I bought one of the evox2 400.4 about two months ago. I was pretty happy with it until yesterday. Driving down the street with the volume at 15. I have the same deck used in the video sony dsx-gs80. Volume goes to 50 for reference. It just stopped making sound. Still turned on and off. No fuse blown. Wasn't hot. No smoke or smell. Everything was hooked up correctly with quality wire and rca. Gains set properly with oscope and dmm. Just stopped for no reason. Luckily the place i bought it from warrantied it but needless to say I'm shopping for a different amp. In over the decades of being a cat audio enthusiast. This is the first amp that's ever failed on me. Should have bought a rockford or jl.
Those on amazon are the (Brazilian) (cheaper version evo 4.0) these are American versions evo x and evo x2 . Very different im telling you because i have both and i can tell the difference in build quality.
It's rated 223rms x4 at 2ohms at 14.4 volts and it put out more than rated power At less than rated voltage actualy so it's not under performing like someone stated, its over performing unlike euphoria xperert900.4 wich was way way under rated power
@@coleclement3264not true. When you have around 1,000 watt system at max volume with no electrical upgrades you will be at ~10 volts. With an extra battery an upgraded agm upfront you will be around ~12 volts. No car with a system is actually staying at 14 volts, unless you’re doing 80mph down the freeway. That’s why these amps are so expensive, 12.6 volts is more of a real world voltage. No car is ever at 14.4 constant

Congrats Cody to show the true on this market.
Hell yeah my dude makin vids again!
Thanks for the testing!
Where are the other amp tests you referred to in the video? Did I miss them?
Could you test the SounDigital 600.4 EVO 5?
Can you dyno test those Prv amp . No one online did those brailian amp yet on a dyno
Did he say 499.99?? For an 800 watt amp
It's more about them being so compact.
But it's still way overpriced
Can you test more soundigital amplifiers pleasee?
Can you test soundigital evox 2 5000.1
No test on the 400.4?
I just got 3 of these
This amp isn't performing as it should. The rated power is at 12.6, not 13.75 nor 14.4. With that said, it doesn't deliver as advertised
That's exactly what I thought It should be doing more
It says in the manual "Power rated at 14.4". Or am I missing something?

What vehicle runs at 12.6 volts? Tf most vehicles will charge around 14v with a 12v battery
