      The difference is there are playoff series LeBron should have won but he didn't such as 09 against Orlando and 11 against the Mavs of course. Jordan (outside of 95 which I kind of excuse MJ for is the only example) won every series he should have won

    • @Woofreestyle
      @Woofreestyle ปีที่แล้ว +28

      @@thomasscott1568 The reason Lebron is a little harder to judge by that metric. A lot of the teams Lebron were a part of were only good because he was playing on them. Those early Cavs teams during his first time in Cleveland weren’t that good. You take him off the team they wouldn’t even make the playoffs. I believe LeBron was the only player better than his matchup in that Orlando series. I truly believe the Magic were a better and more talented team player for player.

That's why they moved MJ back to his natural position and the team started winning. but the other 3 while filling the Stat sheets every night chasing records and individual accolades can hardly be considered dominant or consistent winners. @marrmarbinks They didn't have to stop a soul. The opponents were self checked due to being trash.
      They were horrible because they were constructed around a ball dominant player. Playing 5 out with 4 three point shooters and spamming PnR and DnK doesn't work. Didn't work for Lebron, didn't work for Harden, didn't work for Luka, nobody. It's a fancy way to win 50 games before losing the 2nd you face an actual contender in the playoffs, that's it. Players that only excel in that role don't have much value because teams constructed that way can't win titles. Real value is in a player's abilty to fit alongside other ball dominant players and cooperate within a team framework. Lebron is great in a ball domaint role, not so much in a team context. That's why he's consistently underachieved.

    Let's remember what the roster was at the beginning. Dwyane Wade was on that team. Let's not forget that Kevin Love had to alter his game because he played with lebron. That's not a problem with Jordan. So he would still be able to crash the boards just as much as he did prior to playing with LeBron james. That ads rebounds and put backs on the offensive end. You can essentially play Dwyane Wade at the point position and play Jordan at the two. Isaiah Thomas's role changes because now he's coming off the bench so all he has to do is provide quality minutes off the bench coming off that injury much like a John Paxton or Steve Kerr. Let's also not have revision history because when the Cavs picked up D-Rose, Wade, IT, Crowder and others the media was hyping them up. Isaiah Thomas even called out the team for not practicing and when Crowder got traded he said it was nice to play in a real System again. Jordan being a better scorer, shooter, defender, an underrated passer/playmaker you can't convince me a prime Jordan isn't getting those 18 Cavs to the Finals.

    I don’t think ticket ride Jordan, I think most people just refuse to acknowledge that Jordan was that great of a player in his own era, and that in this Era everything about MJ would be inflated.
    It’s a tough pill to swallow. It’s something we can never see happen. All we can do is go off the facts that Jordan got:
    6 finals MVP’s, DPOY, 9All nbA defensive 1st teams, 10 all nbA fist team, 2 three peats, 10 consecutive scoring titles (take away retirement years), 3x steal leader, 5x mvp.
    And the man did all this even after retiring because his father was murdered.
    And then he retired again because he got 3 more consecutive champions/finals MVP’s with a whole new roster aside from Pippen.
    And then just came back for the hell of it wit his old ass and was still ballin 😂.
    Jordan was different. He was “Quintessential” to the Bulls success. He was one of a kind.
    Other players can be great… 100%. But Jordan will be the greatest until he’s truly outdone. Again, the man has the accolades he has and took 2 retirements.
    No one else can do that 😂 or will ever be able to do that 😂

    • @StCropper
      @StCropper ปีที่แล้ว

      @@huhmf4815 I’ll never understand the argument of “Jordan didn’t beat Prime Lakers, Celtics, and Pistons”.
      Every player has to experience growth. People act like Jordan wasn’t supposed to do that. He had his growing pains WITH his team and through it. Bird and Magic were already in their 5th year when Jordan came.
      Jordan had no help when he was drafted to the Bulls. No matter what narrative anyone tries to paint that he did. He was the best rebounder, scorer, defender, free throw shooter, and passer on his team. He was solo man. But if there was chance to get an early championship, this was it…. AS A ROOKIE 😂 (come on now who really does that)
      Next year, the injury. But even after 18 games it was looking the same from the previous season. No help, just MJ doing everything. He gets healthy enough for the playoffs, but the man only played 18 games in the season lol 😂. It’s his seconds season. And again NO HELP! It was the same squad from the season before. So how can you expect him to be fresh off injury entering in the playoffs, average 40+ points, with literally no help when he’s the team leader in every category…. Please explain that.
      Year 3, the Return. And arguably Jordan’s best year… but guess what… he’s still the best on his team at doing EVERYTHING except now, he’s got Charles Oakley. And Oakley can rebound and almost give you 15. Paxxson barely gives you 10, and that’s it. No other real production from anywhere. So Jordan still going thru it.
      Year 4: now this is where it got interesting. Jordan still being him, but he starts getting more help than he had, which still didn’t equate to a lot… seriously lol 😂. Pippen rookie season. Paxxson understanding his shot a little better. Oakley still on the boards. And Doug Collins in full control with the Coaching. Now the team can actually build up from a foundation. Because clearly, as Jordan alone showed, ONE PLAYER CANT DO IT ALL AND EVERYTHING.
      Year 5: Jordan is still being Jordan. But he needs help. And it’s growing man. Pippen starts establishing himself. He’s putting up some points, defending, but most of all impacting. And now Horace Grant. Remind you, him and Pippen are in their 2nd years. But again, you see the impact, and finally Jordan has some help. Some real help. Oh and don’t forget Cartwright this year.
      Year 6: At this point everything has been fine tuned, now it’s just matter of time. Pippen building up experience, learning his role. Paxxson understanding his role as far as spotting up in the corner. Horace just like Pippen understanding his role. And Phil Jackson comes in the fold. And finally Jordan doesn't need to do EVERYTHING…. Still does 😂. Because Jordan is the “Quintessential” piece to everything that happens next year. Which is the start of the 3 peat.
      My point: No, Jordan completely by himself with no help that could compete or defenders on his team could beat a prime Lakers, Celtics, Pistons.
      It’s idiotic to expect that that he could of or should of with the team he had. Jordan was LITERALLY the team. And that’s not to be taken lightly. He was doing EVERYTHING. Leading his team in those early Bulls years…. AND STILL finding his way to the playoffs.
      Despite all that, the biggest takeaway that should be on everyone’s radar and what makes Jordan the Goat is that once his team was right, through all the time he put in, and the foundation getting built… Jordan PRODUCED thru ALL OF IT!
      and then Defended his PRODUCTION with his team, that was built from the ground up, for 3 consecutive championships!.
      Then his dad is MURDERED! So he retires, comes BACK. (because ultimately Pippen asked him and wanted him to come back, but that’s my opinion 😂). And then DOES IT AGAIN WITH AN ENTIRELY NEW ROSTER (aside from Pippen of course).
      Jordan has the greatest Legacy because of this. And now a days everyone is trying so hard to tarnish it by saying Lebron is better or that era wasn’t this, and a whole bunch of shit.
      The truth is, a lot of yal didn’t see him play, didn’t understand his journey, didn’t research all the facts that are outside the stat sheet and don’t consider how difficult his road was, and don’t respect him. A lot of Yal would rather just be Jordan haters because you love Lebron so much and that’s weird to me. Always will be.
      There’s a reason the MVP award is getting named after Jordan.

      And the biggest Difference is Free Throw shooting. Jordan would of been averaging 40 and shooting 85% or better from the Line. Would of whipped them boys into a competitive mindset and got em in shape in the locker room 😂.
      I’m serious. I have no reason to believe based on the evidence of his teams success in 6 finals and two completely different teams that Michael Jordan would not of won the 2018 finals. There’s no way you can convince me of that.
      Maybe if Jordan lost a final, then maybe I’d see the argument. But because he hasn’t and we’ve seen how Jordan played in crunch time in the finals, there’s no way with a straight face I can say “Jordan wouldn’t of won”. And that’s Ticket’s point I believe.
      But the team would of looked different. More Similar to a 09’, 10’ Lakers with Jordan at the Helm.
