Every map in mp8 is amazing
I'd like to see Paper Mario as a driver, and you could have a race course inspired by pop up books to go with him.
As for alternate costumes, Luigi actually has a good election from Luigi's mansion 3, plus there's Gooigi as his potential version of Metal Mario.
Wario could also get a collection of costumes from the Wario Land series and Master of Disguise.
Peach now has costume options from Showtime.
Since we see Cranky Kong riding a motorcycle in the Mario movie, I'd love to see him in the next Mario Kart game.

I watched all of them when it came out but ima watch it again here, i love the course ideas though.
I feel like Captain Toad/Toadette being separate characters makes more sense, because in the games, their backpacks weigh them down so much that they can’t jump, meaning they’d likely be in the medium weight or even heavy weight class.
We NEED level 1-1 from the original 1985 Mario, it's so iconic, and the characters could be turned into 2d sprites
What if there’s new collaboration racers and vehicles and tracks based on franchises from Sega, capcom, namco Bandai, Konami, Hudson soft, Sanrio and SNK in Mario kart 9? Imagine bomberman, master Higgins, bonk the caveman, Hatsune Miku, ryu, ken, palico, monster hunter, sir Arthur, mega man, firebrand, Pac-Man, Athena, terry, and more racing alongside Mario and friends? Imagine rush as a vehicle, and how about the rath of meow tank?

Regarding costumes, I thought thoroughly about it, and I mostly figured it out.
Basically, you'd get 3 sections and a select bottom. Characters like Mario would have a costume section and a power-up section with costumes not changing the stats, and power-ups changing your stats, and Toads and Yoshis would have a color section.
I'll explain with multiple examples.
Mario and Luigi would have costumes and power-ups, but both are mutually exclusive. If you choose a power-up, that overides the costume and vice-versa.
Luigi is special because he can use alternative colors from Luigi's Mansion multi-player mode
Toads, however, could use colored variants of costumes and power-ups
For a list of power-ups, we'd have : Fire Flower, Ice Flower, Bubble Flower, Gold Flower, Tanuki Leaf, Super Bell, Squirrel Acorn, Penguin Suit and Elephant Fruit
Additionally, I added the Super Pacifier to create baby versions of those characters and also Builder Hammer and Super Pickaxe for Mario Maker Builder and Explorers from the captain crew
For the non-Mario characters, we can easily follow similar patterns with Link capable of using multiple Links as costumes and alternate tunic for each Link. Villagers would have a select amount of customization, and Inklings would be just the same because both Animal Crossing and Splatoon have an inherent interest in fashion, so it's always right to push their cosmetics forward. Isabelle herself has her fair share of alternative outfits. In ACNL, she had a Summer and Winter outfit as well as events and casual outfits and some more added in ACHHD. And even some more with ACNH.
Also wow "Yeukuda" is the most American prononciation ever given to Yukata and Peach has a Boo mask.

One day, bob bomb factory a track where bob bombs are made but an accident happends and in lap 3 the stage starts to crumble and you take an alternative path were you escape the factory while bob bombs explode on you and you finish the race by escaping, will be a reality one day
I was actually thinking of a Minecraft one, the characters being Steve and Alex, the stage being the biomes you pass throughout the stage but if you really want to get classy then add the nether or stronghold so they can go to the end, the kart being the minecart, the wheels being clocks and the glider being the elytra, the items should be the potion of speed and leaping, the tnt and a crossbow with arrows, well,the skins? They should be the ones from smash BUT remember the Mario mash up world and skins on the switch? Add those skins to the characters, it would be awesome. Also remember when you said lakitu doesn’t have a variant except the one from Mario kart tour? What about the electric king Lakitu from super Mario galaxy two, would be awesome.
How about a track that take place in a room with plenty of music instruments like a giant piano. I mean the drivers should be a small size.
How about something that is well known such as the Shooting Star Bike from Wii and the Yoshi Egg kart from DS.

actually, you said that we have never seen a blue shell koopa before the film but in New super mario bros, in the multiplayer mod, in the snow map, they are a koopa with a blue shell ! And in mario odyssey and mario kart tour, they are blue koopa free running
