    Marz isn’t aknowledging that MJ won 3 in a row not just 3 but in a row, also the Bad Boys pistons that MJ and the bulls defeated were all very close in age to MJ, same with Magic, it’s not like these dudes got old. MJ just kept getting better and then he came back 2 years later mid-season shook the rust off and his next full season set the all time regular season wins record and won 3 more in a row. Plus by the time he won the first one he had a year where he was DPOY, MVP, Steals champ and Scoring champ in the same season.

    If anyone looks it up, Jordan in May 1993 when he only had 2 Championships & 3 MVPs was getting talked about as the GOAT despite having significantly less accolades then Kareem & Russell.
    With Jordan people conflated his popularity & marketability with his basketball greatness back then.
    So much ridiculous deification of Michael Jordan that no player has ever had that kind media glorification before or after Michael Jordan despite reaching similar levels of greatness.

    • @christheophilus7154
      @christheophilus7154 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      he was the first player to ever win DPOY and MVP in the same year while averaging 35 points per game and led the league in scoring, (which is enough to lead even today's league in scoring) while also leading the league in total steals (200+) and had over 100 blocks that season. it's a feat no player has done before or since. and he did that in his 4th year. By 93 he added 2 more MVPs and 5 more scoring titles, 4 more 200+ steal seasons. These are just facts. While i don't agree with people idolizing Jordan and the media did promote him a lot because they wanted to use his image to promote the game globally, but all that came because he was so good. people saying he was the best player to ever play by year 9 (even before ring 3) is not a stretch or undeserved credit.

      These achievements still stand after 20+ years of being retired.

      Correct. And it seems like people are afraid to speak the truth about MJ because they don't be accused of "glazing." The truth is, Jordan is actually severely UNDERRATED. There's so many aspects of his game that don't get talked about that made him the greatest ever. And 12yr olds like Marz have NO CLUE about it because idiots like Skip Bayless have reduced Jordan's greatness to "6-0." This is a dude who literally perfected his craft and jam-packed like 3 HOF career's in 11 full seasons. Greatest competitor and two-way player ever. Bird said his famous quote in 1986. Magic in like 1991 and Barkley in I think 1993 or at least thought it then. These are hall of fame players. These are top 10 if not top 5 players saying he is the best they have ever seen play and it wasn’t based on his accomplishments. It was watching him play and then seeing he better than everyone even them. And because he was better than everyone he got those accolades. Which is why even before the 6-0 finals record he was considered by many to be the GOAT.

    Jordan 3-peating twice, is something that no one will be able to replicate again.
    Not only because it's extremely difficult to do, but because the NBA environment won't let it happen. There's way too much player movement, and teams have a difficult time keeping their core players together.
    I don't think MJ getting a statue at the United Center after 3-peating was glaze...but the way people be talking about MJ as if current players aren't better than him now, that's the glaze.
    Athletes get better over time. Carl Lewis was a dominant sprinter back in the 80's and 90's, breaking 10 seconds for the 100m fifteen times. The man bagged 9 Olympic Gold Medals and World Championship Gold Medals.
    Asafa Powell is a better sprinter. He doesn't have the amount of wins that Carl Lewis has, but his times are faster and he ran sub-10 seconds 97 times (more consistently than anyone).
    A lot of people are overly focused on outcomes instead of just evaluating the person's game.
