This is a very good incubator ,,i have tested it 7 batches ,,, you have to calibrate it ,, you have to sometimes switch the fan to blow away from the eggs .,,, you have to set the max
temp to 38c or 39c
I bought one of these. It lasted one month. I had about 24 eggs in it and at about 14 days into incubation I noticed that the power was off.... I checked the grid power and it came into the unit, but no display.
I checked all wiring. I took the main board out and probed to find fault, but didn't find any. It has a plc and I cannot check that so I decided to modify the unit by rescuring what I could. I chocked the main board into the bin. I used a timer to control the egg rotaton motor. Six settings of each one minute which will give about 3 turns of the motor. Then I used a thermostat/humidity control unit which is wired up to the heater.
So I rescued the box, the fan, the heater, the egg rotating trays. I now have a perfect incubator which keep the humidity to my liking and the temperature between 37.8 and 37.3 degrees. So my costs are approximately: Timer $7, Control unit $20. Cheers.

Hi! I had bought this and it just seems like the heater in the unit just want to get hotter and hotter does not care what I select for temperature. So if I bought a new control unit how would I set it up with machine??

Thank you very much for this video and these instructions. I lost the user manual for my hdd 24 and the incubator kept reaching 38:5 even tho the H8 limit was 38 and the temperature was at 37:6. I was checking settings to see how I can fix it but your video helped a lot. I will get an extra thermostats tomorrow and fix the temps. It costed me heavy but I learnt now. 🥺 had 22 eggs in there last time and only hatched 4 chicks. Now I know the reason was this calibration problem.

@@Funfood12146 Sorry. I haven't used it in a year and it is in storage. Be sure to keep it in the foam packaging that it comes in and keep enough water in it. When hatching, add a wet sponge. This will increase the moisture for hatching. I got good results from it with this method.

I like you haha. I have the same headache for sure!!! I bought the 64 hhd incubator. When I bought a second thermometer/hygrometer. No matter what it is showing 45°C.. it has a mind of it's own and wants to continue to heat up. I cannot get my incubator to lower it's own temperature.
Thank you. I had same problem first. I fix it with clean and desolder card. If you have little elektronic knowledge or handy friends who have it i think you can fix it as me. You can find how to disassemble part 5 of this series.

Thank you very much for this good comment. I am on 3rd attempt now. First two hatch rate was %50. Humidity is big problem i cant control to rise or less it when i want. If you have problem with humidity empty water channel and add water to side pocket witch is for hold egg try in place. When i fill 4 pocket with water i get 40 - 50 humidity then on lock down i add water to channel rise it to 70 - 80. Dont forget 1.3 Switch on your power source. :D Good luck.

Thank you for your video it is helping me so much as I have just bought this machine. I have another temperature gauge inside the incubator just to make sure the temperature is correct or not and you are correct. I have set the incubator to 37.5 but the other temperature gauge inside say 83. What number should I calibrate on the incubator

Thank you!!! I bought the "Headache Hatcher" and your video helped me so much! My incubator seems to be working OK, but I'm having trouble getting the humidity correct. I will be purchasing a hydrometer to put on the inside as well.
Humidity is really big problem on this incubator. My advice is dry incubate. If you see side of incubator you will see 4 pocket two each side. If you add water in that 4 pocket humidity will go around 45. Until lockdown keep it like that if water finish add more. At lockdown fill two water channel under the plastic mesh. This will rise humidity good enough. Don't forget to cover lid with towel or something like that. Because lid get cold and makes rain from wapored water inside. I lost many chick until i recognize this.

Yes but this dosent mean all incubator equals. If you add extra small termometre in you will be save. Calibration is important after one week of the incubating. Because embryos grow and produce heat. When this heat starts you shuld calibrate again. Thank you for watching.

HELP! I have had eggs in for two days. Now, my incubator display , same as yours, states 37.6 c but inside temperature is 47.7 c. I have turned down the CA,,AS,AH,,HS & LS. My CA is set at -9.9 c but the inside temperature is still at 47.7 c and incubator temperature on display is 18.9 c. Is the incubator gone too far or am I not adjusting correctly? Thank you

-0.8 will correct it. Every 2 - 3 days you have to recalibrate. Because when embryo grow heat up around.

On these make sure you “calibrate with a seperate thermometer and hydrometer “ read book that comes with it to do this. Mine came and wasn’t calibrated and cooked my lil eggs at 106* while showing 35.7 !!

Glad it helped. You can left just 3 rows. But if it is led model you have to take off all led from all row.

If you want rise close around with masking tape but until lock down day this humidity will be no problem. At lock down just add more water and put wet sponge in it.
My HHD incubator like your but if I try to set temperature and humidity I can't save changes always temperature and humidity is automatically and temperature is around 36-38. And humidity is around 67-70. Is there any problems there??? If there how I can do to fix it??

You can save as i explain on video first set temp then push set buton again to save. Humidity is just indicator show how much humidty. There is it no setting for it to change up or down. Add water and start incubator 3 days before you put egg in it. If humidity high empty one water chanel.

The humidity is high look it’s misty ! It should be at lease 43 to 45 I have a big one 500 eggs
I forgot, I also used a plug pack, 240 vac to 12 vdc,,, for input to the control unit and the 12 vdc fan, and the timer. The motor, the heater uses 240 vac.

Put another humidifier in it. water channel is not 4 chambers you filled in. it is two line around fan deep down in incubator. if you pull out plastic mesh under you can see it more clearly. I actually don't fill channel until lock down. i filled 4 chambers as you this keep humidity around 40% then on lockdown day i fill two water channel under. This will rise your hatch rate.

No it doesn’t mean yours have a same problem. If it is heat up 45c and don’t go down it is same problem. If your incubator works normal it will work if you setup as I explain in video. There is no exact number. You need extra small termometer to put in side and calibrate your incubator. After few days when callbiration finish you can put egg in it. Supli Abi thanks, but i still doesn’t quite understand what is calibration and its importance because the machine is automatic and it should do all the work for it self. When the temperature increase the machine should decrease it automatically. Isn’t that right?
If you put termometer in it you will understand. Factory and your house is different environment. There is no one setting works for all season and places. For this they add calibration mode to incubator.
Supli Abi Supli Abi so what i understated is that i should put a thermometer inside so that the difference between the temperature inside and what the temperature shown in the machine, i setup the difference in calibration for example inside 38 and machine is 39 so the calibration should be set at 1.
You shuld read inside temperature. Exemple if inside 39c. This mean incubator heat to much go calibration and set 2. This will tell the incubator it read 2 celcius wrong then it get calibrated.

When first start how much water u put in back hole
FAN problem. I had it blinking or flashing as well. The display shows fan works, but the fan actually does not. Probably not enough AMPs to get it started. I got to the fan unit and wiggled with the fan while switched off, and when switched on it started to work. Be careful with electricity. If the unit is on and the fan does not turn give it a little push with the finger or a little stick or pencil. Mine started to turn. Solution: Probably buy a new fan, or try to oil the turning mechanism and hope it will work better. I started my with a little stick and the FAN stopped flashing. So the problem is starting the fan to turn, in my opinion.

Want to knw your calibration for the first week of incubation
It depends of weather. Put extra termometer in and use empty for at least one day to calibrate it. Every time you plan to start incubation do this procedure again. There is no best number set and go for it.

Go humidity settings and set it down as i show in video. Humidity alarm will close. I add water to side pockets which for holding egg trays. This keep humidity aorund 40%. I dont add any water to water channel until lockdown. Lockdown day i fill two water channel this rise humidity around 70%. One more tip is cover lid with towels to keep it warm. If lid cold water rain to the eggs and kill them.

No factory reset for all setting but you can 0 day counter by press reset button for few second.

There is no one best setting for everywhere and everyone. You have to set your incubator in your condition. If you know how to use this incubator it gives almost %100 hatch rate. Calibrate your incubator as i explain in videos. You will get good hatch rate.

I get same incubator. The fan icon appears and disappears. In the place where the temperature is displayed, the numbers and letters change, saying "FAN". the incubator beeps. Can you tell me what the problem is. Also the heating icon appears and disappears. The temperature rises slightly
Hi you have to disassemble and check fan and heater connection. There must be some problems. If you still have warranty send back and get other one.

If membranes dry humidity is low you have to rise humidity in lockdown day. Please watch my lockdown video for more details. If eggs and chick mushy watery humidity is too high. Try dry hatch and cover with towels top lid of incubator.

This machine has no english user manual in factory. They just copied someone's blog and print that as manual and that blog which they copied is not for this model incubator.
Few example from user manual will give you better idea: "4.5 I tend to fill both my water channels every 4 to 5 days and at day 18 when I remove the egg trays I over fill them to increase the humidity to about 65%.
HD - Default setting is 11 ( I believe its Heat Down power setting, controlling the power to maintain the heater at the desired temperature setting. (incubating temperature adjustment)"
As you see above you can read user manual just for fun. This is why i start to make this video series.
I have a moisture problem with my 56-egg automatic incubator once I turn it on and the humidity rises to 30% it is maintained there is and it does not go up even though both poses are full of water, does anyone know what happens to my incubator and how to solve this?

Hello,
Under egg tray there is cable and wire connection. Be sure connector fit and all connected. If any problem on that wire you have to change wire with new. Pls do all without electric plug connected.
This incubator dont set humidity. Just show humidity level on screen. If you want down just wait few days and dont add water or you can try open small space when you close cover for a few minute than fit back all.
Temperature probe in this incubator is not high end technology it fail to much. To set incubator temperature between probe and real world. You need one more thermometer to put inside incubator and read temperature form that. If temperature on incubator screen and inner thermometer read same. You dont need to make any calibration. If inner higher or lower then incubator screen you have to go setting then CA option. From there you can set it up or down until you read same temperature between two.

Unfortunately, my incubator came without LEDs or wires :-/ I guess mine can't enable the egg candler feature. I looked up Google and saw that there was supposed to be a small LED and some foil to conduct electricity on my tray, mine has neither. Thank you for the video, I've liked :-)
Dont worry about it. Incubator LED candling is useless. If it is now i will buy same model as yours. It is ligth all around but not egg. :)

Because lid is coldest part. Cover lid with towels or blankets to keep hot. Don’t forget to wipe collected water on lid. It not good if dropping to eggs.

if water containers inside is full and you want to increase the humidity, put another container inside to increase the humidity.if you want to decrease, dont fill all 4 containers and check the indicators if that will satisfy your desired humidity

You have to buy one more small thermometer to put inside. Read that thermometer then calibrate incubators thermometer. If you already have it and you are asking how to understand which one is right? You have to calibrate incubator to inside one and wait until hatch. If hatch start before day 21 this mean your inner thermometer show more then normal temperature . If hatch after day 21 thermometer shows less then normal temperatures. If hatch day 21 all is correct. 😀

@@micaelavillagarcia3023 there is no button to change the humidity. Basically what I did was put no water in incubator until day 18 and humidity level stayed between 34-40. In day 18 I put water in incubator so humidity stayed between 60-70. I had abt 70 percent hatch rate with this.
