You might want to check out Visible Wireless. Its a prepaid plan on Verizon's network. I'm on Party pay and pay $25 a month and I usually get about 10-15 Mbs down on the hotspot.
By January 30, nobody in the U.S. payed any attention to what was happening around the world with Covid-19.
Wasn't until March that the U.S. finally felt it at home.

I'm so sorry that you and your fellow full-time RV'ers are suffering right now. I have been enjoying your videos while in bed due to COVID-19. I am young, healthy, with no co-morbidities, and this is the scariest sickness I have ever had. I've been sent to the ER, had several nurse and PCP calls, and coughing fits so bad that blood vessels broke in my eyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the CDC recommendations seriously and keeping us and yourselves safe.

A 20-year old truck for an RV during a pandemic proves to be a challenge indeed
of one's patience and perseverance. Parts that can be ordered online is a big help,
and much more, breaking down in a city or state composed of friendly and helpful
people! Stay roadworthy!
Every time I see you with your coffee, I laugh because I am just as serious as you are about coffee. When I lived in Texas I remember that perfect strangers waved at us when we drove by. That is one awesome memory about Texas.
Seems like y’all made it through Louisiana and into Texas before the governor required the 14 day quarantine for all travelers crossing the border. You found a beautiful location to hunker down!
I'm under the Coronavirus lockdown in Malaysia in my small apartment. Only allowed out for groceries and emergencies. Only allowed to travel a 10km radius from home. Watching your videos to escape reality and getting inspiration for my own youtube videos. I just started a channel under lockdown. lol.
I was in the same situation a week ago! I had been staying on a ranch, nice family up the lane, allowing me to shower and do laundry there. But as Social Distancing came more into bear, I REALLY didn't want to be around them, of course ... So I was looking at paying the $12 Pilot fee to shower. A nice setup if you ever showered there ... but every 3-4 days having to pay that AND laundry ... not good on a full time Hymer fixed income.
Then, back against the wall, my daughter, a commander in a Navy Reserve medical unit, called to ask me if I could house sit for her! She'd been deployed to NYC. Now, I can hunker down with shower, laundry, WIFI - and this finicky cat - for up to 6 months. Or hopefully when this is over!
We do what we gotta do. And they SAY it won't last much longer; but they said that a month ago. I cut my own hair 2 days ago using my beard trimmer (fortunately it's a pretty good one with a number of guards, and fairly new so the cutters are sharp). Took about an hour, holding a small mirror in one hand, going over and over my skull. Sides came out OK but it's too short on top and you can see plenty of shine off my scalp. Wish I had just one more, longer guard. Overall, it looks just fine when I wear a hat. Feel free to laugh; I did.
I like your shaved head Kait, so to see it being growing out is sad. But hey it's hair and isn't it great we can change it whenever? I love the cabin! Love It! Stay healthy and safe guys!
Well in a week or two she may be begging me to shave it off.
We used a 20 year old truck our first year out. We bought a new truck. Life is much better and a lot less stress. Full timing yes.
Since we're stuck at home and not allowed to drive other than to the grocery store it was fun to hang out with you on your trek across the country. Glad you found somewhere beautiful to stay. It looks perfect! Enjoy spring from your great deck!

We did almost the same thing a few weeks ago. Bugged out of Florida before things got pretty serious there and headed west. Landed in New Mexico to hunker down and see what's next. Stay at home order is in effect until the end of April. Stay safe!

It was nice to see the video of your trek across Sweet Home Alabama. Wish you'd included a description of the area. Most people wouldn't know that you passed over Mobile Bay (with the Mobile delta on your right) on a 7-mile I-10 elevated bridge. You showed a great view of downtown from the Bayway. And a view of the battleship USS Alabama. Our children put spare coins into collection boxes to help pay to move the battleship to Mobile in 1964.
I like the Ford 7-3 and I like yours new rig and setup 20 years 2022 my van will be 40 the fuel pump just went out on my van so I've got to replace it I'm getting it there guys slowly but surely
Would never have a vehicle without hot shower, toilet, kitchen. Times like this proves it, Big water and holding tanks too. Fit between frame rails. Have fun. A great truck, good engine and trans. You learn the truck as you catch up with maintenance. I don't think you'll have to worry about major repairs that will cost a lot.
What a lovely cabin in a beautiful place! Nice place in which to ride out the storm.
The Ponderosa Pine Forest areas are awesome. I've lived in Flagstaff and Payson. Enjoy the AZ beauty!!!
Smart man using a fuel additive. Diesel in the USA is still subpar compared to many other countries, so a good additive really helps to preserve the health of the entire fuel delivery system. I used OptiLube XPD when I had my VW diesel and it even improved my fuel economy.

Glad you have a nice place to stay. All I had to offer you is a place to boon-dock. We have a cabin with land. It’s a dry cabin. For now. But it does have a nice bathroom. We just haven’t run the water line up to it yet. Hopefully we can get some things done out there while the world is closed. Lol. Take care! Leslye

I had your same hairdo some 26 years ago. It came back exactly as it was before treatment: very thick and very straight. I had to live through some strange hairstyles to get back to normal. 😉
The mayor of Chicago has been extremely adamant and abrupt about social distancing and not going out for services. However, she did find time to go to a hairdresser to get a trim! Maybe you could use the same one? I’m sure that what is good for the goose is good for the gander, except for in Chicago!

We went from Nevada, through Texas to pick up our Casita travel trailer. I agree, the people in Texas were very kind and polite.

Oh you're keeping us puzzled about your magnificent hideout - did you get it at monthly rates, did you get it free / low rent with work exchange, are they hurting for renters bc of the 'world-situation' and cutting you some rent-$lack, what is the scoop? Very glad you two are hunkering down in style!! Everyone needs a safe place to lay their head. But....as we know all situations have down-sides ....can't wait to see how your wonder-cabin bites you in the 🌻$$. Not that we wish for that but life always seems to have a curve-ball LOL up its sleeve. For now relax and enjoy the showers, hot water, wifi, and congratulations for making it to your destination!! Hi guys - you had a heck of a drive from FL to AZ but I noticed gas & diesel prices were fairly low especially compared to here in McMinnville, OR where Regular is $2.59.
I thought Kait's hair was growing out for the same reason as mine - no barbers available. Some Entrepreneur will probably create a whole underground barber & salon business.

I would greatly recommend hotlogic mini. It's basically a hybrid between lunchbox and slow cooker. You can easily heat up food on the go. Just connect it to a power inverter
I’m a flight attendant and almost all of us have it in our bags. That thing is perfect.
I been hearing a lot of full timers having problems where to go. And don't worry Kait we all been needing our hair done. And it honestly looks good.

I surely love this channel and you folks are so awesome. I just got done with 8 yrs in Alaska and want to get back to San Antonio and hope to meet up with you folks sometime because I am going to begin doing what you do. I only saw Kate with long hair on your first few videos and it was very beautiful. The longer it is the prettier. I just had a 7.3 first ford i've owned in 15 yrs and never again i know better lol. Good international motors but LOUD. I put 5 steering gear boxes in it and even then, dealer u can't buy them NEW anymore because they don't make new parts for them so i sold it because i couldn't keep it on the road. $4000 into it in 2 weeks of just parts and tires that I did all the work myself, so I sold it. I have a Duramax now that is way way stabler and quieter.
This is keeping me very locked down over here on canary islands seeing my brother for first time in 5 yrs and got stuck. But 65-70 degrees all yr round so not to bad of a place to get stuck. I think i'll begin with an AWD astro van and upgrade to a 19-22 footer maybe with the older 2.5L 5 cylinder at 22mpg later on. I have a friend in Canyon Lake Texas if you ever need a place to park. She runs an AIRBNB and would love to have ya and are very very sweet people, Will bake for ya and whole 9 yards, Just let me know.

Your rig is great, but that cabin is a pretty spectacular hunker down place.
It’s always best to put the original parts you need for the engine.
a couple of weeks back I lost my trans on my 2000 E350 in Death Valley (78,000 miles).....Had to leave it at a dealership in California rent a car head back to AZ. Keep that trans clean

Just announced today that all of our Provincial parks are closed 100%.
Next to nothing for private campgrounds around here.
You still see the occasional RV, but not too many anymore.
Us locals can head out on the logging roads but even then they have closed some roads off to limit access.
So we are just hunkered down in our house. Waiting it out.

Don't worry Kate i took a shaver to my hair today since all the barbers are closed too. Now i look like I'm joining the military again....

When you drove past the gas station, it demonstrated a big problem of buying a diesel:
You might get a million miles on that engine (good luck with the rest of the vehicle though), but if you’re paying 75 more cents a gallon...with crappy mileage to boot...you’re paying $750,000 more in fuel for the life of the vehicle versus regular gas.

Don't rub the sanitizer into your skin. On top of not being terribly good for you, it makes it much less effective.
Rub your hands together just enough to make sure sanatizer is covering them, then let it evaporate off. It isn't lotion, you _dont_ want to work it into your skin.
Older vehicles are much easier to work on. No computers.
So glad to found a great place to chill for awhile.

You made me laugh when you said something to fix everyday on truck. My RV 35 years ols and so yes things go wrong, but then it could go wrong on a new RV too. We Live in Canada and when they said we should go home from Florida we headed home. Second day on way home load noise from Motor aerea. Checked all fluids and power steering fluid was empty. Filled up and back on the road to a smooth ride home. When everything is working fine I love our camper, 1985 C-Class, 70,000miles on it. Good luck with the cabin!

Yep - the Costco we were at is in Lubbock and we came across through Clovis. Got to see a few of the military transports flying around.
With the truck shakedown and the CV it's nice to see that you guys had the common sense to hole up for a while. However, if your going to the Arctic Circle or Tibet or something you're going to need a proper shower and more provisions than 3-4 days. You just might need to buy a Flowbee and switch to instant coffee.
Just watching the scenes of driving on the highways made me salivate for a big roadtrip this summer when the all-clear is given. Much appreciated. Oh, and Kait... hair looks good.

We had an older one in there but swapped out for this because of Apple Play. We love it.
