I was more interested in the ratchet breaker bar
Thats on the channel also, we did that on tool time Tuesday.
Thats a ratchet extension im pretty sure😊
@@killingtime669Nah, looks like the Quinn breaker bar ratcheting adapter. There are other companies like Titan, Micheal Pro, PT, etc that make them as well.
you do not want a ratcheting breaker bar, tehre is a reason they aren't a thing. It''s slip and you'll bash your knuckkles or face in a very bad way
The ratcheting socket is some big brain activity
I hope to God I'm not the only one that takes an impact to press.
Im sure your not, I just never bought a good one.
😂 lol always! Only way to go bro! Impact gun anyday of ratchet or breaker bar
An impact is actually the correct way, it doesn’t side load the press which causes them to warp. Go to your local parts store and lay the rental press they have on the counter…bet it’s not flat
@@thatrebelboy48 really does great job. Bang of impact and pry motion of tool works like butter. Would use harborfreight type puller as I have blown one of those up lol but so would 2 foot ratchet anyhoe
Anyone who would be using a press to remove a ball joint, probably has done it before & knows how! But hey, thanks for demonstrating it anyway!
Thanks? I appreciate you viewing the channel.
1) I don't do many ball joints.....
2) I have two of these C-clamp presses (OTCs)
3) They well greased....
4) I use and impact gun. If one breaks, I have another and would switch to breaker bars...
Oh, I have a ratcheting breaker bar by Proto (If I remember correctly). Works well enough but yeah, there are days were I think it will break. I do have an older craftsman - just in case.
i like all the power you get on that swivvely chair (;
Its all in your footing. Thanks for viewing the channel.
The name of this video should've been. "Rachet Breaker Bar" that was much more interesting lol🤷🏽♂️
Thanks I actually like that name
@@JeepingMo yes sir I was definitely serious about it. Your views will definitely go up to🫱🏻🫲🏾
Grease on threads will keep the tool from galling AND make the operation easier. Breaker bar inserted in the ratchet device is the same as a long handle ratchet, 😂.
Except that it doesn't break the expensive ratchet.
Work smarter not harder right haha
Dope as hell, can we get one on the top one now😭
You might need to use some heat
Nice tutorial, thanks.
Coat the the new joints with anti seize then press them in....next time you have to replace them will be way easier
I totally agree. Thanks for viewing
Like the color.
That breaker bar thou
You're not a man unless you own a breaker bar son
I fond it quicker to heat it up and smack it with a 3lb maul. 3-4 walks and it's out.
How about if you skew up and press the old ball joint out the wrong way how do I remove the sleeve from the control arm ?
It’s exponentially easier if you use an impact 😂
Hi, I always use my cordless impact for that, I let the tools do the work and my experience works the tools, this bar your using is to much work for me,
If you tighten the screw, then hit the head of it with a hammer it makes it easier and less stress on the threads. Just repeat a few times and you're done.
Thanks for the suggestion , hope you like the content.
¡Gracias!
Thank you for the supper thanks 🙏
@@JeepingMo I never replaced ball joints before, I'm a little scared, but somehow I will do it, you make it look so easy, 😁👍
@@ultramanxk7 just takes it slow, not a hard job.
Amazon has tons of these for 40/50$
Turn breaker bar into ratchet🤯
Lot of trust for a sliver socket lol
It is. Thanks for viewing
Air hammer the old ones out
How did you get the top ball joint off to fit that into place tho
I used the same press, thanks for viewing
Is this a sponsored training video😂.... ball joints get stupid tough!
No i wish it was, i could use some sponsorship.😂🤔🤔
Good video but I beat mine up out with a framin hammer…Then again,I live in Gulf Shores,Alabama!!
~ROLL TIDE~
Rust always sucks. Did they go back in ok. Thanks for viewing.
A 1/2 impact works better than the breaker bar🤣
Yes it does, i like to feel if it’s breaking free.
@@JeepingMo to each his own however ya feel as long as the job gets done!
I use a BFH just saying
Do you have a video of you using heat in the top one
I barely heated it up, so I don’t think I showed that. It didn’t take much.
When putting new BJ inn put grease on it or metal to metal only ?
I use anti-seize thanks for the question and viewing.
How do you put it back on?
Here is the full video, this should help. Replace Your ball joints/ HD Balljoints.

Impact?
Yes but i like to feel what is going on, thanks for viewing
Where did your kit come from...I got one from ebay but it lost its shape torque'n my ball joint ..need the real deal....out is easy going in is the problem
It was rented from Oreilly’s. Most chain auto parts places will rent them at no cost. Let me know how the change goes. Thanks for the question.
Do you know if you push really hard with your thumb that we usually pop right out?
Ill try that next time
Lmao I dunno who is trolling who
How did you do the upper
Its the same. You just do it first. Thanks for viewing
Mine isn't budging....
You can try heating the C around the ball joint
I know a shop that will do it for 15 dlls, save me a nightmare
okay so how do you install it
There is a full install on the channel also. Thanks
ratcheting breaker bar is asking for it, good way to lose some teeth
Yea do NOT put that threaded bolt through there. You will damage the seat for the upper ball joint. Then the new ball joint will vibrate until it can wiggle around and ruin your axle.
I can't put my balls that close to something with so much tension and pressure that could pop or break or anything like that
Valid point 😂😂. Thanks for viewing
ball joint
You mean Press
It was a play on words.
I am not taking a breaker bar to by balls!!!!!
Why does it seem like there wouldn't be all that room if this was a real world scenario. Like actually on the car
Its the same room in the jeep. The C’s stick out into the wheel area.
Ball joints are my least favorite thing to replace
Definitely definitely not high on my list, either, thanks for viewing
That one of them cheap amazon ball joint kits? I dont want to spend a shit ton of money on a press kit as i wasn’t expecting to replace the ball joints and a couple other suspension components. The $50ish dollar up to like $100 amazon ones are all the same and all broke/bent on the first ball joint or teo according to the reviews. But we all know people are stupid, so maybe they tried without any sort of penetrating oil/heat?
It’s O’Reilly’s rental you pay nothing for. Thanks for viewing.
Why does this video keep popping up in my feed? Plz stop. What does pass the lower ball joints even mean? What is going on
Its a video on changing ball joints. I don’t control the feed
Should never heat up a ball joint, seen them explode like a grenade
I agree. You heat the C, that way it can expand. Thanks for viewing.
Terrible kit. Doesnt work on most things.
There is a reason snapon one costs 7 bills and has way more pieces...
I don’t totally disagree, I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money on that when I could rent and make it work. Thanks for reviewing the channel. Hope you like the other continent.
Okay I know not everyone can afford him pics and not everyone has impact buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut 🤷🏿
Are you asking why I’m not using an impact? If so I have one i use for tires. But i am a little old school. Thanks for the question and viewing.
@@JeepingMo basically yes, I'm bothered more now that I didn't proof read my comment 😂🤣 Keep wrenchin my friend✊🏾💪🏾✊🏾💪🏾
