... an experience and i do wonder how much of a nerd i actually am for having done this. it was rather uncomfortable but it was okay. :)
Was thinking this is great… cool once off stay… or a novelty as you mentioned… but that price 😆… I certainly couldn’t fork out that much for what it is. Enjoyed the history about the aircraft 👍
Even though I’m an AV geek. Nope. I won’t stay at this hotel. After watching your video about the condition it’s in and bits of metal sticking out, the location and price. Thank you for sharing your experience at this place.
enjoyed the video, but just to inform you there is a wc in the wheelhouse rooms just no shower facility. found you comments a bit strange to be honest, i dont agree about taking the novelty out of the stay. surely you want to keep that in mind before booking after all this is listed as a hostel accommodation. but its your opinion and i have subscribed
It is a fun idea, but the reality would not work for me. No thanks! Mind you, I am not totally opposed to 'fun' hotels. I would like to spend a night at JFKs TWA hotel and definitely a couple of nights on board the old Queen Mary in LA, even if it is, I am told, inconveniently located. Thank you for the video!
Hey Ryan......BIG no.... think I will give this one a miss....very expensive for what you get....you could have stayed in a nicer hotel for the price... it looks very run down and should be condemned... glad your little toe wasnt worse than it was... take care
Hey Ryan, not withstanding the cost, I think even a walk through, would be sufficient for the hardiest of enthusiasts. I give it a thumbs down, but great info as usual
No thank you from me Ryan. Sleep is very important and if you are paying to be sleep deprived, almost cut yourself and have to share a loo then that is a definition of stupidity. This is one of the few 'Try never and never again' in the world.

Absolutely! Hahaha that's why I do these videos and give my honest reviews despite the novelty factor.

It was an experience, to say the least. 😂

@AndysWorldJourneys I saw the KE 748 in Taipei Taoyuan last week.

This is a bucket list item to be ticked, and never repeated again. 😂

Hahaha yes, it was almost a hundred bucks more than the Sheraton we checked out of in Stockholm!

No worries... It's something I had to try though. Not in a hurry to return. 😁
@@ryansofly I’m happy you did. For experience
Hi Ryan another travel vlogger who went to the hotel said the same thing to you and they went in Winter!
Oh really now!

Ah thanks for the info!
In regards to slapping tyres. Go to Schipol airport Amsterdam and you can see a rear main gear from a MD11 set there.
Ah yes! That wheel! Need to make my way to AMS soon.
@@ryansofly I should send you a photo
Photo just sent. I delivered as promised 😂
@@Iwishiwasflying yes received! Bedankt!

Yeah this is something I've struck off my list, and don't have to do it again.

Yeah, ticked the box and won't do it again.

Indeed, don't have to do it again.
