I think one of main things is that he’s trying to comprehend something that a toddler can understand. A gospel is so simple that it’s hard when some intelligent people hear the word and think “dang it’s that simple: no way. I’ve been thinking intellectually my whole life, and now something this life changing is simple as 1,2,3.” Imagine being told you’re right , how smart you’re by many people, and knowing you have gift of being naturally intelligent compared to the average person. Not only more pride will cause you to be puffed up ,but the fact that now you’re put up against a wall to make this decision of giving up of what you’ve thought for so long to be truth in your eyes for the only Truth;Jesus Christ. That’s a wrestle. The rich young ruler for example. Dude had cash and mad access. So when Jesus tested the ruler to make the decision of it’s me or it’s your possessions the ruler walked away sad. That’s all he knew for so long, and all eyes have had that wrestle and have it still from time to time. It’s the idol within the wicked human heart or it’s the LORD. It’s the decision we must make. However once those of us who have come to repentance by and through Christ alone we pray for the lost and be an example. So others will see Christ. In us that some may want the same🤞🏾🙏🏾

The day Jordan Peterson's heart is at last enlightened by the Lord and his eyes are opened is going to be a truly great day. Do not stop praying for Dr Jordan Peterson.

I think Jordan Peterson has helped a boatload of people. I admire him greatly and have a lot of respect for him. It was wonderful seeing him stand up to the government when he refused to cave in to their rules about the pronoun usage. I watched him through a lot of that wishing desperately that I had half of his courage. But I do cringe whenever I hear him start talking about God. But he can still be saved. I believe God is using him still in many ways and I pray that through all of his discussions that he would discover the truth of who God is and come to know Him personally. 🙏🙏🙏

We don’t have to be a person with clout and influence-all of that is meaningless. We come to the Lord with nothing but our sin and shame and knowledge that we are NOTHING and Christ is everything. Before I was saved, I listened to his lectures on Genesis over and over again and that was when I first had an appreciation for Scripture, even if at the time I thought it was just a book. Eventually I hungered for the entire truth and started attending church again, which ultimately led my wife and I to a Gospel-preaching church and we were both saved shortly after. My life belongs to Christ.
That being said, I now find it impossible to listen to someone that does not believe and has not been regenerated and therefore does not have the Holy Spirit to discern the truth. As much as I like him and pray that he comes fully to Christ, I wish he would stay in his lane and stop the over-intellectualization and abstraction of Scripture. The fact that there are Atheists, Catholics, and Orthodox Jews but not one reformed theologian on a panel discussing the Gospels is unfortunate to say the least. These people are blind to the truth and have a tendency towards immense pride.
Dr. Peterson won't answer the simple question of whether or not he believes because the simple truth is, he does not. He thinks it's a story that represents some truths about who we are, not a historical, literally true Word of God in which every word was breathed out by God Himself. The Bible is not a self-improvement tool in which you can use when it pleases you. If you don't believe that, you are the last person who should be speaking about it as you are completely unqualified. I'm extremely grateful to him for who he is and the truth he does speak, and can only pray that he will be saved one day.
1 Cor 2:14 - The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
2 Cor 4:4 - In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

"Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Acts 17:11 NIV
Notice they were Jews, not yet believers. Yet the Word says they are of noble character. Not sure why Todd wants to flex on Peterson, who, by his own admission, is still examining to see if these things are so.

Interesting paradox - while criticizing Peterson, the author fails to articulate any real danger. Consider:
    1. Peterson actively encourages people (especially young men) to engage with the Bible and Christianity
    2. While his interpretations may be theologically imprecise, they aren't anti-Christian
    3. The author himself admits that Peterson:
    - Is intelligent and influential
    - Correctly diagnoses the "crisis of meaning" in society
    - Effectively directs people toward seeking transcendence
Moreover, the author explicitly states: "I don't dislike Jordan Peterson. Does any conservative not actually appreciate Jordan Peterson?"
One could argue that Peterson actually serves as a "bridge" for people who might otherwise never engage with Christianity. Even if his interpretations don't align with orthodox theology, he introduces people to a path that might lead them to a deeper interest in Christianity.
Therefore, the title "Why Christians NEED to Watch Out for Jordan Peterson" seems rather exaggerated and isn't fully supported by the presented arguments. A more accurate title might be "Why Christians Should Be Aware of Peterson's Biblical Interpretations' Limitations" - which is significantly less alarmist.

while Prager is not a Christian, I do find it refreshing when he in these series takes scripture more at its face value meaning. There may be layers or parallels, but first things first (or first readings first), I say. He, like all of us, just needs to take God's whole revelation to heart (namely the Word made flesh who came the first time not as the Jews hoped) and trust in Him who can not just kill the body.

Problem is I’ve not heard him profess actual belief in Christ or a profession that He is his Savior. So that he’s open to the possibility of some other god/non-god or physical phenomenon being that which created our planet and the universe. Which isn’t making God the foundation of his belief.

Please remember people are turning to Christ every single day. They are saved instantly but everything else comes with time. Many, especially those who do not come from Christian backgrounds, will take time to be truly discerning. They are navigating fresh waters, learning how to find a solid church, reading the word for the first time. Which takes time read through and even more time to grow in understanding. The Christian world has a lot of baby Christians. It is a good thing they’re coming. But if they have no idea YET how to weed through these things can we be grateful for anyone taking time to warn, guide, and direct? This isn’t the bone we need to pick. It is a big red flag to me, especially from channels like this one that never has anything to say but who is wrong about this or that.

Bottom line with Peterson: He's simply a very natural 'natural man' (and such were we). Purely through human wisdom, he's trying to discern "god," asking like Nicodemus, "How can these things be!!?" (Jn3:9). "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is NOT ABLE TO UNDERSTAND them because they are spiritually discerned" (1Cor.2:14). Let's pray that God gives him the right to become a child of God, born of God.

If you read Proverbs with a deeper word study, similar to how "love" is actually several different words with very different meanings, several types of "fool" are talked about.
Some of their behaviors overlap, and some of them are almost opposites.
The "unreasonable" fool is often very intellectual. But they have 2 major actions that contrast the falsehood vs someone walking in wisdom:
      1. They are always asking - but never coming to the truth.
      2. They love to be deemed wise.
If you think about that, it's only natural that this type of person flocks to:
      Teaching positions
      Psychiatry
      Counseling
Elitist think tanks, such as so called "rationality" groups
(so called, because it breaks down/reveals itself to be a false claim, whenever you get them to actually examine and question their own beliefs, come to a new conclusion, then goldfish/reset the next day and reveal tactful avoidance of facing the conclusion _they made._ why? Because they don't actually want to follow what they _know_ is true.)
And unfortunately, being fed the esteem they desire only strengthens their commitment to unreason.
Jp isn't likely to turn to God in actual, while he's soaking in and loving the praise. Something deep inside him needs to come to a breaking point - where the falsehood and emptiness are to much to endure in himself. Where he needs God or nothing else matters.

In my opinion; He's trying to think his way to God and salvation. He's trying to put God in a box. He's trying to share his interpretation of the Gosepl with an alternate motive than the power of God unto salvation. He's searching with his head and not his heart. He's convoluting the Gospel and not preaching sin, hell, repentance, and the saving atonement of Jesus Christ.
