This is across from my house. The house belonged to Karl and Ruth Theel (pictured in the video) and we took our kids to Kiddieland when they were little.
I actually go to that bowling alley all the time because I do leagues there and I always see Rex even when I’m not there because I’m in the neighborhood next to the bowling alley my aunt and uncle work there and my aunt is the one who painted the pin she loves doing arts and crafts she gave me a necklace with a replica of the painted pin and they put a Christmas hat on him every year for Christmas and they put a mask on him during the pandemic
Oh my gosh that’s so cool! We were so happy when we walked in and saw that painted pin, it’s such a clever and well-done piece of art, you can’t not smile when you see that walking in. And that’s so funny that they dress him up for different occasions, too! Thanks for sharing your part of the Rex story with us! 😃
It’s is a lot of fun to go bowling there and the pin is a very cool thing that my aunt painted and and it’s cool that my aunt gave me a necklace of the mini version of the pin I have a lot of fun every time I go there bowling is my type of sport to do it’s cool to see Rex still there and the fact the history is cool and they kept him I hope that he still stays and keep welcoming the people into the heartland of Kansas
Oh poor Rex ... what he endured after his fun Kiddieland days! Glad to see he is once again happy. Thanks for another enjoyable video!
Yeah he's been through a lot! But it seems like he's got a happy home at Crown Lanes for many years to come! Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks! We will!
Loved the latest video as usual. So glad they saved Rex. Also love the Rex bowling pin.
Thanks for watching! Yeah we love the bowling pin, it’s so well done.
I'm hoping to go to Kansas this fall... will drop by and say hello to Rex
That's awesome! He's really right over the state line, kinda the whole state's unofficial greeter.
