I dig it. I've always flown Asteros as a close in, armor tanked brawler. Interesting to see it flown as a kite. Question: Is there a particular reason you were using RF Warriors in most of those fights, rather than Warrior IIs?
RF warriors are better at killing light drones than T2s, with slightly less dps but with more ehp, more speed and better tracking.

I personally use faction drones to kill their drones for the same reason. I also swap to them if they attempt to take out my drones because they have a lot more hp. Otherwise I throw hob 2 for max dps. Thinking of swapping h2 for augmented. They're just so damn high.
Why does the capacitor have so many bars on an Astero? In the HUD I mean. Mine has far less..

How do you scan for the players in the first place? Are you just using core scanners to locate sites then warping / camping in the sites? I fly an astero pvp/explo fit myself and I find I have to get really lucky to cross paths with a player in WHs. Maybe only get to fight once per hour if not less.
Ore sites dont need scanning. Also, you can catch Them on d scan.
Which boosters were you using? Really nice show off of the astero

Not sure if this fit is still on time. However ill try to go with it except for the shield extender that I will switch for relic analyzer if there is no one to engage. Hopefully all will go well. BTW amazing music. Usually I hate what people put in the background, but you did it alright.

Blackjack461 no, but a tengu isn't an alt if you are in an astero, the astero is the alt, so that's a tengu kill, not an astero kill.

@@zomgl2pnoobffs he got in range quit a few times in that video. Broke 10k a few times plus someone with the right setup can get scrams to work over 10k anyways. Also he was orbiting one at a time so there was always someone in range regardless. Just fighting noobs or carebears it looks. An experienced pvp'r would have shut him down quick. Microwarp drives are too easy to counter to an experienced pvp'r. The trick is building your ship that can go that speed without a microwarpdrive. It can be done, and I havent even began to talk about stasses webs.
Loving the micro management, but as a person who is trying to learn it, i have been ratting a ton, and love drone boats. Therefore i have an attachment to ratting, and am slightly displeased about how u went after them, but this is EVE and good fight.
Dunno if some of these fights are staged but no way in hell an asteo beats me in a stratios, even if i was drunk and high, serious bullshit going on right there.
He had a Tengu alt during that fight, says it right on the screen dummy.
Keep watching dummy. The very next fight at 8:12 he was 1v1 with a Strat and had it on the ropes before it managed to flee. Looked legit to me - he just kept eating its drones and it couldn't close the distance to neut him.
Destroying the strats drones will keep you alive. Avoiding the neut is only required as long as you are taking damage and need to run reps. The Astero can be a nasty little ship in the right hands. Especially against a shit fit.

They are tho, up to %300, even %400 on some instances.

This astero is easily killed with web.You don't have have such a huge speed and your HP will deplete very quickly.But well done!
Even an overheated deadspace web won't range beyond 18km. That's why he generally stays at 20km. Unless he makes a mistake, he's not going to get webbed.
That's true but even if you manage to stay beyond ~15km (What's unlikely unless you are against some fat-ass ship).Drones or rockets will kill this fellow sooner or later.Works only against newbies
He's moving at over 3500m/s. The only thing that's going to close that range is a fast frigate, which aren't his targets. He's focused on cruiser sized ratters. And he does a great job of taking down enemy drones before focusing on their hulls. He's not invincible, but as a cloaky hunter he dictates what types of ships he engages. The most important part of of solo PVP is understanding the engagement meta and what counters your fit. If the other ship is a known counter to your meta, you simply don't engage it. The only time you should lose a ship is if you make a mistake or their friends jump in to reinforce. It's not rocket science.
You're absolutley right but i'm trying to say that expirienced pilot even on a bulky ship could win this PVP.Noob-kiling strategy so to speak
I don't think it's any more of a noob-killing strategy than any other kitey fit.I flipped through zKillboard and several of the pilots he beat were reasonably experienced. There are some ship metas that simply can't beat a kitey drone boat no matter how experienced the pilot is. What I will say is that the fit has a very narrow engagement profile. There are only a small number of ships that it can safely dominate. But ships with a larger engagement profile (like a T3C or Stratios) cost a lot more.

GigaCrank I'm in pandemic horde. I pvp in enemy staging systems 90% of my eve time. Killing mtu is in my opinion more pve than pvp.. Don't be so aggressive dude. Insults lead nowhere
