Thanks for the follow up! I did the "refurb" on the starter motor last weekend and it's been fine since, even with a very low state of charge on the battery. Fingers crossed it lasts a bit longer than yours did! 🙂
do you have any more details about what a "refurb" would be in this case. I'm at my 2nd starter motor replacement , in two years ... and I'm starting to think it's not the start itself, but something else...
@@ranek. Have a look at the OP's other video: th-cam.com/video/x8WsRnPGQ5w/w-d-xo.html This is what I did to mine and it's been fine for 12 months. If you're on your second starter motor in that space of time, it's got to be something else - probably a poor connection to the starter motor solenoid or the motor itself.
or add a mini solenoid to the starter and double up using the feed from the starter itself? (or add another 40 A relay adjacent to starter- with feed to relay from starter)

Ive read the problem could be the starter relay burning out inside.
