I tip my hat to you, Sir, for the vision to leverage your love of sailing and your TH-cam assets to swinging the deal with Outremer. A match made in heaven, making rock stars out of you both. Well played, captain..
Hey Riley, I’ve been a subscriber for a few years and I’ve really enjoyed your (and Elayna’s) content. I’ve particularly enjoyed your solo adventures. As a retired Royal Canadian Navy officer, the solo adventures remind me of Long Bridge watches. This particular video, especially the night watches, bring back memories of singing any song you could remember in order to stay awake. Fortunately for you you could actually listen to the music…Keep sailing - keep loving - and can’t wait to see the new family (bambino and all) on the sea. Safe travels, Fairwinds and following seas…
Another great video Riley! No need to apologize for plugging the manufacturer that has taken such good care of you!! And yes - I did laugh at that "last bit" of bottles in the shower! :)
The designer of your boat deserves a medal. What an amazingly trustworthy and comfortable product. I don't see how I could ever buy anything else even though I enjoy being on the lean. You can harmonize with Elton very, very well. Now he could be a big patron if you sent him this video.
We enjoy you sharing your experiences and insight of how things are for you and Elena. Also you challenging your self with your free diving and solo sailing are the traits of a true man living a full life. Our admiration is real, thank you for sharing.
To be able to make content like this everyday is difficult. But you guys always manage to make great content and bring a positive attitude to all of thank you ❤️
Your a good man Riley, I have been watching you guys for about two years now, I have my own boat and have learned a lot for you Thanks for that, I'm a African American Doctor that have just started sailing, everyone I meet love to help me discover something new but I must say watching you and your family has been most helpful.
Riley is totally correct about the problems, issues with new machinery, Standard engineering knowledge, You have a high intensity of issues when something is brand new as manufacturing defects come to the the fore and then a long period of reliability until the piece of equipment reaches the end of life and the problems begin to escalate dramatically. Shame my boat is in the latter period of its existence.
Wish Riley would give us some more technical videos, or perhaps just a bit more of his perspective and philosophy on life. I really loved this video, might be cool to see Riley have a small side channel like elayna has with her Mum Channel. Keep up the good work, we all love getting a glimpse of your lives, perhaps so we might be able to live vicariously through y'all. Cheers from Texas!
I am a sailor who, like a lot of others, looked at catamarans as "those people." Not in a bad way, just a different type. But seeing your experience on the Cat has changed my perspective. Not just a fast boat with a great layout, but - especially with the daggerboards - a good all-around puddle jumper. You are not an advertisement for Outremer... Outremer is an advertisement for Outremer. They are making an excellent boat that they love and care about. That is what I want from anyone who makes something I trust my life with.
I have loved this Riley from the beginning. He's like a son lol... I have watched them both and will continue to watch. I am not a patron because I am a pensioner and cannot afford to be one but I wish them both well with the upcoming birth of their first baby. Lovely couple... living the dream. I live it through them vicariously. Thanks ...you both make me smile...
You guys have inspired so many. And we can actually say you also inspired us as we are now selling everything and moving to Europe from Australia 🇦🇺 to buy a boat! Three kids and mum and dad! Thanks guys. it’s Never Too Late!
No offence, but I like these "Riley only" videos and the focus on the sailing part. You have for sure opened my eyes for Outremer. My wife and I are planning to buy a cat in about two years time. We met Matthieu at Dusseldorf boat show. Such an amazing man and I love his passion for the brand. Seems to be a great boat
Really like and waited for a critical appraisal of the boat based upon your impressions and experience. The relatively modest interior volume pointed towards performance rather than crowd handling at anchor
Outremer needs to just pay off whatever loan you have and write you a sponsorship contract! You are an amazing advert for them and I believe you are sincere.
Good of you to give thanks to the folks at Outremer, but you also should be acknowledged for how hard you have worked to constantly improve your skills and knowledge. Of course you realize that now, and for the rest of your life, you will be known, almost exclusively, as "Lennys' Dad"! Well done!
Thank you for sharing this with us Riley. Those of us who don't know anything about sailing appreciate all of your videos. It can seem to be quite a bit of fun, but we must not forget that this is just a different way of living which has it's own financial responsibilities. I'm into to computer programming, and it's a great way to earn a living not being tethered to a stationary office. It's something you might want to consider learning, if you want to earn additional income, while still continuing to sail.
@@listay1 Riley can surely overcome this issue the same way they do for uploading their videos. Anyway, Riley, if you are interested in exploring this suggestion, I would advise you take a look at coding using Flutter.
Watched this video again, and glad there was a thank you to Outremer. Can't sleep so looked up some sailing videos, a ship sailing from Falklands to Capetown mentioned Nikki Henderson- a name I hadn't heard since your Atlantic crossing with Greta Thunberg and her dad- and looked for a Nikki Henderson video and found her on a Q&A video which mentioned the Atlantic crossing (she said it had happened a year before on the video..so time flies) and her take on your sailing skills was high praise. I'm watching a number of sailing videos tonight and I'm seeing very seasoned sailors addressing problems in foul weather gear so I'm even more amazed of the "keep the gold" beautiful lifestyle shots featured on SLV, making the difficult look easy. Much respect for what you're doing and how you do it. Cheers and Merry Christmas as we'd all say in Coober Pedy.
Loved this episode. You have so much heart. Love the tiny dancer and although the redness of the sunset may not have been fully picked up in the sky, it was on your skin. Those rose tinted hues take ten years off you, Riley.
Riley that was an absolutely Amazing sun set.........you are truly inspiration to my self and millions of others thank you...... it would be great to see "matu" there for a vacation with you all.......oh where's Bilge? especially with your lone sail.....he was great company before. "Hey Be Safe out There"
Riley - that was such an authentic commentary - for those of us that sail we recognize Outremer as being outstanding - really quite brilliant - nothing you have said contradicts that - great yacht - and by the look of it you're loving it.Fair winds and a following sea
Thanks Riley. That’s an important video. Giving your honest opinion and assessment. So glad you had the opportunity to get your wonderful boat. Cangrats😁👍
Both of you have done an excellent job in being truthful in your review and updates of the boat. If my wife and I were in a position and looking for a boat of that class I would without hesitation go with Outremer on their customer service based on your experiences in your videos alone. I would have to have an air conditioner and washer/dryer, I'm from the south and we have to have our air conditioners.
I might add you have it backwards red morning sailors warning pink night sailors delight I know this cause we've left port and both heads broke two days later! You never leave on a Friday or have change in pocket and damn sure no bananas! Or blowing 20-25kts hahaha
Kia Ora Riley. I was talking to an Outremer 50 owner who went to an Outremer rally in France to check em out before he bought one. He said on race day all the original Gerard Danson Outremer’s took off and did a horizon job on all the new Outremers. He still bought a new one!
truly beautiful boat and its great to see you acknowledge the help and generosity that Outremer have extended to you and Elayna , keep up the great content and stay safe 😃

I have been looking at sailboat (dreaming of course) and out of all the boats I have seen yalls boat is absolutely gorgeous. I love the outboard aft seats.

It has been tremendously inspiring and I'm so happy to have stumbled upon you guys! Such quality content, well-edited and there's a little bit of everything. Too many good things to say!
I'm not sure why but the thing that stuck out the most was the scene where Riley was showing how red the sunrise (sunset? I thought it was the sunrise) was really red and he wasn't sure that the camera would show it, it reminded me of an old saying I read in a book, red at night, sailors delight, red in the morning sailors take warning, I doubt it has any truth but I thought it would be something that you might have heard of before. Love your videos! If my family's business goes well I hope to become a patron because I really believe in what your family puts out 💙 safe sailing guys ⚓💙⛵
