He probably could but he doesn't have the money and mark 1-4 are probably actually possible in real life but the problem is the power supply, because finding a good power supply for an iron man armor is pretty much impossible in real life these days...

There's no arc reactor, no energy thrusters and no servos small and powerfull enough to create basically hollow robotic limbs, not to mention gloves. There's a lot of technologies completely missing that are needed to make anything close to an iron man suit.
