Hey Jeff good to see you guys doing ok. Don't worry your not the only one bored to tears. Have been casting some lead bullets for my 44/357 handguns to stay busy but now out of lead. Two 5gal buckets of wheel weights didn't go as far as i hoped. Stay safe and hug the Misses

I have watched Taryl Fixes All off and on for several years and when you check out his channel you will understand when I tell you, Taryl reminds me of you in some ways, ha, ha ha. Keep this great channel going, Nick, North West Farmer P.S. Taryl really does fix darn near everything in the small engine equipment area. Have learned lots from him!

You are regular entertainment! Keep them coming. You could have Ohmed the coils without having to remove everything. Just remove the Wires and Ohm them. I'm getting older too and using my head more than my back now because I'm getting tired ..... and lazy. Don't sell the Super Dodge.

    THANKS!
I thank you Jeff for your kind comments. Sorry, I thought the putty had instructions on the package. It is like JB Weld but much easier to use. They each have their own niche applications. Just clean material and cut off as much putty as you'll need, kneed until it is a consistent color and apply - it covers and plugs a multitude of sins.
Taryl is off putting at first but the information he gives out is on the mark and I find his humor dry with a hint of barley. I don't even see his costume anymore, I think he uses it as a hook to catch the younger crowd and teach them how to. Yeah when I was young, I usta watch Batman on TV too.

I got a 2002 second gen 3500 and I'll never get a new or newer one to replace it with all the electronics that I can't fix. I figure it the same as you do, with that kind of money that 2002 can be almost new every few years as long as I can get parts. Besides we pay personal property tax every year according to book value and sixty to seventy thousand verses 8 thousand, I rather keep my money than some politician having it in his pocket.

Jeff, good luck with those Napa Starters, or any rebuilt item from Napa. Personally I use only Cummins parts on the engine. You will grow old changing out anybodies "Rebuilt" anything these days. Sorry for the rant. Been there done that.

I know this video was a while ago, so I don't think I'll get a response quickly, but I have been having starting issues with my 2005 Dodge 3500 Ram (diesel) On warm days it starts fine, Cold days I had to plug in the oil pan heater to get it to start. I replaced my two Solenoids which go to the air intake heater, thinking that might be the issue. Today, with oil pan heater plugged in overnight, I couldn't get the Truck to start. So... I was getting ready to purchase the Air Intake heater thinking maybe it had failed. (It may be my issue) Some say >they really never go bad." Then I came across a video about a "fuel heater Element". I'm NOT a mechanic, but I can wrench just about anything. The fact that it starts on warm days, and not on cold ones, makes me think it's the intake heater element, BUT, could it be the fuel heater element instead? IDK.... any thoughts before I purchase the air intake heater?

The white board; hearts and smiles back at ya ... looks like Olivia and KACEI (with a five line E ... no, that's a double E) have better hand writing than I do.
FYI: that is most likely Cordova AK. a little town with lots of colorful and off color history. At one time there was a road to Cordova, McCarthy Hwy, but was lost in the 64 earthquake. Another town you may enjoy is Homer, it usta be known as "A quaint little drinking town with a fishing problem." To give you a size comparison the State of West Virginia is one thousand square miles smaller than the Mat-Su (Matanuska-Susitna) borough and if you placed Alaska over the East coast it would cover 22 States and span the contiguous States. Alaska has five times the coastal maritime limits and boundaries than the entire U.S. coast line combined. Alaska does not use the maritime limits and boundaries as part of its land mass but Texas does. Taking that fact into account Alaska is actually three times the state of Texas. You could truly place Texas between Fairbanks and Nome and if they kept their mouth shut we wouldn't even know there were there; but, as we all know that's impossible for Texans to keep their mouth shut.

Sure it is lifetime warranty but by the time you crawl under there and put on #7 in a few years you will be tired of it and buy a good one. When was the last time you ran the overhead on the super dodge? Yours started like it was 0 outside in this video. Maybe it was? My Crew cab will start no grids no problem down to 0. Maybe time for an injector refresh too if it has a lot of miles. They normally start and and don't even shake down to about 20 or so.

In the Navy we called getting zapped. Other air squadrons would put squadron stickers on our planes, and or spaces. We'd do the same thing as it is like pissing on a fire hydrant marking our territory.
So the filthy ho marking would be the same.

For the rest of you guys that don't want to change the starter you can get heavy duty contacts for your solenoid. I've had them in mine for years, and you can replace them without removing the starter. They are made by LarryB and you can find them on Amazon, eBay and other truck parts places.
