    Hi there! Did you need to replace anything on the outboard so that the throttle and shift cables would operate properly with the remote rather than the tiller control?

    • @Everydayfishing

      Unfortunately I don't have any experience with converting from tiller to remote controls. I'd recommend tracing the tiller throttle and shifter and seeing if those points match those in my video - go from there.

  • @rivvur
    @rivvur ปีที่แล้ว +1

    when you go and order the steering cable from the website it has various lengths, 13ft, 14ft, 15ft etc. is that the cable length measured from the motor, around the sides of the boat and in towards the console? what happens if it is too long

    • @Everydayfishing
      @Everydayfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you should take a string or flexible tape and measure the path your steering cable will take, then round up to the nearest measurement. They are pretty rigid, so too much extra would be tough to manage.

    • @Everydayfishing
      @Everydayfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      So there’s only 2 wires connected on each of the battery terminals. One set goes to the outboard, the other goes to the fuse panel. All electrics are then powered by the fuse panel. The only wire for the throttle controls is that thick one that plugs into the wire harness from the outboard. No power directly needed from battery to controls.
