Starting in iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma, you can use hand gestures to share 3D augmented reality reactions in FaceTime, Photo Booth, and other supported video conferencing apps. Try it out while using the built-in camera on your Mac with Apple silicon, or on any Mac when using Continuity Camera with iPhone 12 or later.

I was once in a call with my friend when he did the double thumbs up. We were all confused why there were fireworks in the background. Well, mystery solved now!
works also with an external (logitech) camera in my case - discovered it by chance while doing the heart gesture. So cool
(and it was on MS Teams btw)
I love 💕 using this with my online students. Whenever they get a question right. 🎊 🎊
Quick note: Hand gestures also work on other apple devices like
iPhone Running iOS 17 or later
iPad Running iPadOS 17 or later
tv: running tvOS 17 or later (will require a external camera device like a iPhone)

This is so annoying. I keep having massive issues when recording videos and doing live streams and i couldn't figure out why. I hate this so much

When i click on Green Icon with FaceTime opened, I only see the Facetime HD Camera preview and I cannot disable them. Any idea?

When I was training a machine learning model for "Rock Paper Scissors", balloon pops up randomly...
"Why is there balloons?" "There is it again!!!"
Then the teacher and other classmates using Windows looked at me like I'm retarded 💀

Worst feature ever. I had an important interview on another TH-cam channel and a 'thumbs down' icon kept appearing randomly. Totally annoying. I'd seen another report of a doctor giving a patient bad news as balloons are launched in the background. This is ghastly. It should NOT be switched on by default.
What a stupid feature to add, especially turned on automatically the first time
