Do you know her background? Could she maybe have a hidden medical problem that can’t be seen? She could be doing absolutely the best that she can. She travels the world, very educated and personable, a great addition wherever she goes. She’s got heart ♥️…hard to find in these times. Maybe give her some grace, besides she was doing a lot more than plugging Nike, which btw is an all inclusive company. They do athletic wear and shoes and sponsor the para-Olympics, special Olympics etc….
Too bad when asked if anyone is "doing" anything about it she couldn't say "yeah, Portland does everything they can to help the homeless and that is why the homeless come here." She made Portland look bad, when really, they care a lot (to quote Faith No More). "The city's spending on homelessness reached $3.5 billion in FY 2023."
@@donnabert You mean they wasted 3.5 billion in 2023. That money is doing nothing but making everything worse. Instead of using it to create options for people to get jobs and homes they just hand it out to the addicts and mentally ill people to do whatever they want with it. What do you think happens if you give money to a crack addict?
@@donnabertweak people like you are a major reason all our major cities are in such awful shape. They care a lot? Cool. How about fixing the problem instead of throwing endless money at it?
That's how I feel too. I live about 8 min. north of Nike, so it's cool to see this area through a different lens, plus I've never actually been on the Nike campus, so it was great to get a tour.
Isn't Kim lovely? How nice of her to show you around beautiful Portland. I love the Pacific Northwest, I think it's the most beautiful region of the US.
Kim is an absolute legend. Much love to her and America for taking care of Our New Zealand family and for being excellent host during their visit... Much love to U.S.A from your New Zealand brother ❤😊
Denz cracks me up, it’s great to see y’all’s kids grow. I know everyone is telling you this, but being fortunate enough to travel across America is something I did with my family just like this when I was their age. These memories are forever. It’s outstanding you are doing this for your family. 🇺🇸🇳🇿 Really one of the best things you can do for them. I think back and smile every time. 🙂
Thank you so much for showing our beautiful town in a proper light! Portland has gotten a bad wrap in the media for many reasons, but the majority of them stem from so many people wanting to come and live here. Oregon is truly one of the most beautiful states in the Nation.
Kim is a legend! Gracious host and quite a tour guide. Seeing you all have so much fun at the MLS game was awesome. Hope you can attend an NFL game in the future.

Beaverton was where i was raised and i know for a fact its one of the best cities in the USA . Im so glad yall were able to visit my city!!! I currently live in coos bay but Beaverton will always be a part of me!
We visited Beaverton because there is a company that manufactures Physics equipment for universities around the world. My husband's school uses their products. I got to see their original Apple computers. A very progressive company (OK it's Oregone, what else). After our visit we went to the Beaverton Taco Time and it as the worst Taco Time I've experienced. *sigh* I don't understand how they just let that one go. I love Taco Time so much. Beaverton, a mixed review : )
I work right across from Providence Park and live a few blocks away. So glad you got to experience our beautiful city and state. We like to complain here, but we truly are lucky to live where we live.
Just something random department checking in. Gotta love Portland and the Timbers. While they're eating nachos before the national anthem, the Grateful Deads Fire on the Mountain can be heard (for a Deadhead that Bass line is unmistakable even through all the ambient noise), cranked loud on the P.A. even a bit of a Jerry solo and sounds like fans singing along. Love it. Keep Portland Weird!
Kim you are an amazing person. Thank you for taking great care of YNZ Family!! You are a legend. What a great experience had by all. I have always been a Nike fan as far back as highschool when our team basketball shoes were Air Force One’s . Awesome video👊
So happy you enjoyed Portland and were able to enjoy a Timbers game. We do love our Timbers here! I'm a longtime fan clear back to the 80's. Portlanders welcome you back anytime! Portland used to have a bigger homeless problem than it does now. They have gone great lengths to clean up the city and are building 'villages' for the homeless to help take care of the problem. The city has also reversed a law regarding legal drug use and that is helping clear a lot of homeless and drug addicts out of Portland.
I was worried they were going to see a ton of homelessness since it said they were in Portland. I still see a lot of to and from work everyday. Still seems to be a long way to go to really get it cleaned up.
@@PtxXtp I feel it's much better in the downtown core and also better in areas of SE. I just don't see it like it was 2-3 years ago. They're working on it1

Very nice to see people visit our area and see the places that make it special and not spend all their energy on the few problem areas. Every major city has them if you know where to look. Up and down the pacific coast are a staggering number of homeless by choice and homeless who were brought here by their previous city giving them a bus ticket and selling them a promise of a better life instead of giving them the assistance they needed. I remember finding your original channel (kiwi kicker) in 2020 Sam, while recuperating from hip replacement surgery. Right from the get go I knew your channel was something special. Your interest in American sports and and American culture made me happy. Baseball, basketball, boxing (admittedly not solely American) and especially football. And before the comments start, Yes, basketball and baseball were originally conceived in Canada and football was inspired by soccer and rugby. But we perfected them. 😂😂😂 You being a rugby fan and player, I understand your football interest. One topic I always wish you would react to was Glen "Pop" Warner. He was the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh and innovated a lot of plays and rules in football. The Pop Warner football league was the introduction to football for a lot of kids. I myself first experienced playing football by participating in the Pop Warner punt, pass and kick competition. I realized pretty quickly that I wasn't built to be a kicker or a quarterback. I was built to get dirty on the front line. I hope someday you'll do a reaction to Pop Warner, his legacy and the Pop Warner football league and the future young players and stars who started their love of the game there.

Can't wipe that smile off your face, eh Sam? I new Nike headquartered in Portland but I didn't know it was this huge compound! Too cool. Did I see someone wearing a Reebox shirt in Nikiland? Your hostess was one in a million, a real treasure.
I've worked at the HQ for the past decade off and on- Ironically had an interview yesterday to go back again. The best part is there are quite a few employees that are ex- pro athletes, I would swim with some ex-Olympians who were just doing their daily workout, and run with some of them during Nike's weekly track workouts.
I love your clip ad ins! And from one of my favorite silly movies. I've noticed that you seem especially partial to using dumb and dumber cameo clips. That makes me happy. It's one of my guilty pleasure movies.

Loved having the personal tour guide like Kim & having the insider information. Great video
😍💜🙏👟🌲⚽️🏀🏈⚾️🏐🏉🥎🎾
As soon as I saw the "Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup" Truck , There was NO WAY Denzie was looking at anything else.. LOL
And God Bless You Kim , for being so gracious and wonderful.
Perfect for a rainy day.
Wasn’t raining that day, smh
omg, you guys came here to Portland? i love it!
What an amazing time you had in Portland. Kim was the perfect host for you. Thanks for another great video. 👏🏻🙏🏻
We watch you all the time and you were literally 5 minutes from us by Nike. Have family that works there. Squirt is my go to soda if I’m going to drink soda. The crepes at the food carts are great.
What a wonderful host! And Oregon and rain! Beautiful state but too rainy for me.
I've been waiting for this! I am in Vancouver Washington which is considered a suburb of Portland, just across the river !
Same here! Hazel Dell🎄⛄❄️❤️
My aunt and uncle live there. They get a bit pissy about Portland. lol
And meth problems in small towns. No place is perfect but I would rather live in a big city
Washougal here 🎉
@@CG68810 Yeah people are deluding themselves if they think there's no drug use in small towns.
Thank you for sharing all your experiences! Been enjoying it!
Pacfic Northwest. Hope you have a great time driving through Portland
I just started watching you guys and saw your reactions to the USA military and stuff. being American, I thought it was cool to watch your reactions on America. its awesome that you guys made it here! im definitely going to watch your new vids. you guys are my favorite family channel and are just so wholesome which is just what I need to cool my nerves after a day of school. hope yall continue to have an awesome trip, stay safe 😁👍
I used to work at the Stephanie Inn in Cannon Beach ...Heck I live in corvallis. If I'd known you were coming I would have baked you a cake❤
Small world! I used to live in Seaside, worked at Haystack Resort🩵 and in Astoria at Clementine's B&B. 😊🧡 Also, delivered the Daily Astorian Newspaper to "the Goonie House" when I had paper routes. 😂
Vancouver, Wa. now🎄
@HeidisHereAndThere ooooh! Spent Thanksgiving at clementine b&b in 2002! Lovely lovely place 💕 we've been in Portland & now Gresham since 2001.
So happy to see you in my town (Beaverton) and spending time in Portland. I was born and raised in this area and I sometimes forget to stop and enjoy my surroundings
Great job on the video Sam. Nike Kim was an amazing host. 👍
Kim was an absolute fabulous host! Simply amazing and so kind that was filled with a lot of heart (ya did good Kim). Fun Stuff! 💞
the Tour of the NIKE World HQ was cool to see 👟
I love your clip ad ins! And from one of my favorite silly movies. I've noticed that you seem especially partial to using dumb and dumber cameo clips. That makes me happy. It's one of my guilty pleasure movies.
The Goonies was on my tv yesterday and I was like just remembered you guys visited the actual town
You were in my hometown!! I live just north of Portland in Vancouver, Wa these days. Glad you had such a good host and got to see quite a bit of Portland.
Yae!! Been waiting for new video... love the family love 💖... reminds me when I was a kid..my mom and dad would take my little brother and I on amazing camping adventures... I'm from Santa Monica CA. I was able to see the big sequoias too! 💖✌️
