    Low just be straight lying because in 1986-87 Jordan avg 11.9 FT per game. So sure he didn't average 12 FT technically but that is essentially 12. So he says he had to go all the way back to see someone averaging that many FTs. What???? Jordan averaged 9.1 FT is his rookie year in a time where they could literally knock your head off and not get called for a foul. Jordan can't average 3 more FTs in this milk toast era where you look at a player and you get a foul. Just horrible take after horrible take. Also LBJ has never averaged 8 points off of fast break points. The closed he's gotten to that number is 6.8. If Booker can average 6.7 on fast break point in a season then Jordan definitely could. Westbrook was has been close a couple of times also. Low needs to learn to do some research. Giannis has average over 8 points of Fast breaks 5 straight times. Even a guy like Buddy Hield averaged in 6 points in transition in 2018-2019 but you are saying rookie Jordan couldn't do that? Some of these takes are so bad and fool of just plain false lies.

I don’t think he would lead the league, but I think he fits in perfectly into the systems that are run today where a skilled wing drives and kicks. He would annihilate the game. The simple fact he plays like russell Westbrook every game and had such solid fundamentals at that early in his career. I see jordan a 30 PPG scorer on very good clips.

    Just saying, i dont buy the "they wouldnt let a rookie play that much". Rookie MJ was playing the same amount of minutes than prime Magic, Hakeem as the number 1 pick he played 3 less minutes than MJ. It wasnt that they allowed rookies to play 40 minutes per game, is that MJ was an anomaly, they made an exception for him because he was worth it. So MJ playing 35 minutes per games wouldnt surprise me.
    Also, MJ shot 9 free throws per game in his rookie season, now they call less free throws because everyone is shooting 3s and you dont get calls as often shooting compared to attacking the rim like players did in the 80s. If MJ played in this era he is getting a lot of free throws because he attacks the rim and defender can create a little less contact. So 9 free throws attempts again sounds normal to me.
    The difference is he would attack the rim in an absurd rate, like even more than Giannis or Westbrook and being more skilled at finishing. 27 or 28 points sounds fine for me and when he reached his 87 form he would lead the league in points every year just like he did.

      Zone defense instead of 1v1. He would average a more assists than points in comparison. And part of the reason he shot so much was cause he was placed on a coke team with players so bad who couldn't shoot. The average NBA player is a better today than the average yesterday we saw it when he was winning chips as soon as he wasn't surrounding by such bums his fg attempts went down He couldn't trust guys to hit shots and I don't blame him. MJ averaged 9 FT attempts as a rookie in the 80’s, so I could believe he would average 12 in today’s game with more fouls, softer defense, and flopping.
    He also shot 51.5% from the field as a rookie, so idk where this notion that he couldn’t shoot came from.
    He averaged 2.4 steals a game, and ran a 4.3 as a sophomore in college, so I could easily see him averaging 6-8 points per game on fast break.
    Marz lied. The pace of the game statistically is faster now than in the 80’s. This is the fastest pace of play since the 60’s.
    Also, this notion that a rookie couldn’t have the ball in their hands that much is just pure stupidity. Bron had the ball that much as a rookie, and MJ is a much better scorer than him.
    Also, Low and Marz lied, because on basketball reference, it shows MJ shot 52.5% on 2 point attempts, and it doesn’t state the efficiency of those shots and their distance because it WASNT TRACKED YET. There is no evidence to support their claims. All it shows is that he shot 52.5% on 2PA in 1985.
    And you can also tell none of them have played basketball on a bad team before. Because when you’re a good player, and you play on a bad team, literally you have the ball in your hands every possession, and the offense runs through you. So imagine that, but with the greatest player of all time, in an era where you literally can barely get touched, and get a foul called.

    I love how confidently they say Jordan “couldn’t” shoot his rookie year as if they actually have the stats or have gone and watched him play that year. How tf you gonna say this man couldn’t shoot??? The dude literally shot 45% from outside 3ft as a 34+ year old leading the league in both total attempts and attempts per game and was still shooting 40% from outside 3ft as a 39+ year old shell of himself on the wizards and was shooting his attempts consistently from an average distance of 14ft. KD shoots the same average distance consistently around 14ft and shoots 44% from outside 3ft. Are we about to say KD can’t shoot now??????
    Luka led the league in attempts per game last season and shot 44% from outside 3ft with only a 1ft higher average shot distance of just under 15ft.
    Jason Taytom led the league in total attempts and shot 38% from outside 3ft at the same distance as Luka.
    Jaylen Brown was also up there in attempts last year and he shot 41% from outside 3ft at the same average shot distance as MJ!!!!!
    Are we about to say all those guys who literally just had All NBA seasons CANT SHOOT?????????
    Seriously much worse could a rookie MJ’s shooting stats actually be from his prime then???? Especially with him most likely taking less shot attempts from outside 3ft overall.
    Y’all just wanna say MJ couldn’t shoot for the sake of saying “MJ couldn’t shoot”.
    If rookie MJ couldn’t shoot then not sure if 90% the league today could qualify as being able to shoot then.

    If rookie jordan came into the league today it's very reasonable to say that he would average less than what he did his 83 rookie season. The pace is slower today no matter what the league tries to do to speed it up so that means jordan gets less possessions per game to score. The average ppg is up because teams take vastly more 3s per game, but that wasn't jordan game he even said so himself. So how will Jordan PPG go up without trying to magically turn him into one of the better 3pt shooters in the league?

    • @sergeistalin7916
      @sergeistalin7916 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mean, i dont buy it. He averaged 35 points in 24 shots, Harden averaged 36 shooting the same ammount of shots plus one more free throw.
      So without a 3 point shot he was as efficient as some of the best volume scorers in the NBA today.
      I think he would have an even better FG% today than in 83, that why i think he would average between 28 and 30.

    • @BLee09
      @BLee09 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @sergeistalin7916 We're only talking about rookie jordan, tho. So whatever he did in his prime scoring years really shouldn't matter or factor into the conversation. Jordan shot 51-52% his rookie year. Now you're telling me that he's going to come into the league shoot less shots *remember the pace is slower today* but he'd be more efficient to the point where he'd still average more points? C,mon man he'd literally be dipping into SHAQ type efficiency. That's crazy. This is a guard we're talking about he won't be taking all of his shots at the rim.

    • @sergeistalin7916
      @sergeistalin7916 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BLee09 I just mentioned that the 35 ppg season to show that you dont need 3s, you just need to shot efficently. And MJ as a rookie he had a effective eFG% close to prime James Harden.
      Jordan only needs 19 or 20 shots to average the same 28 points he did in his rookie season. Cade Cunningham in his rookie season took 17 shots per game shooting 41% from the field. You really think that if a rookie shots over 50% like Jordan they are not letting him take 19 shots?
      And a guard taking all those shots at the rim is crazy? WHO KNEW? MJ WAS FUCKING CRAZY and it was even more crazy in the 80s when you had 4 players always in the paint blocking the way.

    All this guessing on Jordan’s shooting as a rookie is conjecture. It is not a solid argument based on factual numbers. Just throwing sh8t out there doesn’t make it so. Jordan’s mid range as a rookie is better than a lot of players today. It was spotty but it went in. I don’t think jordan leads the league as a rookie but he’s getting 30. He already had college experience when college was actually full of talent and players stayed. He fits into the offenses today flawlessly. What do they do space out drive kick. Absolutely no one is stopping him from getting to the cup, and he doesn’t need to make pin point passes because players are wide open. I saw this man with my own eyes. He plays with passion like russell Westbrook someone with that much heart and athleticism on top of solid fundamentals Is going to kill it. And he never stops, doesn’t get tired, he just keeps going and going and going at u.

    If History repeats itself, and rookie gets teleported into todays league as the 3rd pick, he’s gonna go to Houston, and would have to share the ball with Jalen Green, already that’s less shot attempts and less minutes he’s gonna be playing, rookie MJ was getting 38 minutes a game with 20 shot attempts a game, he’s not doing that if Jalen Green wants his 22 pts a game 😭, and rookie Mj shot like 9% from three even with the 3pt lime being shorter back then, so he’s just gonna be a 6’6 weaker Giannis, and In the 80s there was barely to none zone defense or teams playing a wall, most of it was just iso plays so how would a rookie just magicaly adjust to a zone, ALSO the 80s league average in points is more than it is today, and yes the league was more physical back then but today there’s more athletic guards defending than there was in the 80s, at MOST he’s getting like 25 a game he’s not leading the league

      For one the line wasn't shortened until the 93-94 season and Jordan shot 42% with the shorter line so you are already wrong 😂. To your other points about zone defense you do realize that it was legalized to increase ball movement and improve scoring right? The league still has plenty of iso going on so Jordan would still get his. Lastly facing more athletic guards won't mean anything for three reasons 1) Jordan is still more athletic than 99% of player's today and 2) being more athletic doesn't improve your defense 3) the league has changed multiple rules to make scoring easier but yet you say a rookie Jordan would struggle 🤔 yeah not buying it
