You should add a feature to draw/write straight lines, round circles, arrows, etc. and not really exclusively on the stickers menu. It should be just like in Notes. It seems kind of inconsistent and it’s time consuming

It's probably gonna come in a future update anyways so it doesn't really matter for now, yeah I get it could be annoying but just wait and they'll probably add it in a future update.
I was thinking the same thing when I first tried it I think it would make it much better!
I like "Freeform" a lot but I miss auto-shapes and automatically straight lines, which almost every other drawing program including "Apple Notes" offers. For "Freeform" this feature would be absolutely essential and I can't understand at all why it wasn't implemented right away 🤷🏻♂
Yep, very unlike Apple, as I naturally tried to do that thinking it would obviously be implemented.

@@cesarinrin a screen shot contains the axis of the screen ( device dims ) you took it from so if you take a screenshot from Ios version and want to use it or watch on Ipad it will decrease the readability and clearence of the output
I spent time looking for “Save Image” that I expected to be there. Why would it not be an option?

The Freeform App is awesome ! It is unfortunate that we cannot organize boards in folders or by context.

Do I have to beg for a dark theme board now? Beats me how and why app devs don’t make dark themes a staple feature
I prefer the dynamic pen weight that increases with pressure like in Notes. But I think that would be so much data to load live between multiple devices.
Why doesn't the mac os version have a pen in the tools? This would help creative people a lot since many of us have pen tablets like wacom's and others that we use with our mac computers.
sorry just curious, how would u use a pen on a computer? draw on the touchpad maybe?

The moment it was announced at WWDC, I’ve wanted Freeform because it sounds awesome!
We love the monoline and it fits well for an app like this..we hope too see it there!
I feel like Freeform is good, but it’s only about 80% of the way there.
*The tool palettes are a bit clunky compared to Flow and GoodNotes.
*Easier access to frequently used color palettes without multiple clicks is essential.
*The image paste from ‘copy image’ in safari works great, better than any of the other apps.
*The infinite board is great.
*Export doesn’t work from the icon one would expect.
*The solid white or white bullet journal style background is a little harsh on the eyes.
*Alignment is fantastic.
*Lasso needs to be able to grab more than just drawn items.
*Lasso requiring 100% of the item to be grabbed is spot on.
Like I say, 80% there, but a really good first version. I like it, but I want to love it.

can you please add a folder support to organise all the boards. I think it would be wonderful

You should add the function, that you can create folder like in notices
You guyz made just what we wanted. It’s because of these apps and iPad smooth performance I consider iPad as one of the best Gadget anyone can have

Also, you can combine objects by holding two or more at the same time and choosing the combine feature. I discovered that on my own last night after the iOS update.

love the ideas and the functions. few here and there feature would make this app super fun.
the only complaint I have, memory is so damn expensive, and the iPhone connecting to the window is hella nightmare. I want to love iPhone but its hard, because I'm a window user

I need a way to save presets or default sizes of boxes, text, arrow thickness etc.
Also is there that thing on Apple Pencil where if you draw a shape and hold it, it will make a neater version

bruh, date is correct, but uploaded like 25 minutes before 9:41, but sheesh, pretty nice
every apple-produced marketing image of any product with a visible time indicator (excluding Apple Watch, and multi-device photos containing Watch) will say it is 9:41 AM, along with variable and relevant dates.
This harkens back to the original iPhone keynote, when Steve Jobs finally revealed the iPhone around 41 minutes into the 9AM presentation that january morning.
As far as Apple Watch is concerned, I think i read that the timepiece industry standard for time displayed on product marketing is a very symmetrical 10:09 (and 30 seconds). Thus, this is the time shown on every Apple Watch image, and if there are other devices like iPhone or iPad shown together with Apple Watch, they will all say 10:09.
Take a quick glance on their website and you'll soon see the same times everywhere. I have a hard time un-seeing this on every picture now haha.

Needs expandable buttons. An option to add a shape with text that you can tap on to expand to reveal more information.
This will be perfect if it has mindmap function and the keyboard shortcuts like MindNode

This would’ve been useful during the early pandemic years to replace whiteboard when teaching. I used both Jamboard (rubbish) and Microsoft Whiteboard (was good)

Is this a possible alternative to apps like goodnotes or notability?
i like mind-mapping my ideas for certain topics, so i think this is a great alternative. i mainly use goodnotes for rewriting notes to study. however, i noticed that there isn’t a highlighter tool. i know this could be a dealbreaker for certain people, but changing the colour of text instead is always an option as well.

Oooooh I was just saying to myself that I didn’t want to buy Scapple to make mindmap stuff for Scrivener. I played around with Freeform and I like it better than using Scapple and I can just drop it into Scrivener as a PDF when I’m done brainstorming!
Can you add a folder function to categorize all my canvases? I like your app for the feature of unlimited canvas size and I use it for notetaking, right now I have too many canvases and need a way to organize them!

Is it possible for you make folders and add certain boards to folders or not?
I've never wanted to wait for an Apple update so bad until 16.2 when it came with Freeform lol. Now I want to know if it will be available for iCloud since I do use Windows as much as I do Apple. If it does it is goodbye to Microsoft Whiteboard!!
I'm curious. Are you seeing a particular advantage that Freeform has over MS Whiteboard? Or is it an all-in-on-Apple kinda decision for you? (No judgement! I'm just curious about folks' comparison of MS Whiteboard to Freeform as they both seem super similar on the surface)

Honestly I can’t think of a use in my life for this app.
It would be great if you could insert a link to another Freeform Board, I.E. just as you can open e.g. a linked presentation, if you could open another board the possibilities are limitless.

I have Freeform as part of the last big update but have no idea what to do with it. Is it to use on iPad? Hopefully, it will work on my new iPad Pro 12.9, when it comes next week.
It would be awesome to have circle, square, rectangle outlines and not just the shapes that come filled. I have found ways around this but that would be great.
It is Apple Paint, 40 years later available on iOS.
Will you guys consider making it where we can do live edits to excel within Freeform?

Is there a readonly mode (for the iPhone app), I opened a document on my phone and accidentally messed it up by navigating around, would’ve been nice to have such an option
The official app ive been waiting for. But, is there a way to turn off handwriting correction in Freeform (or in Notes)? I can write perfectly in Goodnotes or in Notability with Apple Pencil but unfortunately Apple apps corrects (idk if this is the right term) my lines and my letters.

I missed the drawing button in the macOS version, I think it's really usable when I'm using a pen tablet.
Sadly it needs a lot of improvements to even compete with competitor apps, at the very least, it needs the ability to convert drawn shapes and lines into actual shapes, converting hand written text in to normal text, changing the background into lines (math lines, normal lines etc,) and an ability to display and share the board online with a link that can be opened on a browser, for now, this is just a simplified notes app, which is already a simplified app, anyway, I’ll stick to notes for simple scribbling and to OneNote for actual work until Apple gives me a better option
Plz make this available on iCloud so my colleagues can view it on browser!

Why is it not available on Mac? I can use a graphic tablet to make my personal document. Windows had OneNote for it, and this is something I really require!
Why you not use tap 2 finger for undo, and 3 finger for redo?

I had a serious problem with Freeform. Was excited at the prospect of its capabilities, but unfortunately it stopped syncing, and after several hours on the phone with several members of Apple support, making changing various settings I lost 90% of my data. I was told that Apple's 'Creative Services' department are the ultimate support for Freeform, and whilst one of the guys I worked with appeared very helpful, they have so far been unable to resolve the situation. Needless to say I lost hours of work. It appears to me that the app may have been launched without having the appropriate support people in place?
Can one use this app to work on a writing project with someone else?

Limited in scope on Mac, as freehand drawing is tied to using iPad as input. This is a shame as Wacom or other tablets are able to use the Freeform interface tools but the ability to draw with a pen and tablet are omitted. Hopefully a future update will change this but until then, Freeform is not for me.

I really don’t think this is going to last or be that popular. I think sharing document and/or PDF’s will be far more useful.
I probably have 30 boards - I wish I could create folders so I can group them by subject
