U2, after the POP album (late '90's) is hit and miss. From WAR, up through the ZOOROPA albums were their best years (Late 70's - mid 90's). They have had a political stance, but after POP, the level expressed became quite outspoken, and obnoxious, particularly when they're expressing views on a country they aren't citizen's of.
Their older stuff (pre late-90's) was better. Probably one of their grittiest songs from their prime years is "Bullet the Blue Sky" from "The Joshua Tree" album (1987). Conversely, U2 has also played "When Love Comes to Town," with the one and only BB King.
I've heard ONE Post Malone song in my life and it was by accident. There's a 1,001 rap and hip hop and country and Top 40 songs I've never heard. WHY? I don't listen to that kind of music. It's entirely believable.

In fact i find most of led zeppelin's less known hits to be their best work, the physical grafitti and houses of the holy albums are amazing and get way less credit than their popular earlier work. U2 is great and i love the joshua tree and achtung baby but i feel like there is a little less variety in their catalogue. Sure they might be more financially succesful, but bands like led zeppelin and the beatles will always be more recognized because of their amazingly influential sound and their iconic status. My mother’s cousin is the drummer in U2, "Larry Mullen". I’ve met him and the band numerous times there a great bunch of guys and I’m glad you enjoyed the song. They have plenty more songs just as good!

The song that Ross dedicated to Racheal, "With Or Without You", he had them play it on the radio for her, that was U2. They're a good band. Been around for a minute, humanitarians, love doing things for their fans, all around good dudes.

They are the record holders for the highest grossing live tour in History emulating the Rolling Stones. They are also the record artist for winning most Grammy's 22 last time I checked AND the 1st band to be inducted into the Rock+Roll Hall of Fame on their 1st year of eligibility. ....not bad for a little band to come out of the punk rock era😁

Wow Alex, just caught this video and like some others it's hard to believe there's someone who's never heard U2 before. They were basically the biggest band in the world in the late 80s & 90s. The video was shot at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport and those jets flying over the band on the runway is all real. They have a ton of great songs, but are definitely a far cry from metal, Glad you enjoyed it!
