There have been magical crone characters in the franchise long before the witch that are also more on brand with the magikoopa. Most of the animal enemies are interesting only to their themeing and have precisting counterparts as well. You have mousers that throw bombs rather than just run into you, bloopers that do everything the octopus does and more, and winged enemies a plenty. The three pigs are possibly the most origional since they have a construction worker theming. They dont teally play to this in their moveset though and we have enemies that DO. The Bros. A world full if suckers to fleece who love him depite that always happening seems to be the ideal Wario fantasy. He woudlnt want everything just handed to him but to have the satisfaction of getitng it out of others. He also wouldnt want to be celebrated qhite like Mario but treated how his "friends" would in that world. They all look up to or crush on him, including Mona, but can be rivalrous at the same time. Its possible that none of that would exist had it not been for Syrup and her Genie.
I really wish they’d bring back Tumble. Why? So Toad can be playable in Mario Party games again. Besides, Tumble fits more as a host because he fits the general gist of Mario Party to a tee.
Only reason Toad wasn't playable in MP Superstars was cuz the game was basically a remake of Mario party 1-3 but still he needs to be brought back and the sun and moon could easily be back
I guess it would be cool if MP had an exclusive character. Some thought Tumble was too cute/kiddy though. Granted MP has always been a bit more kiddy and carefree then most Mario games. (Super Mario RPG and Odyssey have some edgy stuff in them.)

Donkey Kong Jr is the one that saddens me the most. How I would make both YIDS and the DKC lore canon to Mario lore, is to just establish that Cranky was still the original DK. But Gorillas in the Marioverse look young until they hit an age where their body starts to rapidly weaken as if they were rapidly aging. Which is what happened to Cranky at some point during the early SMB games and prior to DKC. Maybe establish that Cranky also had two children or that you don’t have to be a biological father/mother for a stork to bring you a baby. Allowing DKC’s DK to be delivered after Mario. And maybe at some age DK would get grand children from a stork. Establishing “grand child” to not have the exact same definitions as us. Or again, establish Cranky having a child before DK Jr.. And that child is what led to the stork delivering Baby DK. At some point, the first child disappears as DKC’s DK grew up. While DK Jr. was still hanging around. I remember the Noki's. Outside Noki Bay, they appeared in, Gelato Beach, Pinna Park, and Sierna Beach. The old man noki is tied to one of the biggest Super Mario Sunshine mysteries, the book. His grandson is memorable by association, and the momma and baby noki are cute. There's also another raccoon appears in Noki Bay.
Wart actually might be a dream creature since the only other time he is seen is in the Legend of Zelda link’s awakening he appears this time as mamu a frog idol of sorts but uses the same design as wart. he teaches you the frog song of soul which can bring alive long dead things. But oddly enough it’s later revealed link’s awakening is a dream link is sharing with the wind fish meaning the only times wart appears is in dreams hence me leading to believe he is a dream creature

DK Jr is believed to be modern DK and arcade DK is believed to be cranky Kong, so that's another reason we might not have DK Jr anymore. But VB and N64 Mario tennis had him in it!

Donkey Kong Jr is the one that saddens me the most. I love the SNES Donkey Kong Country games but making up a completely random new character instead of having literally the only kong character that existed besides DK himself was just stupid and it baffles me that a company as stingy as Nintendo allowed that to happen. It's like if Luigi was suddenly permanently replaced in Super Mario World.
Fun fact, Cranky Kong is the original Donkey Kong from the Arcade games. So technically Yoshi’s Island DS isn’t canon, at least in DKC lore. Since Mario is in the original DK Arcade game.
How I would make both YIDS and the DKC lore canon to Mario lore, is to just establish that Cranky was still the original DK. But Gorillas in the Marioverse look young until they hit an age where their body starts to rapidly weaken as if they were rapidly aging. Which is what happened to Cranky at some point during the early SMB games and prior to DKC.
Maybe establish that Cranky also had two children or that you don’t have to be a biological father/mother for a stork to bring you a baby. Allowing DKC’s DK to be delivered after Mario. And maybe at some age DK would get grand children from a stork. Establishing “grand child” to not have the exact same definitions as us. Or again, establish Cranky having a child before DK Jr.. And that child is what led to the stork delivering Baby DK. At some point, the first child disappears as DKC’s DK grew up. While DK Jr. was still hanging around. And maybe after the first Mario Kart, DK Jr. decided to move away to have his own adventures. Leaving just Og DK and DKC’s DK.
Also, around the time the Donkey Kong trilogy on Arcade and the GB game took place, is when Mario vs. Donkey Kong took place.

I remember the Noki's. Outside Noki Bay, they appeared in, Gelato Beach, Pinna Park, and Sierna Beach. The old man noki is tied to one of the biggest Super Mario Sunshine mysteries, the book. His grandson is memorable by association, and the momma and baby noki are cute. There's also another raccoon appears in Noki Bay.
Wart actually might be a dream creature since the only other time he is seen is in the Legend of Zelda link’s awakening he appears this time as mamu a frog idol of sorts but uses the same design as wart. he teaches you the frog song of soul which can bring alive long dead things. But oddly enough it’s later revealed link’s awakening is a dream link is sharing with the wind fish meaning the only times wart appears is in dreams hence me leading to believe he is a dream creature
