Fun facts: While his original shield is bigger (2600cm squared), the Wakandan shield is only 1600cm squared. But since there are two, they actually offer more cover together, than the original shield by itself!

The original is made for throwing and for smashing. The new one is made for piercing and being more mobile. I'd much rather have the original as the shape would make it more effective at defence. Though it dosent have offensive capabilities the ability to throw it is super effective in general. Also the old one had more wear in the video so if assume if we had 2 updated models of each made with the same materials it would be better at bullets hands down.

I don't think one _is_ better than the other. The seem pretty even in their defensive and offensive capability, barring the old shield's not being bulletproof.
That’s a pretty big difference.
One does weigh a lot more than the other, which doesn't really help either with offense or defense in the long run. (hint: i'm talking about the new shield)
The original can withstand gamma radiation and Miljnor and if your going to have a contest for the old shield look in the comics more than the movies the old Shield has been through hell and we have just seen the new shields and don’t yet know what they can actually do. I going to go with the old shield.

The wakandian shield is slightly heavier and more defence against bullets and the old shield is more destructive and easy to use.

Ok. I have to admit this is hard to judge as both have there special quirks but overall the wakandan shield is better. Styling wise has to go to the classic though... wonder what the wakandan shield would look like with the classic colors.

i would say wakanda america's shield is better for better manuever ability.. IF, Marvel could combine both of the shields into one whole new shield it will be so awesome. Imagine old round captain america's shield has some specials ability like shrinking and widening like GoW Kratos's shield and has some piercing ability, don't forget that the shield can be dual wielded like wakanda shield..
